Wang Yifan almost thought he had misheard the urgency in Wang Shu's voice.
He truly felt he had misheard.
"I'd like to see how much longer you can be so arrogant, kid!"
Wu Yifan clenched his fists and struck out at Wang Shu's face.
Although Wu Yifan hadn't received any formal martial arts training, his frequent workouts meant his punch carried considerable force.
To an outsider, if Wang Shu couldn't dodge, this punch would send him to the ground.
"Sigh, that little assistant, you should probably call an ambulance in advance!"
The investor representative beside them couldn't help but whisper to Su Yao.
In their eyes, Wang Shu was no match for Wu Yifan.
However, to everyone's surprise, Wu Yifan's first punch missed entirely.
Less than two centimeters from Wang Shu's face, Wang Shu's lips curved slightly upwards as he effortlessly dodged.
"You're too slow!"
Wang Shu shook his head with a sigh.
But before he could finish speaking, Wu Yifan, still unwilling to admit defeat, attempted to attack again while Wang Shu was distracted.
Wang Shu reacted quickly. Just as Wu Yifan's fist was about to connect, he subtly shifted again.
Wu Yifan missed once more.
With both his attempts easily thwarted by Wang Shu, Wu Yifan's eyes turned red with anger.
He grabbed a nearby chair and charged at Wang Shu.
"Wang Shu is finished now!"
"Wu Yifan seems to be cornered, he's even resorting to weapons."
"Everyone stay quiet, and make sure no one is filming secretly!"
At this moment, the investors and Wu Yifan's agent scanned their surroundings, ensuring that no video footage of the event would leak.
"Boss, please be careful!"
Su Yao, seeing him pick up the chair, called out with concern.
Wang Shu remained standing calmly, watching the deranged Wu Yifan charge at him with a chair.
Against Wu Yifan's mindless attacks, Wang Shu didn't need to employ his national martial arts skills.
The opponent's level was such that he didn't need to reveal his true capabilities.
Seeing Wang Shu stand still, a dark glint flashed in Wu Yifan's eyes.
When he was less than a meter away from Wang Shu, he swung the chair directly at him.
Though Wang Shu stood his ground, he was prepared. As the chair flew towards him,
He swiftly moved forward, closing the distance to Wu Yifan.
Then, with a single inch punch, he sent Wu Yifan staggering back over ten steps before collapsing onto the ground.
Before the chair hit the floor, Wang Shu casually caught it in mid-air, placed it on the ground, and sat down.
"I gave you so many chances, and you're completely useless!"
Wang Shu said with a sigh, patting the dust from his clothes.
Wu Yifan, sitting on the ground, felt an intense pain in his chest and a churning in his stomach.
Yet, to the onlookers, Wang Shu's inch punch didn't seem particularly powerful.
"Want to try again?"
After a long moment, Wang Shu calmly asked Wu Yifan, who was slowly getting up.
Wu Yifan remained silent, gritted his teeth in defiance, and charged at Wang Shu again.
Wang Shu sat on the chair, still composed, observing Wu Yifan's every move.
When Wu Yifan was less than a step away, Wang Shu raised his leg and delivered two forceful kicks.
The speed was so astonishing that no one present could clearly see what had happened.
"What kind of leg technique is that?"
"So fast!"
"I only saw afterimages just now!"
Many exclaimed in amazement.
They had never witnessed such speed before.
Wu Yifan, like a kite with a broken string, was sent flying by the two kicks.
If not for the wall, Wu Yifan would likely have flown dozens of meters.
Wu Yifan slammed into the wall and fell to the ground.
A few mouthfuls of blood then welled up in his throat.
"Mr. Wu!"
"Mr. Wu, are you alright!"
"Hurry and get Mr. Wu to the hospital!"
Wu Yifan's agent turned pale with shock and rushed to his side.
Several black-suited bodyguards then carried Wu Yifan into a waiting van and rushed him to the hospital.
"Mr. Wang, that was brilliant! Your performance today was truly that of a master!"
Chen Bo, who had been observing from the sidelines, applauded excitedly.
He had initially worried that Wang Shu might hesitate to act due to Wu Yifan's status and connections.
But he hadn't expected that this seemingly gentle young man would show no mercy when it came to a fight.
Perhaps he had been too lenient when dealing with those students last time.
"Not only was this guy utterly insolent, but he was also so arrogant on my home turf. I was merely teaching him a lesson!"
Wang Shu replied with a smile.
He had held back considerably. If he had used his full strength, Wu Yifan would likely be on his way to the underworld by now.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, he had only broken a few of the man's ribs as a warning, to let him know he wasn't to be trifled with.
"Chen Bo, you ungrateful wretch! Flyfan Capital is hereby withdrawing all of our investments from you!"
The investors, witnessing the scene, said angrily.
"No problem, get lost!"
Chen Bo completely ignored the investors and even told them to leave.
The moment he had allowed Wang Shu into the meeting room, he had decided to cut ties with these investors.
"Fine, you little brat, you can do this. I'd like to see how you'll survive in the film industry from now on!"
The investor representative, seeing Chen Bo tell them to leave, felt deeply insulted. He uttered threats as he walked out of the hotel.
"A bunch of capital's lapdogs! I've never liked them!"
Chen Bo spat contemptuously as the investors departed.
"Director Chen, you've just chased away the investors. How are you going to make the film?"
Wang Shu asked with a smile.
He couldn't help but feel a newfound respect for Chen Bo, who had the courage to drive away investors for his decision.
"I'm going all in. I plan to use all my savings from these past years!"
Chen Bo said after a moment of thought, his eyes firm.
"And what if the box office bombs?"
Wang Shu continued to inquire.
"If it bombs, I'll accept it. With you involved, even if this film fails, it will be my most satisfying work!"
Chen Bo replied with determination in his eyes.
"With those words, Director Chen, you can decide my salary. In fact, I'll even sign a profit-sharing contract with you!"
Seeing Chen Bo's generosity, Wang Shu patted him on the shoulder.
He was willing to take a gamble. He believed this film would be a massive success.
And if it was, he would reap enormous profits from the box office share.
"Are you serious? You're willing to sign a profit-sharing contract with me?"
Chen Bo asked, visibly excited, upon hearing Wang Shu's words.
"Yes, you can draft the contract now!"
Wang Shu nodded earnestly.
"Great, thank you so much! Here's the script. If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me anytime!"
Chen Bo handed Wang Shu a thick script and added.
As it was an action film to be shot overseas, the budget requirements were substantial.
Wang Shu's willingness to sign a profit-sharing contract was a great relief and reassurance for Chen Bo.
Now that he had no investors, he needed to be as economical as possible. Saving on Wang Shu's salary alone could allow for hundreds more shots.
Later, at Chen Bo's insistence, his assistant quickly drafted a new contract, agreeing to give Wang Shu ten percent of the net box office profits.
Wang Shu was surprised by Chen Bo's magnanimity, offering him such a large share.
However, it also demonstrated Chen Bo's gratitude and his character of not mistreating those who treated him well.
Wang Shu didn't hesitate and signed the profit-sharing agreement.
At Chen Bo's repeated request, he then had a meal at the film crew's accommodation.
During the meal, Chen Bo informed Wang Shu that the filming would likely commence in about a month.
For the next month, Chen Bo would be traveling abroad for location scouting and making final adjustments to the script.
He would officially notify Wang Shu to join the crew a month later.
Wang Shu acknowledged this and mentioned that he also needed to earn enough money within the month to extend his lifespan.
Working on set would leave him little time to earn extra income.
After leaving the set of "Kung Fu Youth," Wang Shu and Su Yao headed to their second project.
This film set had fewer complications. Wang Shu was still slated to be the lead actor.
However, other roles had not yet been finalized, and the script was still undergoing revisions, so the start date for filming was undecided.
This gave Wang Shu a much-needed breathing room. If both films were to start shooting simultaneously or back-to-back, he might not have been able to manage.
After concluding the contract negotiations, Wang Shu felt completely drained.
As he sat in the car back to the hotel with Su Yao, he leaned his head on her shoulder and fell asleep.
Seeing her boss's tired eyes close, Su Yao remained motionless, allowing him to rest his head on her shoulder.
This was one of the rare occasions where Wang Shu could rely on her. Although she was his assistant, there wasn't much she could do to help him.
Often, seeing the exhausted look on Wang Shu's face, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy.
After all, at his age, many were just naive and inexperienced youths just starting out in the world.
Yet, Wang Shu had already experienced so much.
Despite his terminal illness, she had never sensed any despair or discouragement from him.
The car continued to drive, but was suddenly halted by several vans.
As the van doors swung open, dozens of men in black, armed with golf clubs, emerged in a swarm.
