Chapter 156 A Hint of Strangeness

Thinking of those sacrificed by blood, Chu Lingwei's lips curved into a sarcastic smile.

There were no rituals, only waiting.

"Junior sister, when the Buddha's radiance intensifies, you can enter directly," Nangong Luo said in a low voice as he walked to Chu Lingwei's side.

"Okay," Chu Lingwei nodded.

"Junior sister, when you enter the spiritual realm, never be reckless. You must preserve your life," Nangong Luo's heart was filled with worry as he thought of his junior sister entering the spiritual realm.

He didn't quite understand why their master and senior brother had agreed to let junior sister enter. The spiritual realm was no good place.

"Second senior brother, don't worry, I will return safely," Chu Lingwei gave her second senior brother a reassuring smile. Even if everyone else didn't return, she, Chu Lingwei, would definitely emerge safely from here.

Chu Lingwei looked back, not seeing that familiar white figure, and a hint of disappointment flickered in her eyes.

Yesterday, senior brother had found her and told her that he had something very important to do today and couldn't escort her into the spiritual realm.

Knowing that senior brother wouldn't come, Chu Lingwei still held a sliver of hope.

Sensing the disappointment in his junior sister's eyes, Nangong Luo forced a cheerful smile, "Junior sister, of course, if you encounter any spiritual herbs or immortal medicine inside, you must bring them back for your senior brother."

"Don't worry, senior brother, I definitely won't disappoint you," Chu Lingwei smiled.

"Good, senior brother will await your good news."

As Nangong Luo finished speaking, the Buddha's Radiance Pagoda suddenly emitted a dazzling red light. Though it was a pagoda, a door formed by Buddha's radiance suddenly appeared on its body.

"Junior sister, enter the spiritual realm from here," Nangong Luo said to Chu Lingwei as he saw some cultivators already walking into the spiritual realm's gate.

"Second senior brother, I'm going in first." Chu Lingwei took one last look behind her. Senior brother's figure had not appeared. She bid farewell to her second senior brother and followed the other cultivators towards the spiritual realm's gate.

As Chu Lingwei stepped into the range of the spiritual realm's gate, she felt a surge of dense spiritual energy tightly enfolding her. Without her needing to guide it, this spiritual energy automatically flowed into her body.

"Such potent spiritual energy."

The spiritual energy of the Buddha's Radiance Pagoda was even denser than the spiritual energy in her own space.

Chu Lingwei stepped through the spiritual realm's gate, her body felt weightless, and when she opened her eyes again, she was in a desert.

There was no one around.

"Weiwei, this place is like the Hengtian Secret Realm, where you are all thrown to random locations," Huan Mao and Feng Ming emerged from her space simultaneously.

"It looks like this place is different from a secret realm," Chu Lingwei used her divine sense to scan the surroundings. Within her perception range, it was all desert.

"At least that's how it looks now," Huan Mao nodded. He didn't like this place. "Weiwei, let's leave here quickly. Places like this don't offer many opportunities, but they are very dangerous."

Hearing Huan Mao's words, Chu Lingwei couldn't help but smile. She took out her divine-grade flying artifact, intending to fly out of the desert.

The few of them sat on the artifact, looking down at the vast expanses of desert, all of them sighing.

"This place is so big."

They had been flying for three days, and still hadn't exited the desert, nor had they seen a single cultivator.

"How long will we be staying in the spiritual realm?" Chu Lingwei asked Feng Ming and the others. She remembered second senior brother telling her that the spiritual realm had no fixed time. When they were able to leave, they would be transmitted out.

"We don't know. It depends on how much fortune you gain inside. Once your fortune exceeds the realm's limit, you will be transmitted out."

Huan Mao seemed to have some memories of the spiritual realm, but they weren't very clear.

"There's such a saying?" Chu Lingwei became interested.

"Yes, so if we want to leave, we must find all the opportunities here," Feng Ming's small body leaped up directly, his face filled with determination, as if he intended to find all the opportunities here.

"Mm, that's a good idea. Let's find all the opportunities here," Chu Lingwei smiled, as if there were no other way besides this.

As they sat on the flying artifact, Chu Lingwei listened to Feng Ming and Huan Mao's discussion and they had already started to quarrel.

"There's nothing here," Feng Ming was very angry. They had been flying over the desert for a long time, encountering nothing, not even a single spirit beast.

"The fact that they could transmit us here means there must be something," Huan Mao was more persistent. He suggested to Chu Lingwei that they should go down and see if there were any opportunities here.

"We've been flying for so many days. If there were anything here, we would have discovered it immediately," Feng Ming sat next to Chu Lingwei, glaring at Huan Mao. This guy was too conceited.

Huan Mao was also angry. Feng Ming always liked to contradict him in everything, which infuriated him.

Chu Lingwei listened to their bickering and suddenly thought of a phrase, "a pair of sworn enemies," and couldn't help but find it amusing.

"Weiwei, do you also think there's something different about this place?" Feng Ming valued Chu Lingwei's opinion above all else. Seeing Chu Lingwei smile, he immediately jumped into her arms, his eyes filled with caution.

"I don't think anything is different, but I agree with Huan Mao. There does seem to be something strange here." Otherwise, they wouldn't have flown for three days in a divine-grade flying artifact and still not be out.

Feng Ming's eyes showed conflict. Even Weiwei said there was something strange here, so it must be.

"Alright, don't quarrel anymore. Let's leave here as soon as possible." Even though Chu Lingwei knew there was something strange below, she didn't intend to investigate. After all, she didn't particularly like the desert either.

Chu Lingwei closed her eyes and began to cultivate.

Suddenly, Chu Lingwei felt a slight anomaly in the spiritual energy within her body.

This greatly alarmed Chu Lingwei. Spiritual energy was the foundation of cultivation and could not have the slightest anomaly.

"You two stay here and observe your surroundings."

After instructing them, Chu Lingwei went straight into her space.

"Weiwei, why have you come in?" Yu Qinghong felt Chu Lingwei enter the space and immediately stepped forward. "You should be in the spiritual realm at this time."

"Grandpa Yu, please help me see if there's any problem with my spiritual energy?" Chu Lingwei brought Yu Qinghong to the waterfall, sat down, and began to circulate the spiritual energy within her body.

Yu Qinghong stepped forward, perplexed, and channeled his own spiritual energy into Chu Lingwei's body, observing carefully.

"Grandpa Yu, did you find anything?" Chu Lingwei turned her head to look at Yu Qinghong.

"It does seem a little different." Yu Qinghong didn't find anything wrong with Chu Lingwei's spiritual energy, but he felt an indescribable strangeness.
