Chapter 45: She Can Do What the Goddess can do
Zhou Laosan turned quiet, but the rest of the tribe were also looking at Ruan Chanchan with a hint of confusion in their eyes. Even though he was quite upset with Xie Daiyu for dumping such a grave responsibility on his sister, the first thing that he wanted to deal with was Zhou Laosan. Who did this woman think she was? How dare she continue calling his sister a fool?
This idiot would have died twice if he hadn’t saved her. Whom was she looking down at? Did she think that she was better than his sister just because she was normal?

"Enough." Chief Xie snapped. She put a hold on the quarrel and then turned to look at her son. She sighed and then said to Xie Daiyu, "Daiyu. Do you even know what you are saying? How can Ruan Chanchan do something that even those who were blessed by the Beast Goddess couldn’t do?"
Xie Daiyu knew that no one was going to believe him. However, when he thought of how Ruan Chanchan could do things that no one could, like creating fire and making things appear out of thin air, he gritted his teeth and said to his mother, "I am speaking the truth. If only you would give her a chance, then I am sure you would be surprised upon seeing what she can do. Please believe me." he hoped that his mother would trust him and give Ruan Chanchan a chance to prove herself.
