Chapter 28: Inn Features (Part 2)
Still, before purchasing, Finn continued to read the remaining ones, just in case.
[Noise Dampening Charms]
[Information: Enchants designated rest areas with sound-dampening wards that block external noise, ensuring a quiet and uninterrupted environment for sleep and recovery. Adds a minor increase in recovery rates. It will automatically deactivate upon the presence of danger.
Purchase Requirement: Upgraded Bedroom
Cost: 100 Hearth Points]
He shook his head. Another luxury.
[Cold-Heated Floors]
[Information: Increases/Decreases the temperature of floors and walls according to the season. Adjustable and ensures the atmosphere within the Inn is comfortable regardless of the outside weather.
Purchase Requirement: Basic Bedroom, Common Kitchen, Hot Springs
Cost: 100 Hearth Points]
"Hot Springs? I didn’t see any hot springs in the options."
"That’s because that’s only available when the Inn gets to Level 3, la."
"I see..."
So all functions that would be available to him were already here, regardless of whether he could ever apply them, seducing him and torturing him at the same time.
Fortunately, the inn does protect from the elements (even if the window was open, he could only feel a gentle breeze at most, even if it was windy), so he’d only have to worry about it if winter came.
"Does this place have winter?"
"Maybe."
Sigh.
He remembered the Panda mentioning he didn’t have information on this world, so it wasn’t really a surprise he was as clueless as he was.
[Monster Fog Suppression]
[Information: Adds monster suppression functions 300 meters beyond existing barriers. Can suppress monsters below Fortified Level for 1 minute. Has a cooldown of 10 minutes.
Purchase Requirement: Tier 2 Barrier
Cost: 500 Hearth Points]
Wow, so useful. This meant that monsters could get intimidated just by getting near the vicinity! Regardless of whether he was planning on going on to fight, this was too useful! For example, it would passively slow down the reduction of Defense Points!
He looked at the chill Panda. "What’s the requirement to upgrade the Barrier?"
When the Panda didn’t answer immediately, Finn added: "Surely, such a thing isn’t a secret right? The Great Spirit can give out that simple information, right?"
"Accumulated 100,000 Defense Points consumed."
"..."
So it’d take a while then. That said, this meant he didn’t have to worry about losing too many points because it wasn’t entirely a bad thing.
Next—
[Everfresh Ward]
[Information: Slows down the spoilage, rot, and degradation of all edible and perishable goods from time, temperature, and magical interference by 100% within the scope of the Inn.
Purchase Requirement: Upgraded Cellar
Cost: 300 Hearth Points]
He curiously reviewed the so-called Cellar, which he had yet to purchase (he hated to admit it, but he really didn’t read much).
[Cellar]
[Information: Underground space ideal for storing perishable items, casks, preserved goods, and the like. Can reduce the spoilage of food-related items by 100%. It may be upgraded to include fermentation and cold storage. Must be attached to a building.
Size: 2 meters x 2 meters
Cost: 70 Gold, 70 Hearth Points]
"What’s the upgrade condition for cellars?"
"I forgot."
"..."
Well, he didn’t seem to be lying. He’d just have to purchase it soon, though he didn’t have much to preserve for now, so that was the only reason he was putting it off for now, despite its high convenience.
[Soothing Aura]
[Information: Provides an extra passive mana regeneration of 10% within the walls of the inn. Gives an additional 30% effectiveness within the rooms.
Purchase Requirement: Comfy Guest Feature, Basic Living Room, Garden
Activation Requirement: 50 Ambiance Stat
Cost: 1000 Hearth Points]
Sp...it’s another great upgrade he couldn’t afford! Tsk.
[Warding Sigils]
[Information: Imbues guest quarters and key areas with protective sigils that shield occupants from minor curses, nightmares, and divination. Stronger curses might not be completely blocked, but will trigger necessary alerts to the Innkeeper.
Purchase Requirement: Tea Garden, Library
Cost: 500 Hearth Points]
Hey, at this point, he just wanted customers. Who cared whether they were cursed or not.
[Increased Absorption]
[Information: Guests would have greater efficiency in absorbing essence within Inn grounds.
Purchase Requirement: Upgraded Bedroom, Comfortable Guest Feature, Garden
Activation Requirements: 30 Points for Cleanliness, 30 Points for Ambiance, and 30 Points for Comfort
Cost: 5000 Hearth Points]
[Rested Soul Bonus]
[Information: Guests who complete a 6-hour rest in Improved Bedroom and above will receive +10% bonus regeneration for all vital stats, valid for 15 hours even beyond the scope of the Inn.
Purchase Requirement: Elite Bedroom, Comfortable Guest Feature, Garden
Activation Requirements: 60 Points for Cleanliness, 60 Points for Ambiance, and 60 Points for Comfort
Cost: 5000 Hearth Points]
He nodded. The last one was gold. Maybe he wouldn’t be so afraid of heading out (after he got a weapon, of course) if he had such a buff.
Anyway, other than the last one, all the functions were really attractive to him. Some were luxuries, but who didn’t want a bit of luxury in their lives if they could afford it? Considering the requirements, it’d definitely take a while, however.
Well, like always, he comforted himself by saying it was good to have goals.
It... was definitely nice to have more and more things to look forward to again.
