Bai Qi's words left Wa Long at a loss for how to respond.
Seeing Wa Long's predicament, Bai Qi said, "If that's all you have to say, then withdraw. Your most important task right now is to find the last Tiger Talisman."
After Wa Long left, Bai Qi was once again immersed in the ocean of knowledge. Even with some of the Sacred Master's memories as a foundation, reading the magical incantations in the Tome of Sorcery was still incredibly difficult.
If the content of the Tome of Sorcery were likened to high school knowledge, Bai Qi was currently at the junior high level.
It was undoubtedly painful for a junior high student to learn high school material without a teacher.
Yet, despite the pain, Bai Qi had to learn.
Bai Qi was counting on finding a way to completely break free from the Seal of Laopei in the Tome of Sorcery.
For the next few days, Bai Qi confined himself to his office for closed-door cultivation. Shadow Ninjas guarded the entrance, and no one was allowed to see him.
Wa Long's former office had truly become Bai Qi's private domain.
Not long after Wa Long departed, the office door opened again. Kraven entered, followed by two other individuals: a muscular bald man and a pale young girl with snow-white hair.
"Sacred Master, I've brought them."
Kraven stepped aside, introducing the two behind him, "This is the Sacred Master, your true master."
Bruce looked at Bai Qi, who sat behind the desk and was less than half his height, with confusion.
Bruce knew of Kraven's strength; the person who had destroyed his gang was like a mere chicken or dog in his hands. Yet, such a formidable individual recognized this tiny child as his master? He simply couldn't comprehend it.
Caitlin was equally perplexed. Why would her boyfriend, so strong, submit to such a scrawny child?
"Don't be rude!"
Seeing their dismissive attitude towards Bai Qi, Kraven, the foremost subordinate, was about to unleash his anger and discipline them, but Dong Ji intervened first.
Bai Qi waved his hand, signaling Kraven to step back. He walked up to Bruce and Caitlin and said, "I know what you're wondering. Why would someone as strong as Kraven submit to me, a little one? But there's an old Chinese saying: 'One cannot judge a person by their appearance, just as one cannot measure the sea with a dipper.'"
As soon as he finished speaking, a powerful dragon's might erupted from Bai Qi, filling the entire room. The tables and chairs trembled violently under the pressure, and the two were so intimidated they dared not breathe, their shoulders feeling as if they were bearing the weight of a mountain, each second an agony.
Seeing that he had made his point, Bai Qi withdrew his dragon's might.
Relieved, the two fell to their knees, gasping for air. In just a few minutes, their clothes were completely soaked with sweat.
Bai Qi was very satisfied with their reaction and spoke with feigned profundity, "How do you find me now?"
The two exchanged a look and, in unison, half-knelt on the ground and declared, "Greetings, Sacred Master."
Bai Qi nodded and said, "You two have good potential, but your combat experience is lacking."
With that, Dong Ji clapped his hands, and several Shadow Ninjas surrounded the pair.
Instantly, five Shadow Ninjas and two troll ninjas appeared before them.
Dong Ji said, "For the next while, your task is training, combat training. These Shadow Ninjas will be your opponents, and Kraven will temporarily oversee your guidance."
"On a side note, don't expect them to hold back. You might die if you don't train properly."
Bai Qi's voice was not loud, but it sent shivers down their spines.
"Alright, you two may withdraw for now."
"Yes, Master."
"Yes, Master."
After the two left, Kraven began reporting his work to Bai Qi.
Recruiting potential individuals as enforcers was just one of the many tasks Bai Qi had assigned Kraven.
"Master, I've inquired about the Oscorp you asked me to watch. Just as you said, the owner of Oscorp, Norman Osborn, disappeared under mysterious circumstances not long ago. The entire corporation is unstable, making it a prime target for us."
There's an old saying in China: don't put all your eggs in one basket.
While the Dragon Sect had some influence in America, it was only moderate. Compared to top-tier crime lords like Kingpin, they were still a step behind.
Although Bai Qi was currently recruiting, he was only just starting. More importantly, both the Dragon Sect and Kraven were notorious criminals, unsuitable for future operations.
For better development, Bai Qi needed a clean front. Thus, he had instructed Kraven to constantly monitor Oscorp's activities.
Oscorp was a well-known bio-genetics company in America with close ties to the military.
Unlike typical arms manufacturers, Oscorp had always been a high-end enterprise that combined military industry with biology.
In its early years, it had collaborated with the American military on projects similar to the super-soldier program.
At the same time, Oscorp's approach was rather peculiar, attempting to create a batch of mass-producible super-soldiers by focusing on soldier genes. The result, of course, was failure.
However, this did not deter Oscorp.
While they hadn't achieved much in direct combat applications, they had certainly contributed to the criminal underworld in America.
Vulture, Lizard, Rhino, Doctor Octopus, and others were all products of Oscorp.
Perhaps out of guilt, during one accidental discovery, they created Spider-Man.
Despite all this, Oscorp held a prominent position in America.
If Stark Industries was the leader in military technology, then Oscorp was undoubtedly the undisputed leader in bio-engineering.
However, this company began to experience internal problems two years ago.
According to intelligence gathered by Kraven, Oscorp had been supported by a high-ranking official in the government, with substantial capital flowing into the company, likely for a collaborative project.
But recently, the flow of funds into Oscorp had been dwindling. Kraven speculated that this was likely due to a breakdown in their cooperation.
Furthermore, just a few days ago, Tony Stark, upon returning from Afghanistan, publicly acknowledged his identity as Iron Man and declared that Stark Industries would cease all military-related projects.
The news caused an uproar.
Numerous companies were trying every means possible to approach high-ranking military officials, attempting to seize a piece of the pie that originally belonged to Stark Industries, with Hammer Industries being the most prominent.
Speaking of Hammer Industries, it was also within Bai Qi's considerations, but the time was not yet ripe. Once Hammer Industries entered a complete downturn, Bai Qi would absorb it.
To get back to the topic.
From this, it could be seen that Oscorp's current situation was not good.
