Chapter 3 An Unreliable World

As Bai Qi, who knew the plot, was unwilling to wait for the plot to unfold, he felt it was unreliable to hand over his fate to a plot that might happen. Moreover, the newspaper on the table alerted Bai Qi even more.

Initially, Bai Qi thought he had transmigrated into a simple world of "Jackie Chan Adventures," but the newspaper on the table shattered his illusion.

Bai Qi had a ninja bring the newspaper to him.

"Spider-Man is a public menace, a guy in pajamas who thinks he's a vigilante."

"Kudo Shinichi, the new era's Sherlock Holmes, the savior of the island's police."

"Famous entrepreneur Tony Stark disappeared yesterday at twelve o'clock at Afu Khan, suspected of being kidnapped by a terrorist organization. This is a provocation to the United States and will surely be met with a severe and just counterattack."

"Superman, the man of steel, is he a threat or humanity's protector."

This is absolutely outrageous! Spider-Man, Kudo Shinichi, Tony Stark, Superman. What kind of world has he transmigrated into? It's a complete mishmash of Marvel, Detective Conan, and DC.

Leaving aside the others, Superman, a god on Earth. If he messes around, he might be smashed to smithereens by a single punch from Superman. And DC is a world with a severely broken power system, where they restart with the sacrifice of a Flash every now and then, and they fight alien civilizations. He doesn't seem to be one of them.

As expected, lying low is the only way.

Forget it, forget these for now. Whether it's Superman or someone else, it's all for after he collects all twelve talismans. If he can't revive before the New Year's bell rings, he'll have to wait another nine hundred years.

Although in Bai Qi's current situation, even after nine hundred years he wouldn't die. In fact, after becoming a demon, Bai Qi's lifespan has become infinite. As long as this world doesn't perish, he can exist forever.

But if Bai Qi had to survive for nine hundred years as a stone statue, he would probably go mad.

One cannot just sit and wait when facing problems. As a transmigrator, Bai Qi searched his memory and recalled the locations of most of the talismans.

The current situation is that the Rooster and Ox talismans are in the Section 13 vault. The Sheep talisman can be brought back by Valmont according to the plot. The Dog and Pig talismans are in Bavaria. Bai Qi remembers the Pig talisman most clearly; it's on a clock in a chocolate factory. The Horse talisman is in Beijing, and the Monkey talisman is at the bottom of the sea in Micronesia. The Dragon talisman can also be recovered from Valmont. As for the Rabbit talisman, it's on the back of a giant turtle, but Bai Qi doesn't know where the turtle is. The remaining unknown ones are the Rat and Tiger talismans.

These two seemingly useless talismans are precisely what Bai Qi needs most right now.

The ability to turn stillness into motion would allow Bai Qi to break free from the stone statue's seal, and the balance of yin and yang would allow him to better combine the other talismans.

However, the Rat talisman is not without alternatives. As long as he recovers his dragon fang and combines it with magic, he can also escape from the stone statue.

Bai Qi summoned his Shadowkhan ninjas and divided them into three groups. One group was to retrieve his dragon fang from under the Golden Gate Bridge, the second group was to head to Bavaria to search for the Pig and Dog talismans, and the third group was to spread out from the Black Hand headquarters to search for all useful information.

The first group of Shadowkhan ninjas, after receiving Bai Qi's orders, rushed to the international airport that very night.

After figuring out the flight to Bavaria, they easily tricked security and boarded the plane.

After all, not everyone is blessed with righteousness like the protagonist group. Facing ordinary people who know no magic, the abilities of the Shadowkhan ninjas are almost insurmountable.

Once on the plane, the ninjas hid in the cargo hold and endured a seven-hour flight before arriving at Bavaria International Airport.

If they were normal people, let alone seven hours, they wouldn't even last one hour in the cargo hold before crying for their mothers.

As the plane landed, the ninjas emerged from the cargo hold, knocked out a taxi driver, and successfully borrowed a car. Guided by the talisman tracker, they arrived at a remote small town.

This town was remote, far from the city. It had a small population and a simple lifestyle. Most people moved to the town to work at the chocolate factory.

At night, after finishing their day's work, the laborers returned home. After eating the carefully cooked dishes prepared by their wives, they went to bed exhausted, embracing their wives. Those with a little more energy engaged in some interesting activities.

The ninjas arrived outside the factory and saw the security guard at the gate engrossed in a phone conversation with his girlfriend. A hint of disdain flashed in their crimson eyes.

They quickly bypassed the gate and, guided by the talisman tracker, headed straight for the clock tower. They dodged the patrolling guards and entered the clock tower. The leading ninja performed several graceful leaps to the top of the clock tower.

At the top, there was a small pig wearing a green hat, the mascot of the factory. Embedded in the pig's hat was the Pig talisman.

The ninja took out a shuriken and quickly pried the talisman from the hat, placing it in his embrace. He gestured to the ninjas below and quickly fled the scene of the crime.

After obtaining the Pig talisman, the ninjas borrowed a van from behind the factory. They successfully set it on fire and sped away.

Unlike the Pig talisman, Bai Qi only knew that the Dog talisman was in Bavaria but not its exact location, so the ninjas needed to use the tracker to search bit by bit.

Furthermore, it took time for the ninjas to travel through the Shadow Realm. It's just that since all the ninjas looked almost identical, it appeared as if the ninja who was originally there suddenly reappeared there after entering the Shadow Realm, but in reality, the ninjas were not the same.

Moreover, Bavaria is almost halfway around the world from the United States, so Bai Qi didn't expect the ninjas to return quickly.

The next day, Valmont rushed in and reported to Bai Qi, "Holy Master, my subordinates have discovered the location of the next talisman, and it should be presented to you soon."

"Then we'll talk after you get the talisman. Valmont, it's not the first time you've done this."

Bai Qi understood Valmont's little scheme very well; he just wanted money.

Although Bai Qi didn't care much about those stones, he wouldn't be tricked into thinking he was a stingy old landlord.

Valmont said he found the talisman, fine, bring it back, otherwise, he wouldn't get a single gold coin from him.

Just as Valmont was haggling with the Holy Master, a helicopter landed on the roof of the Black Hand headquarters. LaSu, AhFen, and Zhou walked down the helicopter with pride, holding the Sheep talisman they had worked hard to find, looking extremely elated.

After all, this was one of the few times they had successfully completed a mission.
