Chapter 38: Intimate Company
Dante looked through his stats with a calm gaze while trying to decide on how he should distribute his points, and he decided that the best stats to improve would be his stamina and durability. Dante needed more stamina to fight for longer, and his durability would help to reduce the damage if anyone ever managed to hurt him, so those were the best choices! After that, Dante would use the remaining points to improve the other stats!
Dante made all the necessary decisions, and a tab suddenly opened in front of him!

Dante felt a tremor go through his entire body as every stat suddenly went through a massive upgrade! Dante could feel intense energy flowing through him, and he immediately knew that this was due to the upgrade! Holy shit! This was amazing! Dante felt like he had just been shot full of adrenaline, and he couldn’t help but let out a low chuckle! For a moment, Dante had been wondering if all of this was a dream or not, but right now, Dante finally accepted that it was real! He could really improve his strength by using this system! Dante clenched his fist tightly before he turned back to the system and looked at his stats again!

Dante released a calming sigh once he saw that the changes had been implemented, and he finally turned towards his Skills. Dante had a lot of skills, and he knew that they were all important, but there were some that were just far more important than others. The first skills that Dante decided to improve were the [Firearms] and [Menace] skills. The Firearm skill needed to be better since it would help in any fight, but the Menace skill was also just as important! Dante still remembered how easily he managed to scare the man they were interrogating back in the barn! The man had even pissed himself! If Dante could produce an aura that was even more imposing than that, then it would make a lot of fights easier! Any enemy would become sloppy when they were too terrified to even face him! Dante couldn’t overlook such a useful skill! Once Dante was done improving those skills, he would use the rest of the points on [Physical Analysis] and [Financial Expertise]. Dante would normally ignore the [Financial Expertise] skill, but Dante realized that he needed to know more than enough about business if he wanted to stand any chance of handling Lucas Corp properly!

Dante hummed calmly when he saw the message from the system, before a small smile appeared on his face! Dante had no idea the system would give him a bonus like that, so Dante couldn’t help but feel really happy about it! Dante immediately opened the box to see what was inside, and the system brought up a tab.

’Well, isn’t that interesting?’
Dante narrowed his eyes once he read through that information. Dante had no idea that the Bellagrin were looking for investors. He thought that the Bellagrini company was running in massive profits due to how they were combining their legal business with their illegal dealings. But it was obvious that things weren’t going well for them! Was that why they were trying so hard to take over the Lucas Family territory? Were they getting desperate? Dante asked these questions to the system, but the system sent back a message.
[The system is not aware of any information outside of what it provided in the Information Boxes. The user will have to find out about that information for himself.]
Dante sighed as he read this, and he decided that he would look into the situation. The system had already given him an upper hand against the Bellagrini by exposing two pieces of vital information about them, so Dante wouldn’t ask it for even more than that! Dante would take what he had and make the best of it.
Dante finally fell back in his bed and stared up at the ceiling tiredly. Now that he finally had time to rest, he could feel the weight of the world slowly pressing down on his shoulders. Dante knew that there would be a lot of issues for him to deal with in the future. The external problems were obvious already, but the ones that Dante didn’t know how to deal with yet were the internal problems he would face against his half-siblings. Dante didn’t know what they would do, but Dante had a feeling that something big was going to happen sooner or later.
Ka-Cha!
The sound of a door opening drew Dante’s attention, and Dante sat up when he saw Risa entering the room. The room was cast in darkness, and the only thing illuminating Risa’s figure was the pale moonlight coming from outside the large glass wall. Risa was wearing her maid’s outfit, and she walked up to Dante with her hands held in front of her respectfully. Dante spoke up once she was close enough.
"What is it, Risa? Is there a problem?"
Risa bit her bottom lip as she tried to organise her thoughts, and there was a silent war being waged inside her head as she thought about speaking or not, but eventually, she spoke up.
"I... I was just worried about you, master. It’s been a long day for you, so I wanted to check and see if you wanted some company. Maybe someone to talk to..."
Risa finally looked into Dante’s eyes, and Dante could see the worry shining through. Risa had always been the one looking out for Dante, so Dante wasn’t surprised by her action. In fact, he expected it from her. Dante hid it very well, but the events of today had exhausted him mentally. Nobody else would be able to tell that Dante was tired at all, but Risa knew Dante so well that Dante didn’t think he could hide anything from her, even if he wanted to!
Dante let out a calm sigh as he finally spoke.
"Yeah, I think I need the company. But I’m not interested in talking. Come here."
Dante put his hand out to Risa, and Risa’s face brightened up as she took his hand. Dante pulled Risa closer and dragged her down so she was straddling his lap and he immediately pulled her in for a heated kiss!
"Mmh~!"
Risa felt electricity travel through her veins when she felt Dante’s lips press against her own. Risa pressed herself down on Dante’s lap, and she shuddered in pleasure when Dante’s hand suddenly traveled up her thighs! Risa put her hand against Dante’s naked chest, and she felt a heat pooling in her core as the kiss deepened even more! Dante bit Risa’s lip, and when Risa gasped, he used that opportunity to push his tongue into her mouth!
