Poison Douluo gave Lin Fan and Davis a sidelong glance and shook his head with a sigh.
“You two should leave. This is not a battlefield you can handle. Don’t overestimate yourselves.”
Lin Fan smiled calmly.
“No need to worry, senior. We know what we’re doing.”
“I thought they’d send Tang Xiao. Looks like the Star Luo Empire doesn’t have that much pull.”
The man grinned.
“The Clear Sky Sect has long since gone into seclusion. Naturally, the sect master cannot appear publicly. But me? I’m more than enough.”
Just one simple line, but it radiated unshakable confidence—the aura of someone from the number one sect on the continent.
As expected of the Clear Sky Sect—domineering, unrelenting, fearless in the face of any challenge.
Be it Tang Chen, Tang Xiao, or Tang Hao, they all embodied the same essence: a ferocious, head-on battle style wielding the Clear Sky Hammer with unmatched aggression.
Only Tang San had always felt out of place to Lin Fan.
The mighty Clear Sky Hammer, so famed for its brute force, became soft and clever in Tang San’s hands—relying on tactics and tricks more than sheer might.
Poison Douluo nodded and turned toward the Titan Giant Ape. His expression grew heavier.
“Elder Three, shall we?”
Buzz—!
Behind the elder, nine radiant soul rings rose into the air, releasing an overwhelming pressure that swept through the forest.
Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black, Black, Black, Black, Black.
The simple black hammer in his hand expanded rapidly, transforming into a towering Clear Sky Hammer, radiating killing intent and immense power.
“I’ll go first!”
With that shout, the elder gripped the hammer in one hand, leapt high into the air, and brought it crashing down toward the Titan Giant Ape!
BOOM!!!
The impact echoed like thunder. The strike targeted the ape’s head with terrifying force.
Lin Fan narrowed his eyes in awe.
“Even I would need at least 60% of my strength to withstand that attack…”
As expected from the soul master world’s strongest power-type martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer. Among soul masters of the same level, it had almost no equal.
Clang!
The Titan Giant Ape snarled, raising its fist to meet the hammer directly.
Despite it being flesh and bone against metal, the collision rang out like clashing steel, shaking the entire forest.
Davis turned ghostly pale, clearly overwhelmed by the shockwave.
Lin Fan quickly pressed a palm to Davis’s back, sending a wave of energy into him to stabilize his condition.
Poison Douluo’s expression darkened.
“Even I would struggle to block that attack.
This beast... just blocked it with a casual punch?!”
The elder’s expression also shifted. Using the recoil, he pulled back and leapt to gain distance.
But the Titan Giant Ape wasn’t letting up.
Its eyes gleamed with killing intent as it followed up with another fierce punch!
“Hmph!”
The elder grunted, switching to a two-handed grip on the Clear Sky Hammer. He blocked the strike head-on—but the force behind it still sent him skidding backward.
Poison Douluo saw his chance. A glint of green light flashed in his hand as he launched a venomous attack straight at the ape’s head.
The Titan Giant Ape instinctively grabbed the green energy—but the moment it did:
SIZZLE—!!
A foul smoke burst from its palm, followed by an agonizing burn.
“ROAAARRR!!”
The ape roared in pain, opening its palm to reveal a scorched, blackened mess.
The green toxin continued corroding its flesh, rapidly burning through its thick skin.
Poison Douluo’s face grew grave.
That wasn’t just any poison—it was one of his most lethal concoctions, capable of melting even a Soul Douluo to the bone.
And this creature… had withstood it.
The elder steadied himself, then activated his seventh soul ring.
“Martial Soul True Body—Clear Sky Manifestation!”
A massive phantom of the Clear Sky Hammer materialized behind him. A towering figure grasped the hammer, locking its gaze onto the Titan Giant Ape with predatory focus.
“DIE!!”
The elder’s shout cracked like thunder!
The giant Clear Sky Hammer stirred up a violent wind and smashed downward once more!
At the same time, Poison Douluo released all nine of his soul rings. A thick ink-green beam of poisonous energy surged from his hand and fired at the Titan Giant Ape like a cannon blast.
“ROAR!! ROOOAARRR!!”
The Titan Giant Ape howled with fury. Molten brown light flowed across its body, forming a layer of lava-like armor that coated its massive frame.
Its eyes burned with savagery. Both arms slammed down like twin pillars, striking toward the two attackers simultaneously!
Meanwhile, in the Sunset Forest…
The space rippled violently.
A small squad suddenly emerged from another world.
The Sunset Empire’s squad leader stabilized himself and immediately barked,
“Quick! Return at once and report this—!”
“Captain… look!”
But the soldiers didn’t move. Instead, they pointed forward in terror.
The captain looked up—and his entire body shuddered.
Above, below, all around—
An endless sea of unknown soul beasts blanketed the forest, their numbers vast beyond comprehension.
Eyes glowing red like demonic lanterns in the night stared them down.
The entire forest reeked of slaughter, cold blood, and death.
Gulp…
The captain swallowed hard—but it was already too late.
The Zerg swarm surged forth like a black tidal wave, devouring the entire squad in seconds.
