Chapter 955 Who Dares to Hurt My Child

Chapter 15 Rescue

After holding the coffin and rushing forward for more than ten meters, I finally collided with the third coffin.

I felt a tremendous force coming from behind the coffin. The force of the two coffins colliding caused the twin blades in my hands to vibrate violently, and the sound of the coffin cracking followed.

I immediately released the hilts of the blades and embraced the coffin with both arms. My whole body pressed against the coffin lid, my hands like hooks digging into the sides of the coffin, using my body to push the coffin forward.

The broken blade that had only slightly pierced my ribs now plunged completely into my chest under the impact of the coffin. Although it didn't directly break my ribs, it wasn't far off.

The force of the impact from the coffin sent me staggering backwards a couple of steps before I managed to steady myself. The bluestone steps, usually resistant to blades and swords, shattered into pieces under my feet.

Once I regained my balance, the blood flowing from my wound streamed down the coffin lid, dripping onto the stone steps.

"Let go!"

"Get back!"

It was Ye Yang telling me to let go, and I yelled back at him, telling him not to move rashly, "Don't come over here! This setup is for you. If no one restrains those eight coffins, you're dead for sure. Get back!"

While I was still trying to stop Ye Yang, I heard the sound of a coffin hitting the ground.

The fourth coffin was coming!

The moment that thought flashed through my mind, the tremendous force of the coffin colliding struck again from afar.

The sudden force almost sent me flying. I dug my feet in again, using my shoulder to brace the coffin, managing to withstand the force of the second collision.

My toes scraped shallow grooves nearly a meter long in the ground, and the stones kicked up by my feet were still rolling. The wound on my chest had completely burst open, and blood dripped uncontrollably onto the ground.

A voice almost identical to Ye Yang's came from inside the coffin, "You can't hold back these coffins. With the same force, two more impacts will drive that blade in your chest straight through you."

"You'll still end up as white bones on these steps, and Ye Qianyang will still lie in the next coffin."

"Get lost!" I roared, my entire body surging with true qi, doing everything I could to hold the coffin lid in place.

Suddenly, the rumbling sound of coffins grinding over the stone steps came from above.

Feng Ruoxing exclaimed, "Three coffins! Li Po, let go quickly, you can't hold them! There are three coffins coming down from above!"

At that moment, I could clearly hear Feng Ruoxing's voice, but I couldn't respond in any way. I had already pushed my true qi to its peak, and opening my mouth would be the same as releasing some of my inner energy. Then, I'd be even less able to withstand the coffins crashing down from above.

Hopefully, Feng Ruoxing and Ye Yang would remember my words!

Whatever you do, don't come up here to save me!

The next second, I heard the sound of bodies cutting through the air beside me.

They had come after all!

I should have turned around and cursed them, but instead, I laughed. Blood trickled down the corner of my mouth.

So be it!

At least, we would die together.

The moment I let go of my worries, I heard a cold shout from behind, "Who dares to hurt my child?"

Who?

Before I could figure out who was shouting so fiercely, I was thrown off the stone steps.

Feng Ruoxing and Ye Yang were thrown out along with me.

My feet hit the ground, and Feng Ruoxing helped me to stand. When I looked up, I saw someone I never expected – the ghost deity, Ye Mei!

How did she get here?

I remembered what Cang Tianji had said: Ye Yang's only chance of survival lay in Erlin Town.

But I had never understood what that chance was.

Although I had brought the Demon Suppression Tablet, the Shaman's Blade, and the Nine-Headed Serpent Jade out of Erlin Town, I had ultimately rejected them all.

There was only one Demon Suppression Tablet, but there were nine temples. Even if the Demon Suppression Tablet could suppress one of them, what could I do about the remaining eight?

That Shaman's Blade was just a common magical artifact. Its power couldn't compare to my Black and White Blades. If the Black and White Blades couldn't hold, what good would the Shaman's Blade be?

The Nine-Headed Serpent Jade could only make people feel favorably towards me, but that required a long process. Would the Snow Mountain Demon God give me a chance to build a relationship with him?

I thought Cang Tianji had miscalculated!

I never expected that Ye Mei would be that chance of survival!

But what did she mean by shouting, "Who dares to hurt my child?" Could it be that the remnants of the Greedy Wolf soul that had exploded hadn't shattered, but had instead attached itself to someone's weapon among us?

That explanation...

Before I could speak, the coffins crashing down from the top of the stone steps collided one after another.

The stone steps thundered, but Ye Mei pushed against the coffins with one hand, her feet unmoving. "Go on up! Leave this to me!"

"Go!" I reached down, pulled the broken blade from my body, and threw it on the ground before charging back up the stone steps.

As Ye Yang and I passed Ye Mei, we saw her nod and smile at us.

Was she telling us to rest assured?

Or was she saying goodbye?

At that moment, I had no time to think about anything else. I led Ye Yang and Feng Ruoxing up the steps.

After rushing forward for several hundred meters, we saw a coffin blocking the end of the steps!

Was that a coffin, or the gate to another world?
