Chapter 7 I Want to Kill You

Chapter 1 The Biggest Mystery

Qu Mo spoke as he turned back, grabbed my hand, and dragged me towards the door of my house.

We had just entered the village when we ran into the village chief. He sized Qu Mo up and down and said, "Li Po, you have a guest? Who is this?"

I opened my mouth, but in the end, I only said, "He's a classmate of my dad. I picked him up in the county today."

"Oh, oh..." The village chief didn't suspect anything else, responded twice, and left.

I want to live! But I can't put my neighbors at risk just to save my own life.

If I really called for help, even if the villagers didn't have a good relationship with my family, they wouldn't just watch me get taken away.

But who among these villagers could withstand Qu Mo's claw?

I couldn't bring myself to run away while Qu Mo was killing people.

Qu Mo dragged me to the door of my house, and with just a light tap on the door, I heard the sound of the latch breaking. The iron door slowly opened.

When I saw my house again, I almost cried.

My dad definitely wasn't home. Before, he would come out to greet me as soon as he heard the door open, but now the latch was broken and he hadn't come out. Where did he go!

Qu Mo said faintly, "Go find your dad!"

I didn't bother to look at Qu Mo. I took off running into the house, searching inside and out. Then I ran to the pool behind the courtyard.

The pool was now empty, leaving only a large, cold pit. I slid down the side of the pit and saw the wrought iron gate attached to the stone wall.

Behind the gate was just a stone cave of about ten square meters, but the cave was empty. Apart from a pendant that my dad usually wore around his neck, there wasn't a trace of anything else.

I turned around in the cave a few times, and tears finally fell.

My dad had always treasured that pendant and wouldn't even let me touch it. Now the pendant was in the cave, but he was nowhere to be found. Something must have happened to my dad.

Just as I was at a loss, Qu Mo shouted from above the pit, "Are you planning to live in the pit? Aren't you coming up?"

I wiped away my tears and climbed out of the pit, using both my hands and feet. Qu Mo slowly said, "I am your enemy, but you don't have the ability to kill me."

"I'll give you two paths now. One is to follow me, learn my skills, and then turn around and kill me in the future."

"The second path is, I'll kill you now and let you reunite with Li Chunfeng. Which one do you choose?"

I gritted my teeth and said, "I want to kill you!"

"Very good!" Qu Mo said with his hands behind his back, "If you want revenge, you must first survive. The thing looking for you hasn't left, and it will come looking for you again within three days. Stay at home for three days, and if you're not dead after three days, then think about how to get revenge?"

Qu Mo took two steps forward, "Li Chunfeng left a lot of things in your house to save you."

"The closest person will leave you the greatest chance of survival, and also leave you the greatest mystery. Whether you can survive depends on whether you are smart enough. In our world, fools have no right to live."

After Qu Mo finished speaking, he left.

My first reaction was to run.

But before I could even take a step, I stopped.

Qu Mo wouldn't allow me to leave this courtyard. He must be waiting for me somewhere. Besides, even if I ran to a strange place, could I escape the ghost that was looking for me?

But I really didn't know how many secrets my dad was hiding in the house.

Some people might think it's ridiculous that I don't know my dad's secrets, but if you think about it carefully, it's not ridiculous at all.

Parents care about every detail of their children's lives. Even the most careless parents will notice changes in their children, but children rarely pay attention to the details of their parents' lives.

Before my dad disappeared, that's how I was.

Qu Mo said that the closest person would leave me the greatest mystery, which meant I had to solve the secrets my dad hid in the house.

Where exactly are my dad's secrets?

I began to desperately recall the details of my dad's life, and the obvious and not-so-obvious questions of the past floated into my mind one by one.

The first thing I thought of was the feng shui master. He said that my house was a "Qiankun Zhao Yue" (天地照月) feng shui layout.

Isn't that backwards? The moon shines in the sky and illuminates the world, how can the heaven and earth illuminate the moon without light?

It should be "Yue Zhao Qiankun" (月照乾坤) instead.

My dad usually did things meticulously. If it was a feng shui layout arranged by my dad, he couldn't have reversed the order.

Unless he set up a reversed layout from the beginning.

At that time, I hadn't been exposed to feng shui, and I didn't know what feng shui meant.

The only thing I could do was to search for information online. As soon as I turned on my dad's computer, I saw a document on the desktop titled "Po'er Qin Qi" (魄儿亲启 – To Po'er Personally).

Po'er:

When you see this letter, I guess something has already happened to me.

There are some things that I didn't want to tell you, but if I don't tell you, no one else will. I am the only one in this world who knows your secret.

You have always wondered why I named you "Li Po." You should have also heard people say that you can't use "ghost" or words related to ghosts when naming a child. Those words have too much yin energy, and only people with special fates can bear the word "ghost."

I can tell you, you are a person with a special fate. Your fate is a "fierce fate" (凶命) that is rare to see in a thousand years.
