Chapter 124 Luring the Enemy to Attack

Chapter 1 The Moment I Faced the Prisoner Cart

The prisoner cart plunged down from the top of the stairs the instant I faced it.

The wooden wheels crushed against the steps with the sound of grinding gravel, causing the cement and red brick staircase to crack and shatter under the wheels, sending debris flying and clattering against the stair railings.

The imposing momentum of the advancing prisoner cart felt like a top expert slowly walking towards someone, each step carrying the power of slaughter, the pressure intensifying with each step, enough to strike fear into one's heart.

"Retreat!" I told Ye Yang to fall back while I ran towards the prisoner cart, my feet pounding against the steps.

The moment my soles touched the stairs, the prisoner cart suddenly accelerated, charging towards me at an alarming speed.

The prisoner cart covered several meters in the blink of an eye, the front wheels just one step away from my feet, when I suddenly exerted force with my toes, propelling my body into a backward somersault.

As the force of my toes and the pressure of the wheels simultaneously concentrated on one step, the cement step exploded like it had been struck by a hammer, sending gravel flying into the air. I also performed two consecutive flips amidst the flying debris, landing on the ground.

Before my feet could even find purchase, I retreated rapidly again, but the prisoner cart slightly adjusted its direction, aiming the shaft directly at my lower abdomen as it charged towards me.

After retreating five steps, my back slammed against the wall, and the prisoner cart crashed down at that instant.

In the nick of time, I exerted force backwards with both hands, my fingers like hooks digging into the wall. I moved continuously with my hands inverted, my heels also pushing against the wall as I quickly moved upwards.

With both hands and feet working in tandem, I instantly scaled the wall upside down for a meter, as the shaft of the prisoner cart crashed into the wall beneath my feet.

Before the violent tremors from the shaft piercing the brick wall could subside, I had already opened my ghost eyes in mid-air, staring down at the prisoner cart with bloodshot eyes.

As expected, behind the prisoner cart was a ghost dressed in an old-fashioned Zhongshan suit, clenching his teeth and pulling on the cart, seemingly wanting to pull the cart out of the wall and crash into me again.

"Heavenly Lock, Imprison Soul!" I immediately released my grip and landed on the roof of the cart, simultaneously brandishing my Twin Soul Chasing Ropes, crisscrossing them to bind the ghost: "Ye Yang, find a room and protect me while I perform the ritual!"

As I dragged the ghost backwards, more than a dozen ghosts dressed similarly to that person rushed down from upstairs: "Release Lao Lin."

"Go!" I deliberately flicked the Soul Chasing Rope, knocking the person to the ground, and dragged him as I sprinted through the corridor.

Ye Yang, holding his sword horizontally, blocked my retreat: "Should I take care of the people behind us?"

"Let them come up!" While telepathically communicating with Ye Yang, I slapped open a door and barged straight into a room.

The moment I entered, Ye Yang suddenly erupted with power, grabbing the two ghosts charging in the lead, dodging into the room, and using his sword as a door bolt, blocking the doorway horizontally.

Horizontal Sword, Guarding the Gate!

Ye Yang blocked the door with just a long sword, then pulled out two coffin nails and pinned the ghosts he had captured to the wall before saying, "Hurry up, I can't hold them off for long!"

I lifted the person up with the Soul Chasing Rope: "My time is limited, so I don't want to waste words with you. Do you understand?"

The person's appearance bore some resemblance to Lin Si Han, and he was the first to come looking for me, so I was eighty percent sure that he was an ancestor of Lin Si Han.

Moreover, this person clearly didn't know how to fight, and only knew how to push the prisoner cart to crash into people if he wanted to kill me. This behavior was extremely consistent with his refined appearance.

Based on these two points, I could determine that I had caught the right person.

Hearing my words, that person simply snorted coldly and closed his eyes, refusing to say another word to me.

"You have guts!" I took out a spirit talisman and slapped it onto the other party, and as the talisman exploded, three fiery snakes coiled around the other party like chains and burned wildly.

In just a few seconds, the screams of the ghost drowned out the sizzling sounds of the burning soul. The other party shouted hoarsely, "It's useless for you to torture me, we are immortal and indestructible here... What you do to me, I will repay a hundredfold, a thousandfold sooner or later."

I sneered and said, "Some things, I don't necessarily have to ask you. I can also ask your friends."

I walked slowly towards the ghosts that Ye Yang had nailed to the wall: "Burning him is just to show you an example. If you don't want to end up like him, then speak up quickly."

As soon as the two ghosts hesitated, I slapped spirit talismans onto them, and the screams of the three ghosts rose and fell in the room, also hoarse.

I walked back and forth between the three ghosts with my hands behind my back: "You may be immortal and indestructible, but I can also let the Hell Soul-Eating Fire stick to you forever like maggots on a bone."

"You've heard of the Eighteen Levels of Hell, right? The ghosts in hell are immortal and indestructible. Even if they are beaten into pieces under the tortures of hell, their souls will reunite and accept the next punishment."

"The tortures in hell are calculated by the year. If you don't want to endure the pain of being burned by the raging fire for years, you'd better cooperate with me."

My voice was cold as I said: "Actually, it seems like you two don't have any irreconcilable hatred towards me, right? Is it worth being burned like this for the sake of a little face?"
