Chapter 1350 - 1349: Ling Fei Comes Over

Chapter 1350: Chapter 1349: Ling Fei Comes Over

Ye Qiu stayed to sign the contract with Liu Daqing, and after buying those two shops, the remaining tasks of paying taxes, transferring ownership, and getting certificates would certainly be handled by the real estate agency.

As it was close to lunchtime, Ye Qiu prepared to head back with Liu Lingxiu and Liu Daqing.

When Ye Qiu got back to Daqing Supermarket, he said, "Uncle Liu, just have the decoration done in the same style as this supermarket, and we’ll hang the Daqing Supermarket sign once it’s ready."

"Ye Qiu, I understand."

When Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu went out to buy groceries to make lunch, Liu Lingxiu naturally didn’t expect that Ye Qiu had bought another two shops for supermarkets.

Of course, the money was still a loan Ye Qiu gave to Liu Daqing and his wife; if it made a loss, it was on him, but if they earned money, it was for those two. No matter what happens in the future, it’s all for Liu Lingxiu, and Ye Qiu certainly wouldn’t mind about it.

As they headed to the nearby grocery market, while Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu were buying groceries, they saw Butcher He’s family. However, the two quickly bought their stuff and left.

Liu Lingxiu didn’t dare to get too close to Butcher He’s family, who loved gossiping, afraid that it might cause trouble for her.

Back at the kitchen upstairs in Liu Lingxiu’s residential complex, while Liu Lingxiu was making lunch, Ye Qiu sat in the small living room watching TV.

Ye Qiu’s phone rang; it was a call from Ling Fei.

"Ye Qiu, are you on vacation?"

"Yes, are you still at school?"

"I’m off too, but I don’t know where to go?"

Ling Fei’s parents had divorced and were living separately. Although they hadn’t gone to court, both wanted Ling Fei to live with them.

Under such circumstances, Ling Fei didn’t know where to spend the Lunar New Year.

She originally wanted to go to her grandparents’, but she wasn’t close to them and felt no connection. In this case, Ling Fei thought staying at the university for the New Year might be fine. Of course, some other students also didn’t want to go home and could apply to stay on campus from the school and dorm managers.

Ling Fei planned to do tutoring during this time to earn some living expenses, not wanting to rely on her parents’ money.

"How are your parents doing now?"

"They’re living separately, not in the same place, just to avoid arguing when they see each other."

Ling Fei said.

"Do you want them to get better?"

"Of course I do. But if they truly can’t, I suggest my parents each start their own new family, though I wouldn’t bother them with it."

Although Ling Fei’s parents were over forty, they were still just entering middle age and in a phase of starting a new Chapter in life. Overall, she thought it would be better to have some support.

Of course, her greatest hope was for her parents to reconcile, but after fighting and arguing for over a decade, it seemed very difficult for them to make up.

"Perhaps I can help you."

Ye Qiu thought if Ling Fei’s parents didn’t truly wish to separate, he might have a way to reconcile them. But if deep down they both hated and were disgusted with each other, even if they reconciled superficially, it wouldn’t truly fix things, and it might be better to separate and move on.

"Really?"

Ling Fei could hardly believe it.

"You can come stay at my villa for a few days. My parents and sister are very nice."

"I suppose it’s not appropriate!"

Ling Fei felt a bit embarrassed.

Although she was close to Ye Qiu, suddenly staying at his home still made her feel a bit uneasy.

"Then forget it."

Ye Qiu said directly.

He never forced others to do anything; what worked, worked, and what didn’t, didn’t. He was decisive and never made things hard for anyone.

"I’ll call you again this afternoon."

After hanging up with Ling Fei, Liu Lingxiu was still in the kitchen making lunch. Once it was almost done, she came out and asked, "Do you have anything going on?"

"Ling Fei called; she said she didn’t know where to go for the New Year."

Liu Lingxiu knew Ling Fei and knew that Ye Qiu had saved her twice.

After calling Zhang Yuehong back for lunch, and finishing the meal, Ye Qiu went back to the Peach Blossom Spring Villa with Liu Lingxiu.

Back there, Ye Weidong and his wife and Ye Xue were definitely not at home.

While Liu Lingxiu was downstairs in the lobby watching TV, Ye Qiu went upstairs to play on the computer.

Around five in the afternoon, Ling Fei called again and said, "Can you come to pick me up? I want to talk about my parents."

"Wait for me outside the Normal University entrance; I’ll head over now."

Ye Qiu came downstairs and saw Liu Lingxiu asleep on the first floor sofa in front of the TV.

Ye Qiu went over, kissed her on the cheek, and she opened her eyes and asked, "Did I fall asleep?"

"Yes, you did. I’m going to pick up Ling Fei. Want to come along?"

"I’ll wait for you here."

Ye Qiu left the villa, got into the Range Rover, and drove towards the Normal University.

When he arrived not far from the entrance of Normal University, Ye Qiu parked the car and soon saw Ling Fei coming out with a backpack. She was only visiting Ye Qiu’s place for a few days, so she brought only a few changes of clothes.

When she got into the passenger seat, Ling Fei said, "A few days ago, Tiantian finished her exams. Do you know how she did?"

"Failed, I suppose."

"Except for scoring over seventy in Chinese, she failed all other subjects. But she’s realized her situation and has enrolled in a winter class her mom signed her up for."

"As long as she’s aware, that’s good."

Ye Qiu knew Xia Tiantian was a bright girl. Once she devoted her energy and focus to studying, she would likely become an excellent student quickly.

Of course, it wasn’t a big deal, but the main point was her no longer being spoiled and learning how to behave appropriately, which was a great improvement.

"She also told me that if she passed all her exams next semester, she’d want you to take her to the East Sea."

"The East Sea is nothing. If she improves her studies, I’d take her to France."

Seeing Ye Qiu wasn’t joking, Ling Fei felt that Ye Qiu was indeed fond of Xia Tiantian. She had already known that Xia Tiantian had almost gotten into trouble before and that Ye Qiu was acquainted with Xia Lan, although she hadn’t known until recently.

Ye Qiu drove towards Peach Blossom Spring Villa.

As they neared the villa, Ye Qiu said, "Liu Lingxiu is here too; you two can have a good chat later."

Liu Lingxiu had a great personality and was very accommodating, unlike Li Qianqian, and Ling Fei knew Liu Lingxiu was Ye Qiu’s girlfriend.

But for some reason, hearing that Liu Lingxiu was there made Ling Fei feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable.
