Chapter 233 A Criminal Overnight
Xiao Yucheng had no idea what he had done wrong when four strong men grabbed him and dragged him away.
The off-road vehicle drove for about forty minutes through the city before arriving at a large compound in the suburbs of Longkou District. This compound covered an area of about ten thousand square meters, with four or five buildings and several rows of warehouses.
This was the office location specially approved for the Material Control Department by the city. When Xiao Yucheng was brought here, he found that the compound was full of people, white people, Chinese people, a large number of captured laborers, and some people who looked like hooligans, assisting the judicial staff. The scene was very strange.
The off-road vehicle stopped, and the leading strong man said to Xiao Yucheng, "Come on, get out of the car!"
"Brother, what did I do wrong?!" Xiao Yucheng asked urgently, limping.
"Can't you understand when I tell you to shut up? You'll know what's wrong with you in a moment!" the other party replied impatiently, grabbing Xiao Yucheng's handcuffed hands and taking him directly into the four-story building on the left.
Entering the hall, Xiao Yucheng turned his head and looked around, seeing many laborers squatting on both sides of the wall with handcuffs, being cursed and questioned.
Arriving on the second floor, the strong man pushed Xiao Yucheng into an empty room and said, "Wait here honestly, someone will ask you questions later. And don't think about running, there's a riot police squad outside. If they catch you, they can shoot you directly."
After speaking, the strong man locked the door and left, not giving Xiao Yucheng a chance to ask questions.
Inside the room, Xiao Yucheng sat on the chair with handcuffs, his brain racing. He recalled his experiences in Sinaloa and concluded that the other party had caught him probably because he had worked for the Chi Army. But he only cooked there and did not directly participate in any battles, nor was he a core member, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
So, Xiao Yucheng sat in the room and waited. From morning until after one o'clock in the afternoon, he finally saw the law enforcement officers who came to interrogate him.
Inside the room, the lights were on. Two men transferred from the police department, one responsible for recording and the other for interrogation, with a law enforcement recorder filming the entire process.
"Name!"
"Xiao Yucheng."
"Residence!"
"I don't have a residence. I was one of the first laborers sent to Sinaloa. I've applied for citizenship, but it hasn't been approved yet," Xiao Yucheng replied.
The other party nodded expressionlessly and asked a few routine questions before getting to the point: "Have you ever served in the military in Sinaloa?"
Hearing this, Xiao Yucheng did not hide his resume, because if the other party could find him, it meant that they had some understanding of him, or that other laborers had been arrested and had snitched on him, so lying would be meaningless: "I have never served in the military, but I worked for the Chi Army, cooking for them."
"Entering the military camp doesn't count as joining the army?" the other party asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I and they were in an employment relationship," Xiao Yucheng explained, "It was just a simple job to earn money."
"Don't explain, I'll ask you something, you just say something." After reminding him, the other party turned to the recorder and said, "Highlight this."
"Yes." The recorder nodded, noting Xiao Yucheng's relationship with the Chi Army in the interrogation record, and made a key note.
The chief interrogator looked at Xiao Yucheng and continued to ask: "When you were in Sinaloa, did you ever sell military supplies to the Mexican government forces? In addition to giving you monetary benefits, did they also ask you to inquire about the Dragon City and some situations in District One?"
Xiao Yucheng frowned and replied, "I'm just a laborer who works and eats, these questions you're asking have nothing to do with me…!"
After the two sides communicated in the room for about an hour and a half, the chief interrogator took the documents and stood up, saying, "Your problem is very serious. Now you are under personal control. Someone will take you out later."
Xiao Yucheng was dumbfounded: "Why are you controlling me? What crime have I committed?!"
The chief interrogator looked at him and replied: "The Chi Army is a bandit army that kills, loots, and commits all kinds of evil. You worked with them, doesn't that count as a crime?!"
"…I was just cooking!" Xiao Yucheng replied excitedly, "I couldn't earn money there, I couldn't starve to death, right? I had to find a job?!"
The chief interrogator glanced at him indifferently and turned to leave.
"Are you even reasonable? I didn't commit a crime, you have to let me out?! My child is still at home…!" Xiao Yucheng never expected that he might face the danger of being detained, so he chased after him and shouted.
"Bang!"
The chief interrogator had just walked out of the door when a strong man kicked Xiao Yucheng back into the room, and the latter, with his inconvenient legs and feet, lost his balance and fell directly to the ground.
Three strong men came in and directly held down Xiao Yucheng's head: "You dare to rush out, don't you want to live?!"
The door was closed, and the chief interrogator said to a social idler who had no organization or law enforcement power, "His problem is quite serious, he worked with the Chi Army, you follow up on it."
"Okay!" The idler nodded.
After the chief interrogator left with the documents, the man also pushed the door and entered the room.
Not long after, Xiao Yucheng's miserable screams echoed in the room.
For the entire afternoon, Xiao Yucheng was beaten and abused. The other party forced him to confess his relationship with the Chi Army and the fact that he sold military supplies.
Xiao Yucheng initially defended himself, and his words still contained some rebuttal, but in the end, he was completely defeated. All ten fingers were rubbed and skinned by the other party's shoe soles, and blood flowed freely.
By the evening, Xiao Yucheng was not given any food. He was locked in a row of large warehouses, handcuffed together with dozens of captured laborers.
Xiao Yucheng could endure the physical pain, but he could not control the psychological anxiety.
His son was seriously ill. He had been gone for a day, and if he didn't go back at night, something might happen to the child.
Xiao Yucheng squatted next to the dirty iron pipe, gritted his teeth, and shouted to the guards, "Officer, officer, I beg you, let me see that interrogating officer again… My son is sick, I have to go home at night. Or, let me make a phone call, I'll ask a friend to go home and check it out."
The other party was eating supper, frowned, looked back at him and scolded, "Shut up!"
"Officer, I beg you…!"
"Bang!"
The other party kicked Xiao Yucheng in the face, frowned and scolded: "Beg for your mother! Do you think I am a law enforcement officer? Is it useful to beg me? Just wait!"
…
Inside the Yu family villa.
Su Tianyu sat on the sofa and said to Yu Mingyuan, "You Yifan wants us to accompany the garrison to the Old Triangle, who do you think should go?"
"Let Da Bai and Tian Bei go, we have to stay home and run relationships," Yu Mingyuan replied.
"Okay." Su Tianyu nodded.
