San Tian Liang Jiao
Chapter 1024 Dao Feng's Trump Card
Time rewinds slightly, to about twenty minutes earlier, at the highest level of Castlevania.
At this moment, the battle between the three players from Dao Feng (Blade) and Dracula's three direct subordinates had entered a fever pitch.
Because Qisha, Tanlang, and Long Aotian had not seen the movie *Monster Squad*, they did not know how the monsters in the film were killed.
If they had known... perhaps the battle would have ended much sooner.
Here, let me first popularize the characteristics and weaknesses of these monsters in the film...
First, there is Dracula, the vampire. In the original film, in addition to being able to fly and transform into a bat, Count Dracula also had the characteristic of "bullet immunity." Specifically... shooting him with bullets wouldn't cause any damage; the bullets would pass through his body as if passing through air, hitting the objects behind him.
In addition, Dracula's combat abilities were also very powerful. He could calmly move forward when being grabbed by an adult man, could knock an adult man flying with one hand, could launch strange beams of light with his palms, and could also use dynamite attacks.
Yes... you read that right, "dynamite attacks." It's possible that the Count majored in goblin engineering, but in the film, he attacked by throwing dynamite more than once, and even used this method to send a black police officer (the one investigating the museum theft) to his death. Although we all know that black people generally die in monster movies, the image of "a black man blown up in a car by dynamite thrown by a vampire"... is something I've only seen once in my life, and just describing it makes me feel incredibly awkward.
Second, there's the werewolf. The "human side" of this werewolf in the movie is actually a good person; you can tell from the fact that he went to the police station to ask them to arrest him that he had no intention of hurting anyone in his human state. But in his werewolf state... he became Dracula's loyal henchman, a cold-blooded beast who wouldn't even spare children.
A brutal personality, powerful physique, and amazing self-healing ability that allowed him to recover even after being blown to pieces, made him the number two mainstay of the monster team. In the film, this werewolf also died quite unjustly, basically killed by the protagonist team's plot armor... He had a physique that could recover even after being blown to pieces by bombs, but he was taken away by a single silver bullet from a guy named Rudy in the *Monster Squad*. It can only be said that this was fate...
Next, let's look at the Gill-man. This brother's scenes were very few. From his limited appearances, it can be seen that his strength was amazing, and he had the ability to breathe underwater. Every time he appeared, he was either in a swamp or in a sewer. At the end of the film... he was shot in the heart with a shotgun by Horace and died. Overall, it felt like... killing him wasn't much harder than killing an ordinary human.
However, in the current script, he demonstrated the ability to spray high-pressure liquid bullets from his mouth, and the crocodile armor and mucus on his body provided excellent melee defense capabilities. Therefore, he can be considered the number three person (monster) in the monster team.
Next up is the mummy. Compared to the Gill-man, this guy was even more tragic. Judging from his performance in the film... his strength was roughly equivalent to a zombie wrapped in bandages. And that's... the least disparaging way to put it.
In fact, this guy was slower than a zombie, didn't show any outstanding performance in terms of strength, and didn't have any superpowers whatsoever. And the most tragic thing... was the way he died. This mummy climbed onto the protagonist team's car in the second half of the film, but someone pulled out one end of the bandages on his body, tied it to an arrow, and shot it out... Then, he was "pulled apart" like a unraveling knitted sweater. A few seconds later, this "mummy" turned into a long strand of bandage, a handful of ashes, and a skull of a dried corpse.
Of course, in this script, this monster was also strengthened a bit... The buffed attack and defense made up for the lack of speed. Although his weakness remained the same, Tanlang didn't know that he could be taken down by pulling the bandages... So he can also be considered a tricky little Boss.
So finally... let's talk about Frankenstein.
The reason for putting him last is not because he is the weakest. On the contrary, in terms of combat power alone, Frankenstein is second only to Dracula, and even more powerful than the werewolf.
However... this scientific monster has a similar problem to the werewolf – he's a good person.
Although his appearance is ugly and strange, his heart is kind, and he doesn't like to hurt others. Similar to the setting in the original work (referring to the original 1818 novel *Frankenstein*), he is just a tragic figure who was forced to come to this world, but was rejected and hostile to the world because of his appearance.
In the film version, Dracula sent him to kill the children of the Monster Squad, but Frankenstein eventually sided with the children, helped them defeat Dracula, and voluntarily entered the Gate of Purgatory.
And in this script, Feng Bujue, who had seen the original film, had already greeted Dracula in advance to avoid this situation from happening; this time, the Count didn't assign Frankenstein any tasks, in order to prevent the risk of him turning against them...
The above is the relevant information about the five main monsters in *Monster Squad*.
In the practical stage of the script, three of the monsters put the members of Dao Feng in a difficult battle...
If it were normal times, the members of Dao Feng would have just used their strength to overcome the cleverness and brushed these three little Bosses, but at this moment, their bodies had all returned to the level of ten-year-olds... Except for Long Ge, Qisha and Tanlang's combat power had both decreased significantly. Without knowing the strategy, these monsters were really difficult to deal with.
"Tsk... it has its own armor, and it's slippery. I can't even connect combos..." Qisha circled the Gill-man for a long time. His Survival Value wasn't damaged, and he had the upper hand, but he just couldn't defeat the opponent. Seeing his Stamina Value gradually depleting, he gradually became anxious.
"My side isn't easy either..." Tanlang responded from a distance, "This 'zongzi'’s defense is so high that I feel like I haven't broken through its defense after fighting for half a day..."
At this time, he was also in a posture of suppressing the monster, but the problem was that the attacks had little effect...
"You two should be content..." Long Ge on the other side quickly added, "You're just hitting without breaking defense... My side is reviving infinitely."
When saying this, Long Ge had knocked the werewolf to the ground several times, and even smashed it into meatloaf... but the werewolf could recover every time.
This kind of enemy with amazing self-healing ability... was Long Aotian's nemesis. Players like Long Ge who focus on defense lack explosive output skills... Without knowing the "silver bullet" setting, if he wanted to eliminate this werewolf with brute force, he would need a skill that could instantly blast the target into slag, but Long Ge didn't have that kind of move...
"Now that things have come to this... I have a suggestion..." After a few seconds, Tanlang said.
"Alright, you don't need to say it." Qisha replied, "I was just thinking the same thing."
"Hmm..." Long Ge also said, "I also think it's the right time to use 'that'."
"Then let's do it..." Tanlang's expression became solemn, and he said in a deep voice, "... Combination skill!"
