Chapter 503 - 503 0503 Music Festival Part 3

503: Chapter 0503: Music Festival (Part 3) 503: Chapter 0503: Music Festival (Part 3) Long Fei and two others followed the flow of people through the valley, where there was a concrete path that led all the way up the gorge to the top of the mountain.

The valley was lush and green, nourished by water vapor, and the scenery was limitless.

There was a waterfall cascading down from the mountain’s peak into a clear lake below, where the splashing water had created a rainbow.

Lin Shanshan always wanted to try everything, whether it was high-altitude zip lines or sky bridges, while Li Wenwen was so scared that she was nearly breaking down.

However, Shanshan was having the time of her life.

Next to the waterfall, there was a bungee jumping spot called Rainbow Bungee.

The lake below was about fifty meters down.

Li Wenwen firmly refused to try it, feeling dizzy just looking down.

But Lin Shanshan didn’t mind, and when her turn came up in line…

While everyone else was screaming for the safety officer not to let go, she spread her arms from the top and jumped down voluntarily.

After she jumped, she was waving at Long Fei and Li Wenwen from above the lake.

From here, one could either take the stairs or bungee jump down.

Li Wenwen didn’t have the strength; she was too exhausted to move.

She didn’t want to take the stairs, but she was scared of bungee jumping.

Long Fei suggested, “How about I jump with you?

With me here, even if the cord snaps, it won’t matter!”

Li Wenwen blushed and looked down hesitantly.

Long Fei had made up his mind and let Bald Dog take the stairs down.

Bald Dog, feeling rather dejected, vaulted over the railing and plunged straight into the lake.

The crowd waiting in line gasped in shock, peering down and exclaiming, “That dog’s committing suicide!”

“Oh my God, who owns that dog?

Why is it so depressed?”

“Must have been a broken heart, I guess!”

“Hey, even dogs are under so much stress nowadays.”

“Hurry, get a video and cash in on the views.”

With a splash on the surface of the lake, Bald Dog dove in like a cannonball.

Just as everyone thought it must have died from the fall, it popped its head out of the water and even had the nerve to spit at the onlookers.

If it had been a normal person jumping from such a height, the force of the water would surely have been lethal.

But what kind of body did Bald Dog have?

Even if there hadn’t been a lake below, its physique was tough enough not to get hurt.

Long Fei teased Li Wenwen, “See that?

We can’t possibly do worse than a dog, can we?”

Li Wenwen smiled with a bite of her lip and nodded her head, following him.

When their turn came, the safety officer strapped them together, with Li Wenwen held in his embrace.

Long Fei had nowhere else to put his hands, so he could only secure her slender waist from behind.

As the front barrier was opened, Long Fei leaped forward, taking Li Wenwen with him as they jumped down together.

The intense sensation of weightlessness caused Li Wenwen to scream uncontrollably, her delicate body clinging tightly to Long Fei.

Her T-shirt, which was rather loose, billowed up, threatening to slide off.

Long Fei reached out to hold it in place; any further and she would have been exposed.

However, his hand also made contact with Li Wenwen’s smooth back, sending a warm sensation straight into her brain.

Amidst her panic and lack of oxygen, she couldn’t help trembling from embarrassment.

At that moment, it felt as if they were the only two in the world, having shared a life-and-death experience.

After a few bounces on the cord, everything returned to normal, and the staff below unstrapped them and placed them on a boat.

Li Wenwen felt wobbly, as if she could no longer walk, and in the end, Long Fei had to carry her up.

Lin Shanshan laughed onshore, “Not bad, huh?

Which little dog was it that said she’d never jump?”

Li Wenwen blushed and pinched her on the body.

The three of them sat down in the rest area up ahead and had something to eat, with Li Wenwen fixing her long hair.

Blown by the wind during the jump, her hairstyle had become as wild as a madwoman’s.

Lin Shanshan’s ponytail, on the other hand, was the exact opposite of Li Wenwen’s graceful style, giving off a vivid sense of energy.

Their clothes were distinct as well; Li Wenwen wore a loose-fitting white T-shirt with three-quarter jeans, covering herself up tight, the epitome of a well-behaved girl.

Lin Shanshan was in a tight T-shirt with denim shorts, her buttocks round and perky.

Her fair, long legs were exposed, radiating youthful and sunny vibes.

Lin Shanshan had Long Fei fetch some beef jerky and even gave Li Wenwen an ice cream.

Li Wenwen widened her eyes, wondering where they had gotten these things from when they clearly hadn’t brought anything with them?

The scenic area didn’t sell these items, especially here where there wasn’t even electricity, only snacks and instant noodles.

Ice cream brought in from outside would have probably melted long ago.

It was getting late, and many people had started climbing the mountain, then taking the cable car or the slide back down.

Long Fei glanced around and asked Lin Shanshan, “Where do you plan to camp tonight?”

Lin Shanshan pointed ahead and said, “We’ll raft downstream from here, there’s a camping spot further down.”

Now deep in the valley, rafting ahead to a waterfall was the end of the line.

Further in lay the Primeval Forest.

Above the waterfall, there was a two-kilometer stretch of gentle river.

This stretch of land had the most beautiful scenery, the park provided specific camping spots, but you could also choose your own spot.

The three finished eating and drinking, then called for Bald Dog to hit the road.

Bald Dog, that bastard, wasted no time hustling around a group of girls for food, about to beg and take advantage, playing cute.

One minute he imitated a handstand; the next, he copied someone walking, making the girls laugh heartily and cuddle him.

Long Fei called him twice, but the bastard wouldn’t leave.

In the end, he had no choice but to carry it away by its ears amid the girls’ pitying gazes.

“Rough!”

“Barbaric!”

“Bully!”

“Poor doggy!”

A group of girls murmured and cursed.

Long Fei felt a pang of pathos, cursed even when trying to help them.

They didn’t see that the damn dog was getting hard.

The rafting spot was crowded, with everyone using inflatable rafts.

Once people came down, the rafts were pulled up again by a zipline.

Because there were so many people, the rafts weren’t enough, so there was a queue waiting.

It took half an hour before it was Long Fei’s group’s turn.

A dozen tall boys arrived later, without queuing they surrounded Long Fei at the front and pushed him backward.

Long Fei raised an eyebrow and looked at them.

One boy cursed and swore, “What are you looking at, we were here first, get to the back!”

The other boys laughed arrogantly.

One boy eyed Lin Shanshan and Li Wenwen, teasing, “You two girls can go down with us.”

“Yeah, beauties.

Come play with us, it’s more fun with more people.”

“Girls, we’re from the Polytechnic University basketball team.

Which school are you from?

You must be the campus belles, right?”

“I bet you’re not from Polytechnic University because our school only has hunks and dinosaurs.”

The boys were quite narcissistic.

Lin Shanshan and Li Wenwen shot them a glance and hid behind Long Fei.

Unexpectedly to them, Long Fei didn’t get physical, but just curled the corner of his mouth watching the group of boys.

A wave of light laughter came from behind, thinking Long Fei definitely chickened out.

But to be fair, these basketball players were tall and sturdy, anyone would back down.

A batch of rafts arrived, and the staff distributed life jackets and called everyone to board.

The dozen or so basketball players took two rafts, and after getting onboard, they whistled at Lin Shanshan.

Lin Shanshan, disgusted, called out to Long Fei, “Brother-in-law, why aren’t you doing anything about this?”

Long Fei just smiled, “There’s no fun here, it’s better down in the water, right?”

“Water?”

Lin Shanshan’s eyes lit up with understanding that Long Fei wasn’t such an easygoing person.

If provoked, how could there be no retaliation?
