Chapter 203 Sweeping Through the Enemy Ranks

Three days later, a secret base deep in the desert.

An elite squad from Arqon, under the command of Chief Haffizo Smeen, arrived here to undergo training with Jing Mingqiu.

As this group of weather-beaten, rough-skinned burly men disembarked, they discovered their instructor was a smooth-skinned, white-armored pretty boy. A wave of laughter erupted.

“Kid, war isn’t something a pretty boy like you can handle. You should go back and take care of the babies!”

“Hahahaha, you’re quite good-looking. How about you come warm my bed!”

Towards these unrestrained fellows, Jing Mingqiu found it beneath him to waste words. He unleashed his full power and charged directly into the crowd.

His hand rose, his fist landed.

Despite their best efforts to resist, flesh and blood were no match for metal. Within a few breaths, all of them were beaten down by Jing Mingqiu, lying on the ground, bruised and swollen, having lost the ability to fight back.

Jing Mingqiu returned to the high platform, cast a cold glance, and sternly asked, “Are you convinced?”

“No!” an Arqon soldier yelled defiantly, “This is unfair! You’re just relying on that metal suit. Take it off and fight us again. I guarantee we’ll beat you so badly your own mother wouldn’t recognize you!”

Hearing this, Jing Mingqiu couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “Hahahaha! Did a donkey kick your brain? You want me to take off my mecha, why don’t you ask the UN forces to ditch their planes and cannons when they invade and have a fistfight with you!”

The soldier remained unconvinced, “But we’re training now, not fighting a war! You’re in a mecha, and we can only use our fists. That’s not fair?”

“I never said you couldn’t use guns?” Jing Mingqiu raised an eyebrow. “This is a practical exercise starting now. You can use not only guns but also tanks, planes, and rocket launchers. Whatever weapons you have, you can use them!”

“Don’t be afraid, your pile of scrap metal can’t hurt me.”

Only the most elite soldiers of Arqon could have reached this point. Seeing Jing Mingqiu’s arrogance, they couldn’t hold back. They immediately struggled to their feet, pulled out their guns, and started firing.

Facing these semi-automatic rifles from the last century, Jing Mingqiu didn’t even bother to dodge. He stood with his hands behind his back, taking all the attacks head-on.

“Cease fire!” the squad leader was the first to notice the problem. “Normal attacks are ineffective against him. Throw smoke grenades first to block his vision, then use rocket launchers! I don’t believe a metal shell can be that tough, that even a rocket launcher can’t blow it apart!”

“Yes, Captain!”

Over twenty smoke grenades were thrown, engulfing the entire battlefield in smoke. Their figures instantly vanished before Jing Mingqiu’s eyes.

“Nice idea, but I’m not a boss in a game who just stands there and takes hits.”

Jing Mingqiu pressed a button, activating the infrared scanning function. Individual human silhouettes appeared clearly on the screen before him.

His hand rose, his blade fell.

No fancy maneuvers were needed. With a few simple hand chops, he disabled all the men carrying shoulder-fired rocket launchers.

Reality isn’t a game. There’s no need to consider balance, no weird rule where greater strength means slower speed, and no such thing as losing adaptability after donning a mecha, forcing one to just tank hits.

The auxiliary mecha developed by Jing Mingqiu was fundamentally different from the massive, clunky mechas seen in movies and anime. It wasn’t a replacement for tanks or planes; its primary function was to comprehensively enhance a soldier’s overall capabilities.

After the failed rocket launcher attack, the Arqon elite squad leader, still unconvinced, switched to several different tactics.

Alas, Jing Mingqiu had undergone rigorous military training in the system space. Their little tricks were full of flaws in his eyes.

Even without the mecha’s assistance, Jing Mingqiu was confident he could defeat them all. Not to mention he was currently wearing a mecha.

Jing Mingqiu hovered in the air, looking at the Arqon soldiers lying on the ground like beaten dogs, and declared loudly, “Well? Are you convinced now!”

A soldier weakly raised his head, “No! Not convinced! Unless you take off your mecha and beat us again, you can kill me, and I still won’t be convinced!”

“Heh,” Jing Mingqiu sneered, “A crude taunt. Do you think I’ll fall for it? Who knows how many guns are aimed at me from the shadows right now. Believe me, if I take off this mecha, someone will open fire immediately.”

“You should strive to improve yourself to win, not wish for your opponent to be weaker! Don’t think I’m not giving you a chance. I came here today to teach you how to operate the new generation of military auxiliary mechas.”

Saying that, Jing Mingqiu waved his hand, and a giant transport plane flew over. Its rear cargo door opened, and over a hundred mechas, each over three meters tall, jumped out one after another, landing steadily before everyone.

The Arqon soldiers lying on the ground, seeing these military auxiliary mechas, shining with cold light, filled with high-tech sophistication, and several times larger than the one Jing Mingqiu was wearing, couldn’t help but widen their eyes.

“These… these are for us?”

“This is part of the deal,” Jing Mingqiu reached out, and a military auxiliary mecha opened, revealing its human-shaped cockpit. “These are military auxiliary mechas I’ve specifically modified for desert climates.”

“Wearing this, conventional light weapons will cause you virtually no damage. You can also evade heavy weapons in advance, and it has functions like infrared scanning, data analysis, radar capture, and auxiliary targeting.”

“Roughly estimated, as long as you can proficiently operate this mecha, your combat power will increase by at least ten times. One person will be a tactical squad, and a hundred people will be enough to deliver a devastating blow to a mechanized legion.”

Upon hearing this, the Arqon soldiers’ expressions became incredibly excited, their eyes widening like copper bells. If they hadn’t been thoroughly thrashed by Jing Mingqiu just moments ago, they might have had some doubts about these metal shells.

Now that they had personally experienced the power of these mechas, this was the ultimate surprise!

This was a damn surprise!

After a brief silence, the Arqon elite squad leader, Jonathan Enoch, broke the quiet.

“Can… can I try?”

“Of course, these are specifically prepared for you,” Jing Mingqiu smiled. “You can just step onto them. The mechas have auxiliary AI that will teach you the basic operating methods.”

Jonathan Enoch, enduring the soreness all over his body, climbed up from the ground and walked to the mecha, carefully climbing inside.

“Click, click!”

Accompanied by a series of mechanical sounds, the mecha closed, enclosing Jonathan Enoch within and making subtle adjustments according to his body shape.

Although these were mass-produced standard mechas, as they were already second-generation, the donning speed had been greatly improved. In just over ten seconds, Jonathan Enoch had successfully put on the military auxiliary mecha.

“Hello, Military Modified Desert Type Auxiliary Armor is at your service. Beginning basic training. You can open the control panel through your sight or voice to view the current status of the mecha…”
