"General, you just said these were pieced together from salvaged parts. Do you have any more parts?"
Hafezo Smin was surprised by Jing Mingqiu's interest in these items. He paused for a moment before hastily nodding, "Yes, yes, of course! They're all piled up at the junkyard. My friend from Longguo, why do you ask?"
Jing Mingqiu didn't rush to answer. He walked directly to the front of the truck and gently tapped the hood.
With a series of clatters and bangs, the Aqiong Khan military truck was shattered, its tires, bearings, and engine scattering across the ground.
The others didn't know that Jing Mingqiu had already scanned the connecting central points with his system, nor that his seemingly casual tap, amplified by his mecha, had exerted over ten thousand pounds of force.
They only saw Jing Mingqiu tap it lightly, and the massive military truck simply disintegrated. The sheer shock caused them to widen their eyes involuntarily.
"Am I seeing things? He just tapped it once, and the truck fell apart."
"This... this is unscientific!"
"It might be an accident. This vehicle wasn't very well-made!"
...
Jing Mingqiu ignored the others and leisurely walked to the remaining four trucks, raising his hand and tapping each one.
"Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang."
After four sharp cracks, large amounts of metal rapidly fell, and the remaining four military trucks completely disassembled, turning into piles of parts.
Everyone was completely numb now, their eyes vacant, standing frozen in place.
Hafezo Smin, sweating profusely, hastily explained, "My friend from Longguo, these were our best military trucks. We really aren't deliberately trying to trick you?"
"I know," Jing Mingqiu said, stacking the salvaged parts on the ground and gently reassuring them. "These trucks suddenly broke apart not because of quality issues, but because I discovered a special metal inside and decided to dismantle them."
Hearing that it wasn't a quality problem with the trucks, Hafezo Smin breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. However, my friend, since you've dismantled the trucks, I won't be able to arrange new ones for a while. We might not be able to leave today."
"That's fine. I've prepared a feast. Let's eat first, and allow me to fulfill my duties as a host."
"No problem," Jing Mingqiu waved his hand. "It's a good opportunity to perform a comprehensive modification, to prevent them from falling apart halfway. Oh, right, General, where is this junkyard you mentioned? Could you please point it out? I really need this metal right now!"
Hafezo Smin didn't know what Jing Mingqiu wanted with these discarded parts, but he immediately nodded. "It's to the east. I'll take you there right away."
"I won't be going. Ling Kai, you take your men with the General. Here's a special metal scanner. Go and bring back all the parts that are glowing green."
Jing Mingqiu took out a special metal scanner he had just purchased from the system, threw it to the true captain of this mecha squad, and then pressed a button on his chest.
"Click, click!"
With a special sound effect, the mecha on Jing Mingqiu's body transformed. More than ten mechanical arms extended from his back, equipped with tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, and welding torches. He grabbed the scattered car parts and began welding, sparks flying.
More than two hours later, when Ling Kai returned with the parts from the junkyard, three brand-new military trucks, like colossal steel beasts, stood proudly in the center of the airport.
Jing Mingqiu had assembled these by combining the parts from five trucks with two decommissioned fighter jets from a nearby hangar.
With tires as tall as a person, a chassis reinforced three times, and a pure steel ramming horn at the front, it could tear apart not only ordinary passenger cars but even tanks if rammed at full speed.
Ling Kai, having witnessed Jing Mingqiu's miraculous creations many times, quickly regained his composure. He approached with the parts in his hands and presented them. "Professor Jing, we scoured the entire junkyard and only found this much."
"It's enough," Jing Mingqiu said, taking the parts and tossing them upwards. The mechanical arms on his back then spewed white flames, instantly melting the parts.
Immediately, several mechanical arms quickly extended, probing into the molten metal. After stirring for a moment, they pulled out a handful of white crystals.
"Let's go," Jing Mingqiu tossed the white crystals into his system space and waved to Hafezo Smin, who had just arrived, panting. "It's only nine o'clock now. If we leave early, we can still make it in time for lunch."
Hafezo Smin looked bewildered. "But, my friend from Longguo, our army hasn't even assembled yet! I can only mobilize a hundred men at most, and even with your thirty, that won't be enough to fill their teeth."
Jing Mingqiu waved his hand dismissively. "We won't need a hundred men. You can prepare a few people to clean up the battlefield."
Seeing Jing Mingqiu's insistence, Hafezo Smin no longer refused. He called his personal guard, Eddie Wutan, and had him take twenty gaunt soldiers onto the heavy trucks that Jing Mingqiu had just modified.
"Depart!"
At Jing Mingqiu's command, the truck drivers simultaneously started the engines and slammed the accelerator. Accompanied by clouds of dust kicked up by the tires, the three heavy trucks shot forward like predatory leopards.
As the trucks started, Hafezo Smin and his entourage instinctively covered their ears to prevent the deafening engine noise from bursting their eardrums.
However, events unfolded beyond their expectations. Apart from their own breathing, they could hear almost no other sounds. Not only was the roar of the engines absent, but even the usual clinking and rattling noises from various parts of the vehicle were all gone.
One of the Aqiong Khan soldiers couldn't help but ask Eddie Wutan, "This is amazing! General, is this really the same broken-down vehicle we had earlier, the one that made noise everywhere except the horn?"
"This..." Eddie Wutan was also deeply perplexed. "Although I watched that person from Longguo assemble it the entire time, seeing the finished product, I really can't say it was modified from our old car. This is on a completely different level!"
"Indeed," a soldier standing at the rear of the vehicle, watching the scenery rapidly recede on both sides, couldn't help but exclaim, "These cars are so fast! They must be going at least thirty kilometers per hour."
Another soldier loudly retorted. "Thirty kilometers is impossible. I used to ride a motorcycle, this is at least sixty kilometers."
"Sixty? How could it be that fast! On this muddy road, at sixty, it would flip over by now!"
Neither of them would back down, and they sought out Eddie Wutan to settle the matter.
Eddie Wutan stood up and looked out through the firing port. He noticed that the soil on the dirt road had been disturbed, indicating recent activity, and his heart suddenly pounded. He shouted at the top of his lungs.
"This is bad! Stop the car, stop it quickly!"
