Chapter 2 Young Lady, Please Behave

What's going on?

Ji Mo was utterly bewildered.

He watched Lin Zihan pounce at him viciously, only to be inexplicably sent flying back, spitting blood, and collapsing to the ground.

Was she trying to frame me? I didn't do anything!

Ji Mo cautiously approached Lin Zihan, noticing her pale face and faint breath. She had indeed fainted.

Her injuries were severe, with several old wounds reopening and bleeding profusely, staining her clothes red.

At this rate, she would soon succumb to blood loss and pass away.

To save her or not?

Ji Mo didn't hesitate. He picked up Lin Zihan and carried her inside, placing her on a bamboo bed.

"My medical skills are not yet perfected. Whether I can save you depends on fate."

Ji Mo wasn't very confident. Although he had treated many mortals, treating a cultivator was a first for him.

He took out silver needles and sterilized them.

Ji Mo took a deep breath, and one by one, the silver needles accurately pierced Lin Zihan's acupoints.

Twisting, lifting, sinking, burning mountain fire, penetrating the sky's coolness...

In just a few breaths, he had employed over a dozen acupuncture techniques.

Ji Mo's hands were steady and swift, like a swarm of wild bees, dazzling and overwhelming, truly miraculous.

A surge of vitality grew within Lin Zihan. Her bleeding stopped, her heart regained its vigor, her breathing stabilized, and her complexion gradually returned to normal.

All of this took less than half an incense stick's time.

In such a short period, saving a person on the brink of death with just acupuncture would shock the world if it were to spread.

Ji Mo breathed a sigh of relief and began to withdraw the needles.

Although her life was saved, her wounds still needed to be bandaged and medicated promptly, otherwise, serious problems would still arise.

"Hey, young lady, I'm saving you, not trying to take advantage of you."

With a healer's compassion, Ji Mo's gaze was clear, devoid of any ill intentions. With the mindset of seeing the rescue through, he reached out to untie Lin Zihan's sash.

After removing Lin Zihan's outer garment, Ji Mo discovered several sword wounds on her body, particularly two severe ones beneath her ribs and on her abdomen, deep enough to expose bone.

This evoked a trace of pity in Ji Mo. Who was the scoundrel who had inflicted such brutal harm on a young woman?

Just then, Lin Zihan grabbed Ji Mo's head with both hands, as if clutching a life-saving straw, and pulled him tightly into her embrace.

The warmth and softness against his face, the intoxicating fragrance, left Ji Mo stunned.

What was happening?

"Please be mindful of your conduct, young lady. I'm not that kind of person."

Ji Mo quickly broke free, his face flushed red.

However, he realized Lin Zihan was still unconscious, and this was merely a subconscious action.

That made sense; no young lady would be so forward.

Ji Mo held down Lin Zihan's flailing hands, then cleaned her wounds and applied his homemade ointment.

As for the two larger wounds, they needed to be sutured first.

Fortunately, Ji Mo's medical skills were superb, and he could perform the task with one hand.

"Mmmph..."

Lin Zihan moaned.

The ointment was working wonders, and her wounds were beginning to heal. The itching from the new flesh growth caused her to writhe unconsciously.

Lin Zihan's graceful body writhed like a water snake, her clothes disheveled, revealing glimpses of snow-white skin.

This made it impossible for Ji Mo to concentrate on his needling, and he nearly inserted the needles in the wrong places several times.

As her injuries rapidly improved, Lin Zihan's consciousness gradually cleared.

She slowly opened her eyes, feeling something was amiss. Why was her outer garment undone?

Then, Ji Mo's face, dark as charcoal, appeared before her. He was pressing her down on the bed, and his other hand was rummaging around her abdomen.

"Ah, you shameless scoundrel! What are you doing to me?"

Lin Zihan's mind went blank, and she instinctively struggled desperately.

"Don't move, it'll be done soon."

Ji Mo spoke, finishing the last stitch and beginning to apply medication.

Lin Zihan wouldn't listen, struggling even harder. "Scoundrel, let me go, or I'll call for help!"

"Go ahead and shout. It's no use, even if you scream your lungs out. I'm the only household within ten miles."

Ji Mo was unconcerned. He completed the final step and then released Lin Zihan's hand.

Lin Zihan curled into a ball, her eyes red, tears about to fall.

"I'm going to kill you! I will definitely kill you!"

She gritted her teeth.

Ji Mo found a blanket and draped it over her, sighing, "A thankless wretch biting the hand that feeds it. I kindly saved you, and you repay me with enmity."

"You? Saved me?"

Lin Zihan looked at Ji Mo's unconvincing dark face, not believing for a moment that this lecher was a good person.

Ji Mo couldn't be bothered with her anymore. He walked out of the room to wash off the dirt and, incidentally, remove the traces of the lightning strike on his head.

As Ji Mo left, Lin Zihan's agitated emotions slowly calmed down.

Upon a brief examination, she was stunned.

Her injuries had already healed by more than half. The wounds had clearly been carefully treated and were beginning to close, leaving only faint scars.

"He really saved me! I misunderstood him!"

"But how did he do it? Could he truly be a reclusive master?"

Lin Zihan was filled with confusion. She knew her own injuries; they were almost certainly fatal. Why had she now miraculously recovered?

"And what is this place? Why is the spiritual energy of heaven and earth so dense?"

Lin Zihan exclaimed again.

She noticed something else: the surrounding spiritual energy of heaven and earth was so dense it was almost tangible. Even ordinary breathing was several times faster than cultivating in a sacred place of a sect.

If she circulated her cultivation technique, the effect would be unimaginable.

To verify, she tried circulating her sect's cultivation technique.

Vast amounts of spiritual energy poured into her Dantian like migrating birds returning to their nests. Her previously depleted Dantian quickly became full, and her cultivation was increasing at a terrifying rate.

Could this place be a blessed land?

Perhaps even the legendary Ten Great Cultivation Sacred Realms were no match for it!

"Are you done causing trouble?"

Ji Mo had returned after washing up. He glanced at Lin Zihan and then quickly looked away.

See no evil.

Because Lin Zihan was meditating, the blanket had slipped aside, exposing her shoulder to the air. Her alluring curves were almost too much to look at directly.

"You..."

Lin Zihan looked at Ji Mo and was instantly dumbfounded.

His face was handsome, his eyes clear as autumn water, and he exuded a faint scholarly aura. He was as pure as unstained crystal.

So, he was this handsome.

Ji Mo touched his face. Had he not washed it clean? Why was this tigress looking at him so strangely?

"Junior Lin Zihan thanks Senior for saving my life."

Lin Zihan pulled the blanket up and quickly stepped forward to bow and thank Ji Mo.

Her pretty face turned crimson, filled with embarrassment. She had mistaken Ji Mo for a lecher and acted rudely.

At this moment, she was completely convinced that Ji Mo was an undeniable reclusive master.

"It's a small matter, not worth mentioning. My name is Ji Mo. I'm just a mortal, not any kind of senior."

Ji Mo said nonchalantly, as it truly hadn't been much effort.

Mortal?

Senior, don't you know you've revealed yourself?

There's still the aura of heavenly lightning lingering on your head. How can a mortal be struck by heavenly lightning and be completely unharmed?

Although Senior is noble and bestows favors without seeking reward, I am not someone who repays kindness with ingratitude.

Lin Zihan gazed at Ji Mo blankly, her heart filled with emotion. She had made a bold decision, "Senior's great kindness is immeasurable. This humble girl has no way to repay it, only... only..."

As she spoke, she began to unbutton her clothes.

"Hey, stop! You're not thinking of... offering yourself in marriage, are you?"
