Chapter 102

Chapter 102: 102

Tristan had reluctantly explained everything that happened to Trevor and he could not hide his shock as he listened in stunned silence.

The Omega he had spent almost two years nurturing feelings for has been claimed by an Alpha King.

Tristan looked up at him and waited for him to say something, anything, at least to know he wasn’t upset.

"I think it is safer for you to stay here for now, till we know what is going on." Trevor said after a short silence.

He smiled after he realised Tristan had been staring at him.

But he was breaking down inside, he didn’t even stand a chance against his potential rival.

"Excuse me". He said softly and walked out.

He later returned while he was on the phone with someone, he appeared to have gotten over what Tristan said or he was probably not as affected as Tristan thought.

"I am trying to get someone to ask around, if the news going around are only lies or the Alpha is truly gone, then we would know what to do from there". He informed and Tristan nodded while still staring at him in slight awe.

Trevor paused and looked back at him.

"Don’t look at me like that, you are cruel you know right?" He said suddenly and his smile disappeared slowly.

"I am sorry". Tristan apologized and looked away.

"It might cause some misunderstanding if he found out later that you were with me for some days. What will you do about that?".

"I... Tristan trailed off as he remembered the similar incident that happened in the past when the Alpha thought there was something going on between them.

"I will explain to him, I have never been anyone else except him. And he knows". Tristan replied after a few minutes of silence.

Trevor chuckled and cracked the knuckles of one hand as if controlling himself from lashing out and getting jealous.

"He is lucky I guess. I’m jealous". He confessed in a soft voice.

The response came a while later and it was confirmed that the rumors are true.

Tristan became more uneasy after it was confirmed. He could not sit still and started pacing around the apartment.

Trevor sighed as he watched him walk around from the corner of his eyes.

What made Tristan more uneasy was that he had no means of reaching anyone, he lost his phone or probably forgot it at Nita’s place.

"Can I... can you take me somewhere?". Tristan said suddenly and Trevor turned around to face him.

"Where?" He asked, genuinely curious.

"Mitch’s place". He said in a low voice.

Trevor frowned and pondered silently on the request.

"I don’t think that is good. Why do you want to go there? He is not there".

He argued.

Tristan didn’t back down and only waited for him to change his mind while staring at him.

"Okay fine, we will go tomorrow morning. I have to meet someone in a few hours".

He finally agreed and Tristan smiled happily.

"Thank you".

At Oak Tree pack, for hours in the dark, Alpha Mitch didn’t stop pulling at the chain on his right hand.

He gave up on the two hands and focused on one because if he could get out of one would get out of the second.

His arms were throbbing and it felt like they were about to pull out their socket.

With the final tug the heavy metal fell to the ground loudly.

He fell over as his chest heaved from over assertion.

The loud sound got the attention of the guard outside.

In no time, keys jiggle and make noise as he unlocked the door.

Alpha Mitch remained on the floor in partial pretense, he planned to knock the guard out immediately he got closer.

"Hey!

Are you okay?" The guard called several feet away scared to get any closer to him. While Alpha Mitch hoped he would.

If it wasn’t for the weapon he carries, he wouldn’t have opted for the pretense.

"Is he dead?" He muttered under his breath.

Wanting to get closer to confirm it, he kicked him on the shoulder several times but he did not get a reaction.

Quite confident that he was either dead or passed out, he bent down to touch him by the shoulder and that was a fatal mistake because he was caught by the hand and immediately twisted around.

He sat down forcefully with his back against Alpha Mitch’s stomach while his freed arm went around his neck in a death grip.

He did not even get the change to beg for his life as he made a choking sound while life drained out of this.

When his body relaxed, Alpha Mitch let him go and searched from the bunch of keys that was hooked to his waist for the key to the chain.

He found it and released himself from the bondage.

His feet faltered as he stood up and headed towards the door with only a short gun and a knife as his weapons.

He was immediately met by another guard that was coming to replace the dead one and he snapped his neck faster than he could blink. Blood splattered on him, dripping down his body.

He sighed and continued outside the whole dungeon.

His grip around the gun he held tightened, it was time to pay back, an eye for an eye.

Those that hurt him and his mate would wish never came across him.

He had just walked out when he noticed several guards were running around in the dark.

Alerting themselves and yelling orders.

Alpha Mitch hid in the darkness to watch them with a frown.

"What happened?" He thought with a frown as many of them went by without noticing him because of the unrest.

He waited for them to disperse and while they were still blinded by whatever caused the commotion, he went in the same direction as them to see the cause.

"Head to the pack house, they mustn’t get inside!" A voice yelled some distance away.

Alpha Mitch frowned.

"They?"
