Chapter 705 The Woman in Red

The morning sun had just risen, and Yu Daohen was already awake.

He had expected that a night's sleep would alleviate the soreness in his body, but to his surprise, the discomfort had only intensified.

Upon arriving in the main hall, Yu Daohen was about to prepare a cup of morning tea when he noticed the already brewed tea on the table, which made him curious.

The little girl didn't drink tea, so it could only be Grandpa.

Just then, Yu Shuntian emerged from the kitchen, noticing Yu Daohen's puzzled expression. "Henhen, you're up so early?"

Seeing his grandfather come out of the kitchen, Yu Daohen asked with a hint of confusion, "Grandpa, leave the cooking to me."

Upon hearing this, Yu Shuntian quickly stopped him, "No, no, Grandpa will do it."

Yu Daohen, observing his grandfather's somewhat anxious demeanor, inquired, "Grandpa, why are you so nervous?"

Yu Shuntian coughed lightly and chuckled, "It's nothing, how could I be?"

"Is that so?" Yu Daohen's gaze conveyed disbelief.

Yu Shuntian suddenly thought of something and said, "We're running short on celery at home. Go to the market and buy some."

Hearing this, Yu Daohen's face lit up with joy. "Are we making dumplings today?"

Yu Shuntian nodded. "It's rare for you and the little girl to be here, so we'll have dumplings today."

"Alright, I'll go buy some," Yu Daohen nodded and headed out to buy groceries.

The village market wasn't far, and it took about five to six minutes to walk there.

Upon arriving at the market, people were already starting to buy their produce.

Unlike in the city, people in the countryside ate lunch quite early to have more time for fieldwork.

Although the village market wasn't as large as those in the city, it had everything one could need.

Yu Daohen first went to the stall selling celery and bought some, then decided to purchase some pork.

Approaching the meat stall, Yu Daohen's face broke into a smile. "Uncle Li, please give me two jin of pork tenderloin, with a good balance of fat and lean, for dumplings."

Seeing Uncle Li, a burly man, smiling, Yu Daohen continued, "Uncle Li, today we're having dumplings."

Yu Daohen smiled and nodded politely, "That's right, we're making dumplings at home today."

Uncle Li was also a villager, and most of the vendors were neighbors.

"Alright, I'll get you a piece with a good mix of fat and lean."

Uncle Li said, picking up his cleaver, ready to start.

"Thank you, Uncle Li," Yu Daohen replied with a smile.

Just then, a woman in a red dress walked past him from behind.

Yu Daohen's smiling face changed instantly. He instinctively reached for the Kang Long Jian behind him, only to realize he hadn't brought it.

Ghostly aura!

Yu Daohen turned to look at the woman passing by, his expression becoming serious.

The aura emanating from her was a ghostly aura, intensely strong.

This was not a human, but a ghost!

The woman seemed to notice Yu Daohen's gaze and turned to look at him, a smile on her face. "Sir, is there something on my face?"

Yu Daohen paused for a moment, then shook his head, a smile on his face. "No, you just look a lot like a friend of mine."

Although Yu Daohen was smiling, he was inwardly shocked. He looked at the sunlight illuminating the woman, and his expression was one of utter bewilderment.

Impossible, how could this ghost not fear the sunlight?

Even a Ghost King couldn't stand in the sunlight for such an extended period.

There was only one possible explanation for this situation: this woman was not a ghost.

But if she wasn't a ghost, why was her aura so intensely ghostly?

Seeing Yu Daohen still staring at her, the woman spoke again, "Sir, what is it?"

Yu Daohen finally realized his lapse in composure. He averted his gaze and said with a smile, "Nothing."

The woman nodded, said nothing further, and turned to leave.

"Xiao Hen, your meat is ready," Uncle Li called out.

Yu Daohen didn't respond, his eyes fixed on the departing woman.

Seeing Yu Daohen still staring blankly at the woman, Uncle Li coughed lightly. "Xiao Hen, she's already far away."

Yu Daohen snapped back to attention, a smile on his face, and asked, "Uncle Li, is that woman from our village?"

Uncle Li looked at the departing woman and shook his head with certainty. "No, she's probably from another village."

Hearing this, Yu Daohen's expression grew grave.

What exactly was this person, human or ghost?

Yu Daohen took the pork and began to walk after the woman.

This person was definitely strange!

Seeing Yu Daohen following her, the woman's face showed a hint of a smile. She walked towards a deserted alley, feeling a slight surprise.

Such a handsome young man, and with a faint ghostly aura within him.

Wasn't this the perfect candidate for her husband?

Her grandson was quite a handsome boy.

Seeing the woman heading towards an empty area, Yu Daohen became even more convinced of his suspicions.

This woman was definitely up to something.

The woman walking ahead suddenly stopped and turned to face Yu Daohen. "Why have you been following me?"

Yu Daohen looked at the woman's face, and as he finally saw it clearly, his certainty solidified.

This woman was definitely not human!

There wasn't the slightest trace of a living person's aura on her face; it was the countenance of a corpse!

"You're not human at all. Tell me, what exactly are you!" Yu Daohen said, his palm already gathering the Tian Gan Palm.

The woman looked bewildered and asked, "What do you mean? Of course, I'm human."

Yu Daohen chuckled lightly. "Is that so? Then let me test it."

As soon as he finished speaking, Yu Daohen stomped his foot on the ground and charged forward, unleashing the Tian Gan Palm.

The woman, seeing Yu Daohen's palm strike coming, screamed in fright and covered her face. "Ah~."

Seeing that the woman merely covered her face and stood still, her speed slowing down.

Just as the Tian Gan Palm was half a meter away from the woman's face, Yu Daohen saw that she still reacted and abruptly stopped.

The woman, panting heavily, looked at Yu Daohen with a face full of terror, her speech faltering. "What… what do you want!?"

Yu Daohen awkwardly scratched the back of his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else."

The woman didn't buy it and said, "Even if you mistake someone, who would attack them upon meeting?"

In the Star-Moon Kingdom, at the Six Sword Sect.

The Six Sword Sect was unusually lively today, with thousands of people gathered in the open space outside the sect.

As the foremost sect in the Star-Moon Kingdom, it only recruited disciples once every three years.

This was a place that countless youths dreamed of.

Amidst the crowd, a young man looked at the scene with excitement. "This is the foremost sect of the Star-Moon Kingdom. It's quite impressive."

The young man was dressed in white, slender and delicate, with long hair cascading down his shoulders. His handsome face was pale, giving him the appearance of someone gravely ill, like an immortal from the heavens, out of place among the common folk.

Yu Que walked out of the main hall and looked at the masked man who had been repelled several meters by his hidden weapon, feeling surprised.

This Great Strength Pill is even better than Kidney Treasure. After taking it, my back doesn't hurt anymore, my legs aren't sore, and I can climb ten flights of stairs in one go.
