It had to be admitted that Li Naifeng's strength was lacking, but his movement techniques were indeed superb. If it were anyone else in this situation, they would have already died, yet he managed to escape.
Li Naifeng looked at his idol, Yu Daohan, and asked, "Master Yu, what happened to your face? Don't tell me the water corpse was flirting with you."
As the saying goes, don't hit someone in the face, and don't expose their shortcomings.
These words instantly hit Yu Daohan's sore spot.
Yu Daohan, with a grim expression, looked at Zhang Xiaoqiang beside him and said, "I think we should throw this guy into the water to accompany that walking water corpse."
Zhang Xiaoqiang grinned and replied, "You got it."
Although he knew Yu Daohan wouldn't actually throw him in, who wouldn't want to scare him a little?
Li Naifeng, realizing he had said the wrong thing, quickly corrected himself, "Master Yu, I was just kidding."
Yu Daohan shot him a glare, and then heard Su Lai, who was beside them, say with a serious expression, "Master Yu, those guys are catching up."
Yu Daohan and the others turned to look behind them. They saw that the group from before had, at some point, followed them.
The old man rowing the boat seemed slightly surprised that they were alright.
Seeing the man called Monkey grinning maliciously, Yu Daohan instinctively reached for the Kanglong Jian on his back.
"Go!" Yu Daohan instructed Su Lai beside him.
Su Lai nodded and continued to pole forward with the bamboo pole.
Fighting on the water would put them at a disadvantage. Once they reached the shore, even if those people dared to make a move, they wouldn't be afraid.
And so, Yu Daohan and his group rowed the raft forward, with the others following behind.
The man called Monkey looked at the old man rowing the boat and asked, "Boatman, are there any dangers ahead?"
The old man naturally understood Monkey's intentions and smiled, "Fifty meters ahead, there's a bat cave. Those are blood-sucking bats. If you disturb them, the consequences will be dire."
Upon hearing this, Monkey grinned. The man beside him reminded him, "Don't mess around. The employer's safety is the most important thing."
The woman beside them waved her hand and said, "As long as my safety is guaranteed, I won't restrict you."
The old man rowing the boat chuckled, "Don't worry. Although those things are fierce, they are very afraid of fire. I wouldn't dare charge such a high price if I wasn't confident in facing the danger."
Hearing this, Monkey grinned even more sinisterly. He wanted to test if this peerless prodigy truly had the ability.
The butler beside the woman reminded her, "Young Miss, isn't this a bit inappropriate?"
The woman shook her head, appearing somewhat excited. "If I were afraid, I wouldn't be in this line of work. Besides, isn't Uncle Hou here with me?"
"This..." The butler could only shake his head helplessly.
On the raft, Zhang Xiaoqiang looked at Yu Daohan beside him and said, "Master Yu, I always feel like that guy is looking at you with hostility. Is he your rival?"
Yu Daohan shook his head and smiled faintly, "Popularity breeds trouble. If he wants to test me, I don't mind letting him stay here forever."
Yu Daohan wasn't bragging. He might not be able to handle a Black List expert, but he was confident he could deal with this guy.
After all, with his strength on the Heaven List, he had every right to be proud.
After rowing about fifty to sixty meters, a sticky white substance dripped onto Zhang Xiaoqiang's nose.
Zhang Xiaoqiang wiped it with his hand and sniffed it.
He didn't know how bad it was until he smelled it, and then he was shocked by the stench.
The smell was overpowering, indescribably foul.
If one had to describe it with a single word, it would be the smell of fermented herring, blue cheese, and rotten duck eggs all mixed together, sealed in a sock that hadn't been washed for a month, and left for three weeks.
It was no exaggeration to say that even a dog would shake its head at it.
Zhang Xiaoqiang wiped the tears that had welled up in his eyes from the stench and was about to curse when Yu Daohan quickly covered his mouth.
Zhang Xiaoqiang turned to look at Yu Daohan, who pointed upwards.
Zhang Xiaoqiang shone his flashlight upwards. He saw countless bats hanging upside down, each as big as half an adult cat.
Zhang Xiaoqiang sniffed Yu Daohan's finger and immediately felt something was wrong.
Something's not right!
Why does Master Yu's hand also have this incredibly foul, shit-like smell?
Zhang Xiaoqiang wanted to tell Master Yu to quickly remove his hand.
But Yu Daohan thought that Xiaoqiang still didn't understand and held his mouth tighter, preventing him from speaking.
Thus, Zhang Xiaoqiang endured the most painful minute of his life.
Seeing that Zhang Xiaoqiang had stopped struggling, Yu Daohan slowly released his hand.
Zhang Xiaoqiang knelt on the ground and gagged, cursing inwardly.
I, Zhang Xiaoqiang, have been through all sorts of hardships. Demons and monsters haven't killed me, but I was almost suffocated to death by a pile of shit.
This single minute would take a lifetime to heal.
Su Lai looked at Xiaoqiang's pained expression and asked, "Is it that smelly?"
Zhang Xiaoqiang, with tears streaming down his face, said urgently, "This can't be described as smelly, it's simply poison gas, poison gas!!"
Looking at Zhang Xiaoqiang's contorted expression, one could imagine how terrible the smell was.
Li Naifeng, seeing Zhang Xiaoqiang's grimace, tried hard to suppress his laughter.
Su Lai's expression turned a bit serious. "Generally speaking, the smellier the excrement of an animal, the more likely it is to be a carnivore."
Hearing this, Yu Daohan frowned slightly. "Old Su, are you saying..."
Su Lai understood what Yu Daohan meant and nodded, "That's right. These bats are very likely to be blood-sucking species."
