"Perhaps so," Yu Daohen said, drawing the Kanglong Rod from his waist. His eyes were firm. "But if I don't try, I won't be at peace!"
Shen Tianming laughed heartily upon seeing Yu Daohen dare to act. "Hahaha, you have the spirit of Xu Feng from back then, but unfortunately, you are not Xu Feng."
Yu Daohen wasted no words. He traced the Kanglong Rod with his finger, and a ball of flame enveloped the rod as he swung it fiercely.
A fiery sword energy cleaved towards Shen Tianming.
Shen Tianming, seeing the incoming flame, did not dodge. He raised his hand and caught the fiery attack, a smile playing on his lips. "If it were Xu Feng's Fire Splitting Slash, it might still be able to harm me."
Yu Daohen knew that defeating Shen Tianming was impossible. He turned his gaze towards the formation ahead, from which yin energy was constantly surging outwards.
Just as he was about to use the Fire Splitting Slash on the formation again, Shen Tianming's figure appeared before him.
"What!" Yu Daohen exclaimed, but before he could react, Shen Tianming struck.
Forced to act, Yu Daohen raised the Kanglong Rod to block his chest.
*Bang!*
Shen Tianming's palm struck the Kanglong Rod. Yu Daohen felt a sharp pain shoot up his arm holding the rod, followed by a massive force that sent him flying backward.
Yu Daohen crashed heavily onto the ground. As he struggled to his feet, Shen Tianming's hand blade was already at his throat.
Cold sweat beaded on Yu Daohen's forehead. He had no chance of fighting back against the man before him.
Shen Tianming looked at the stunned Yu Daohen. "There's no need for you to continue. If I wanted to kill you, it would be effortless."
Yu Daohen remained silent, about to make another move when a voice called out from behind, "You've lived for hundreds of years, yet you resort to attacking a junior. Have you no shame?"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Yu Daohen's heart leaped. This person had arrived at the perfect moment.
Both men turned towards the direction of the voice.
A figure was slowly walking towards them.
The newcomer was none other than Liu Feng.
"Why are you here?" Shen Tianming asked, withdrawing his hand.
Liu Feng rolled his eyes. "Nonsense, of course, I'm here to take my companion away."
Shen Tianming glanced at Yu Daohen beside him, then at Liu Feng, and snorted. "What, you think I would harm him?"
Liu Feng ignored Shen Tianming's question and looked at Yu Daohen, who appeared somewhat surprised. "How was that? Did I arrive just in time?"
Yu Daohen nodded. He had to admit that Liu Feng's timing was impeccable.
But why did he always have the feeling that this guy was following him?
"Since you're here, would you be interested in seeing the scenery of this hell?" Shen Tianming said with a smile.
Liu Feng waved his hand. "I'm not interested in the lives and deaths of others."
After speaking, Liu Feng looked at Yu Daohen again. "We've seen enough, it's time for us to leave."
Yu Daohen didn't speak. If Liu Feng were here, perhaps the seal could indeed be prevented from opening, but how could he ask for help?
Even if he did, would Liu Feng agree?
Liu Feng seemed to sense what Yu Daohen wanted to say and shook his head in refusal. "I have no obligation to save others. I only want to protect you."
Liu Feng's meaning was clear: he would not intervene.
"Alright, there's no point in staying here any longer. Let's leave first," Liu Feng continued.
Yu Daohen nodded and followed Liu Feng down the mountain.
Yu Daohen remained silent throughout the journey.
If only he were stronger, he might have been able to prevent the seal from opening.
"Will you blame me for not stopping the seal from being broken?" Liu Feng asked, seeing Yu Daohen's dejected state.
Yu Daohen shook his head. He had no right to blame Liu Feng.
If it weren't for him, Yu Daohen would have died countless times already. He was grateful to Liu Feng, so how could he blame him?
Ultimately, it was his own lack of strength.
If it were Xu Feng, he would surely have the ability to prevent all of this.
Liu Feng looked at Yu Daohen and then recalled Xu Feng from the past, a smile appearing on his face. "You are just like Xu Feng. Although you claim to be uninvolved, when trouble arises, you still rush forward without hesitation."
Yu Daohen looked at Liu Feng, curious about his own past personality.
Liu Feng stopped and looked up at the sky, a look of happiness on his face. "This is also her personality!"
Just as Yu Daohen was about to speak, Liu Feng shook his head helplessly. "Alright, I know you feel bad about it. You go down the mountain first, and I'll stop the seal from being released."
"But you..." Before Yu Daohen could finish, Liu Feng interrupted him. "As long as you are happy, I am willing to do anything!"
Hearing Liu Feng's sudden sentimental words, Yu Daohen was stunned.
Before Yu Daohen could be moved, Liu Feng chuckled again, a mischievous smile appearing on his face. "How about it, aren't you deeply touched?"
Yu Daohen: "I'll be damn—"
"If you were to follow, I might be distracted by you. So, you should hurry down the mountain now." Liu Feng turned and headed back.
Watching Liu Feng's retreating back, Yu Daohen understood that Liu Feng meant for him not to follow.
"If things get too difficult, just escape. Don't try to be a hero," Yu Daohen called out, reminding him.
Liu Feng turned to look at Yu Daohen, a smile on his face. "Are you concerned about me?"
"I don't want you to be in danger for the sake of all living beings," Yu Daohen retorted, completely exasperated with this guy.
