Chapter 188 Taking Advantage of the Fire

The old man with white hair and a milky white right eyeball lay in a rocking chair. After a long pause, he said, "Your strength is too low to discern Master Yu's countenance. Moreover, his fate is peculiar, and even I dare not deduce too much."

The young man beside him looked astonished. His master was the foremost fortune teller in the world; how could he not divine Yu Daohang's fate?

Elder Guan slowly stood up and patted the young man's shoulder. "Everyone has their own destiny. Some are born kings, others outlaws. Yu Daohang is destined to be a king."

With that, Elder Guan ambled towards the inner room.

Two in the morning.

In the hotel room, Yu Daohang, who had been fast asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and looked at the door, a grin spreading across his face. "It seems some people really want to wait for a rabbit."

Yu Daohang quietly sat up and moved to the sofa directly opposite the door, settling down.

*Click.*

The lock on the door clicked open, and the door was slowly pushed inward.

Two figures, their footsteps hushed, crept into the room.

"Alright, I sensed your presence from afar," Yu Daohang said, looking at the two figures who had entered, a devilish smile on his face.

The two figures' expressions changed in surprise. Neither dared to make the first move.

"You should know that the moment you stepped through this door, you should have been prepared to die," Yu Daohang's voice was icy.

The two exchanged a glance. They knew Yu Daohang's reputation. Once they had entered, they had no other choice.

"Old Dog, attack!" one of the figures commanded.

"Understood, Brother Feng," the other figure replied.

Both drew out daggers that gleamed with a cold light.

Yu Daohang grinned. As he stood up, he kicked the cup on the table.

As the cup flew, Yu Daohang's figure followed close behind.

The man called Old Dog saw the flying cup and swung his dagger to cleave it.

Yu Daohang moved faster. The man called Brother Feng, seeing this, raised his dagger and slashed diagonally at Yu Daohang.

Yu Daohang dodged the incoming dagger, simultaneously grabbing Brother Feng by the throat. Old Dog's expression shifted, and he thrust his dagger directly at Yu Daohang's chest.

Yu Daohang used Brother Feng as a shield, his grip tightening. The dagger plunged into Brother Feng's left arm.

Brother Feng gritted his teeth in pain. Old Dog, realizing he had struck the wrong person, took a fearful step back.

Seizing the opportunity, Yu Daohang tightened his grip on Brother Feng's hand. A *crack* echoed from Brother Feng's neck, and he fell silent.

Yu Daohang flung Brother Feng aside. Old Dog swung his dagger at Yu Daohang again.

Yu Daohang kicked away the incoming dagger and muttered, "Five Elements Art, Earth Kun Hand."

As Yu Daohang finished speaking, his right hand became encased in a rock-like substance.

Yu Daohang thrust his hand directly into Old Dog's chest.

*Squelch.*

Yu Daohang's hand pierced Old Dog's chest, sending blood splattering.

Old Dog collapsed to the ground, his face filled with terror.

Yu Daohang's movements were swift and decisive, leaving no room for hesitation.

The rock-like substance dissolved into starlight and vanished into the air. Yu Daohang wiped the blood from his face. "It seems my body hasn't fully recovered."

Yu Daohang turned on the light and slowly sat down on the sofa, looking at Old Dog's corpse, whose blood stained the floor.

"It seems my mindset has changed after the battle with the three-thousand-year-old demon. I can't muster much interest in dealing with these petty characters."

"Ahhh!"

A heart-wrenching scream echoed from the adjacent room. Yu Daohang frowned. It seemed Qiangzi had also run into trouble.

While Yu Daohang was distracted, Brother Feng, who was supposed to be dead, suddenly stood up, smashed through the glass, and leaped out.

Yu Daohang frowned, a flicker of interest in his eyes. "I didn't expect this fellow to have such a trick up his sleeve. He didn't die even with his neck broken."

Yu Daohang walked to the window and saw Brother Feng crawling forward on his hands, one foot dragging, moving rapidly.

He looked like a stray dog.

Since it was past two in the morning, there were few people on the road. Otherwise, someone would definitely have recorded it.

Yu Daohang felt a touch of admiration. "I didn't expect this fellow to have such courage, jumping from the third floor without hesitation."

"I was careless. Next time, I must ensure a finishing blow and choose a room on a higher floor," Yu Daohang grumbled indignantly.

With that, Yu Daohang returned to the sofa and picked up an apple to eat.

"Master Yu, are you alright?" Qiangzi rushed to Yu Daohang's doorway. Before he could finish speaking, he saw Yu Daohang staring with interest at the blood-soaked corpse while eating an apple.

Seeing Qiangzi arrive, Yu Daohang picked up an apple and tossed it to him. "Have an apple."

Qiangzi caught the apple, feeling helpless. He wasn't in the mood for apples right now.

"Master Yu, why are you still so calm? Someone attacked us," Qiangzi said anxiously.

Yu Daohang took a bite of his apple and waved his hand. "Don't worry, they're just some petty characters trying to steal the spirit spring."

Qiangzi glanced at the corpse beside them, its chest completely pierced.

"Master Yu, should we be more cautious?" Qiangzi asked. "Given the situation, there will definitely be more people trying to steal the spirit spring tomorrow."

Yu Daohang shook his head. "Those with strong abilities usually disdain to steal; they can obtain it themselves. Only the low-ranking characters try to take advantage, like the one lying on the ground."
