Chapter 166 A Mad Tiger

Yu Daochen frowned as he watched Qiangzi take out the white talisman paper. He knew that the Heavenly Master's Mansion had no less than eight hundred talisman arts, but over the years, two-thirds had been lost. Of the remaining third, after excluding some of the more sinister ones, not many were left.

"Master Yu, drip some blood on it," Qiangzi said, opening the white talisman paper.

Yu Daochen bit his finger and dripped a drop of blood onto the white talisman paper as Qiangzi instructed.

Qiangzi quickly pinched the talisman paper between his index and middle fingers, chanting, "Now, with fresh blood, I sacrifice to ghosts and gods."

As Qiangzi chanted the incantation, the bead in Yu Daochen's hand emitted a dazzling blue light.

Yu Daochen's heart leaped with joy. It seemed the bead was indeed useful.

Qiangzi finished chanting and suddenly his fingers tightened. The white talisman paper between his fingers slowly turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Qiangzi released the talisman paper. It had completely turned red and floated in mid-air. Yu Daochen felt a force siphoning his body.

Yu Daochen put down his backpack and instructed Qiangzi beside him, "You go down the mountain first. We'll meet at the foot of the mountain."

"I'll go with you." Before Qiangzi could finish speaking, Yu Daochen had already dashed off.

Yu Daochen knew very well how strong that guy was. Someone who could make even Qiangzi unable to cope would only bring danger to Qiangzi if he came along.

The sun had completely set, and the sky was gradually darkening. A figure was darting through the woods.

Suddenly, Yu Daochen, who was on his way, sensed movement ahead and stopped. He grabbed the red talisman paper floating in the air and hid himself in the nearby bushes.

It was clear that the figure ahead had also sensed Yu Daochen and had similarly hidden in the bushes nearby.

Ahead, there were dense bushes and trees, and with it being dark, it was impossible to see who the other person was.

After waiting for more than three minutes, Yu Daochen looked at the bead in his hand, which was emitting a faint blue light, and frowned.

He couldn't wait any longer!

Yu Daochen drew the Kanglong mace from his waist and cautiously moved forward, lowering his posture.

Just as Yu Daochen was about to reach the bushes, three talismans flew directly towards him.

Yu Daochen stomped his foot, sending himself flying backward, dodging two of the talismans. He then swung the Kanglong mace and struck at the last talisman.

Bang!

The talisman exploded, and a figure suddenly leaped out of the bushes, swinging a dagger and stabbing towards Yu Daochen's chest.

Seeing this, Yu Daochen quickly raised the Kanglong mace to block the incoming dagger.

Suddenly, another figure leaped out from the bushes, also gripping a dagger and stabbing towards Yu Daochen.

Two people!

Yu Daochen's brow furrowed. As he blocked the first figure, he drew the Zhenhun Stone short sword from his thigh with his other hand and blocked the dagger stabbed by the second figure.

The force of the collision between the two weapons sent both of them staggering back a few steps.

Yu Daochen steadied himself, his expression changing slightly. The strength of these two individuals was definitely not low.

"So it's Master Yu." Before Yu Daochen could get a clear look at who they were, a voice reached him.

"Hmph, so it's you two." Yu Daochen looked closely and indeed saw Fen Yue and that person from the Talisman Sect.

"I am Ge Peiwen from the Talisman Sect. The incident last time was all a misunderstanding," Ge Peiwen said, cupping his fists.

Yu Daochen snorted, "I don't have time to waste with you now. After we get out of the Greater Khingan Range, I will personally go to the Talisman Sect to demand an explanation!"

Yu Daochen was not polite at all. They had already urinated on his head. If he endured this, wouldn't the title of Master Yu in the martial world be a laughingstock?

Fen Yue glanced at the red talisman paper peeking out of Yu Daochen's pocket, emitting a red glow, and said to Ge Peiwen beside him, "Senior Brother, if I'm not mistaken, he's using the Blood Sacrifice Seeking Technique."

Ge Peiwen's brow furrowed. He glanced at the talisman paper in Yu Daochen's pocket, which was emitting a red glow, and nodded. "That's right. When the Talisman Sect underwent that upheaval, they passed down many arts to the Heavenly Master's Mansion to save their lives, and the Blood Sacrifice Seeking Technique was one of them."

Yu Daochen's expression changed. It was rumored that the Talisman Sect was proficient in all arts based on talisman paper, so it was not surprising that the Blood Sacrifice Seeking Technique originated from them.

But he had to encounter it himself.

Fen Yue grinned. He knew the cost of the Blood Sacrifice Seeking Technique very well. "Yu Daochen, even though I don't know who you're looking for with this technique, if we keep you here, you will surely die."

Yu Daochen's gaze turned extremely cold, and he gripped the Kanglong mace tightly. "Do you think the two of you can stop me?"

Fen Yue's face was filled with anger. "Yu Daochen, you're still putting on an arrogant posture even when death is imminent."

Yu Daochen sneered and strode forward, continuing his journey. "You can try."

Fen Yue let out a cold snort and gripped his dagger, ready to move forward and stop him. Ge Peiwen grabbed Fen Yue and shook his head, signaling him not to be impulsive.

Fen Yue looked at Ge Peiwen with confusion. "This is the best opportunity to kill him."

Ge Peiwen shook his head, gazing at Yu Daochen's retreating back. "Don't you realize that his killing intent is extremely concentrated?"

Fen Yue looked puzzled. "I don't feel any killing intent from his expression."

Ge Peiwen shook his head. "No, his entire being is filled with killing intent."

It was rumored that when a tiger was extremely enraged, its eyes would turn red, killing all animals that dared to block its path. Ge Peiwen did not answer Fen Yue but told a story instead.

Fen Yue understood Ge Peiwen's meaning. At this moment, Yu Daochen was like that maddened tiger.
