Chapter 174 Eight Years

The fellows in the heavens should be coming down soon. Yu Daohén looked up at the sky, his expression complex.

Qin Muyu also looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh, "The seal on the passage to the mortal realm can't hold on much longer, eight years at most."

"Eight years."

Yu Daohén whispered the words, his face turning slightly grim. "Time is running out. The talent in this life is no less than mine back then. Eight years might truly be enough to fight those fellows in the heavens."

Qin Muyu remained silent, acknowledging that Yu Daohén's talent was indeed comparable to others.

"My time is almost up," Yu Daohén said, gazing into the distance.

"So soon?" Qin Muyu knew that this wisp of remnant soul had already reached its limit.

"Thank you for guarding me all this time!!"

As Yu Daohén finished speaking, the golden light around his body dissipated into the air.

"I will guard you forever!!" Qin Muyu nodded, though he knew Yu Daohén might no longer be able to hear him.

In Yu Daohén's mind, Xu Feng grinned, "It's time, I should disappear. Remember to take good care of him, and you won't be able to smell anything from now on."

Yu Daohén grunted, and Xu Feng's figure completely vanished, transforming into a ball of white light.

A bright light shot out, and Yu Daohén closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he saw Qin Muyu's worried face. "Are you alright?"

Yu Daohén nodded, a smile appearing on his face. "I'm fine."

Before he could say more, he felt a wave of dizziness. "Damn it, that guy didn't heal my injuries."

Qin Muyu, with quick reflexes, caught Yu Daohén, who had fainted.

In a daze, Yu Daohén had a dream.

In the dream, a man in ancient attire stood on a giant rock, gazing at the myriad gods in the sky. He held the Kanglong Halberd tightly, his clothes stained with blood, yet his face showed no fear. Instead, he grinned and looked down upon the gods.

The surrounding sky was blood-red, as if reflecting a destined end.

*Boom~*

A giant palm struck down towards the man on the rock.

The man grinned, "Even all the gods in the heavens cannot defeat Xu Feng!"

As soon as he spoke, he tightened his grip on the Kanglong Halberd and swung it towards the giant palm.

*Bang~*

With an explosion, Yu Daohén suddenly woke up. He looked around and saw only walls. He was lying on a wooden bed. It appeared to be a cave, but it was inhabited.

As Yu Daohén tried to lift his hand, he felt a sharp pain that made him frown.

"You're awake." Qin Muyu, seeing Yu Daohén stir, said anxiously.

Yu Daohén looked at Qin Muyu and felt that half his vision was gone. "My eyes?"

Qin Muyu shook his head and remained silent.

After swallowing all the pills, Yu Daohén had already guessed the outcome. "My hands?"

Qin Muyu looked at Yu Daohén, whose face was pale, and said with some self-reproach, "Your hands are fine. The meridians were broken, but I've already healed them for you. You'll be fine after resting for ten days to half a month."

Yu Daohén nodded and let out a long sigh. It seemed he had been badly injured in this battle.

Recalling the scene in his dream just now, Yu Daohén couldn't help but admire Xu Feng.

That guy could really fight against celestial beings, and not just one.

Yu Daohén's mind contained Xu Feng's memories from that life, but they were incomplete, with many fragmented scenes.

"Eat something first. You were unconscious for three days and three nights." Qin Muyu picked up a bowl of meat broth, scooped a spoonful with a wooden ladle, blew on it, and then extended it towards Yu Daohén's mouth.

Yu Daohén sniffed it with his nose and frowned. "What is this? Why doesn't it have any smell?"

Qin Muyu was taken aback and asked with some confusion, "It's meat broth. Can't you smell it?"

Yu Daohén then realized that he could no longer smell anything. "I just woke up, my nose is a bit stuffy."

Saying this, Yu Daohén opened his mouth, and Qin Muyu fed him the meat broth.

If this guy knew he couldn't smell anything, who knew what he would do.

Yu Daohén chewed on the meat in the broth, his brow furrowed. He hadn't expected this guy's soup-making skills to be so good.

"What's wrong?" Qin Muyu asked, noticing Yu Daohén's strange expression.

Yu Daohén shook his head. "I didn't expect your cooking to be so good."

Qin Muyu rolled his eyes. He had lived for thousands of years; making soup was not a problem.

Yu Daohén tried to sit up, but as soon as he moved, his whole body felt like it was falling apart.

Yu Daohén's expression changed slightly. He hadn't expected his body to become so weak just from lending it to Xu Feng for a while.

Seeing Yu Daohén try to sit up, Qin Muyu put down the bowl and helped him to a sitting position.

Yu Daohén carefully examined the environment of the cave. There were wooden tables, chairs, and some furniture. Although they looked quite old, their owner had protected them very well, with no damage at all.

"By the way, how did you find this place?" Yu Daohén asked curiously. Qin Muyu's demeanor suggested he was very familiar with the surroundings.

Qin Muyu glanced at the surrounding furniture and fell into thought. After a long while, he said, "This is where I used to live."

Yu Daohén looked at the furniture, which seemed to be four to five hundred years old. Had this guy lived here four hundred years ago?
