A disciple beside him saw that his master was having trouble obtaining the spirit bead and stepped forward, his tone laced with a threat: "Gu Ye, don't forget, we are from the Zhenbao Sect."
As soon as these words were spoken, Guo Cunhai, who was standing nearby, immediately became nervous.
Yu Daohang smiled instead of getting angry, looking at the young man who was the same age as him. Young people should have the spirit to confront anything and everything, but arrogance requires capital.
Speaking of which, Yu Daohang found it strange. His legend could subdue the elders, but why couldn't it subdue these small fries?
"It's truly the first time someone has dared to speak to me like this in Jiangdu," Yu Daohang said, looking at the young man before him with emotion.
The youth swallowed, knowing that the Zhenbao Sect was no small sect, and his master was still by his side. He figured Yu Daohang wouldn't dare to touch him.
Although he thought this in his heart, his legs couldn't help but tremble, as Yu Daohang's legend was widely spread.
"Kneel!" Guo Cunhai, standing beside him, suddenly shouted.
Even the other three disciples beside them were startled by Guo Cunhai's shout. They had never seen their master so stern.
The young man who had spoken looked confused and was about to retort when a tremendous pressure descended. The crowd couldn't withstand this pressure and all fell to their knees, with only Guo Cunhai struggling to hold on.
Yu Daohang patted Guo Cunhai's shoulder: "If it were me from ten days ago, I would have crippled him. But now, he's lucky."
Ever since his battle with that three-thousand-year-old great demon, Yu Daohang had lost interest in these insignificant pests. If it were Xu Feng, he probably wouldn't even glance at this fool.
As soon as Yu Daohang finished speaking, the oppressive force dissipated.
Guo Cunhai let out a long sigh of relief, grateful that Yu Daohang had no intention of making a move. Otherwise, he and his disciples would likely have met their end here.
The young man and the other disciples struggled to stand up. They were certain that if the oppressive force hadn't disappeared, they would have suffered internal injuries.
"Then we won't disturb you any further, Young Master Yu." Guo Cunhai cupped his hands and quickly left with his disciples.
Yu Daohang let out a soft hum and nodded. He glanced at the backyard, a slight smile playing on his lips. That fellow had arrived just in time.
Yu Daohang hummed a little tune and returned to his rocking chair to lie down. Now that Qiangzi's matter was resolved and there was nothing from the Yanhuo Sect, he could continue his life as a salted fish.
Outside the Midnight Spirit Shop.
Guo Cunhai looked at the disciple beside him: "Take a look and see if Yu Daohang is still watching this place."
One disciple turned to look and then turned back: "No more, Master."
Guo Cunhai sighed and nodded: "Xiao Xiang, come here."
Ye Huaixiang, who had just contradicted Yu Daohang, walked over trembling. He had already guessed what would happen next. This time, they had almost all perished. He was sure he would receive a few slaps.
Guo Cunhai slowly raised his hand, and Ye Huaixiang closed his eyes. But in the next second, Guo Cunhai's hand landed heavily on Ye Huaixiang.
Ye Huaixiang opened his eyes in confusion, only to hear Guo Cunhai sigh: "My legs are weak, support me a little."
Ye Huaixiang supported Guo Cunhai and looked down, only to see Guo Cunhai's legs trembling uncontrollably.
The other disciples also stole a glance, feeling a bit disappointed in their hearts. They had thought their master was not afraid of that oppressive force, but they didn't expect he was merely holding on.
What they didn't know was that when that oppressive force struck, Guo Cunhai could still barely resist. Perhaps seeing that Guo Cunhai hadn't knelt down yet, the oppressive force became even more terrifying, and it was directed solely at him.
Guo Cunhai was helped into the car by his disciples, and then they drove away.
Yu Daohang was comfortably lying down when his phone suddenly rang.
Yu Daohang took it out and saw it was an unknown number from Yulin, Guangxi.
Yu Daohang pressed the answer button, and Hu Ting (the Grand Elder of the Yanhuo Sect) spoke from the phone: "Sect Leader, the Fengtian Grand Assembly will be held in four months. We have already selected the participants. Would you like to come and see?"
Yu Daohang counted on his fingers and realized it was about time for the Fengtian Grand Assembly.
The so-called Fengtian Grand Assembly was a martial arts competition held once every three years. All sects, big or small, good or bad, could participate.
Firstly, it was an opportunity for martial arts exchange and mutual acquaintance. Secondly, it allowed sects to display their strength among each other. Thirdly, the victorious disciples would receive rewards from the organizers. A competition held only once every three years would surely have good prizes.
The organizers were always three experts from the Black List, with one principal host and two vice-hosts.
Yu Daohang then remembered that this session should be hosted by Hao Tian Quan, the third ranked expert on the Black List, which explained why he was seeking the spirit bead. The two vice-hosts should be Shen Tong Chou, ranked tenth on the Black List, and the last one would be the newly promoted Meng Da Long, ranked twelfth.
Before Yu Daohang left, he had instructed that all matters of the sect, big or small, were to be handled by the Grand Elder. This matter indeed needed to be reported to Yu Daohang.
"How about this, Elder Hu, have him come to me," Yu Daohang replied after some thought.
With the current strength of the Yanhuo Sect, it was unlikely they could win first place. However, now that he was the Sect Leader of the Yanhuo Sect, he should indeed oversee things properly, lest he be unworthy of the late Elder Tai's spirit.
Yu Daohang also inquired if there had been any recent changes in the Yanhuo Sect. Upon learning there were none, he hung up the phone with peace of mind.
In the afternoon, Xu Yayaya bought groceries and started making dinner.
After lunch, Yu Daohang went to the front shop, gazing at the setting sun, and smiled faintly.
The Midnight Spirit Shop begins its business!!
