Chapter 229 His Eyes Were Healed

The three were perplexed when a voice from the backyard reached Yu Daohan’s ears: "I didn't expect this thing to still be in the human world."

Yu Daohan wasn't overly surprised that the fellow recognized the item, as there was nothing in this world that he didn't know.

"I'll go to the backyard and ask him what this is," Yu Daohan said, carrying the wooden box towards the backyard.

Xu Gensheng and Xu Yaya also knew who Yu Daohan was referring to.

Yu Daohan walked to the large well in the backyard, and the Dragon Fish poked its little head out, shouting, "Daddy's back."

Yu Daohan nodded and took a close look at the Dragon Fish. In just a few days, the little fellow seemed to have grown considerably, doubling in size.

"It's grown too fast," Yu Daohan exclaimed in surprise.

"Could it be that Little Ya fed it too much meat, leading to indigestion?"

Suddenly, white smoke emerged from the well, quickly transforming into a human figure. Qin Muyu's silhouette appeared before Yu Daohan.

"Do you recognize this thing?" Yu Daohan handed the wooden box over.

Qin Muyu took the wooden box, opened it, and looked at the contents with a hint of surprise on his face: "It really is that thing?"

Seeing Qin Muyu's expression, Yu Daohan became even more puzzled. To be honest, this fellow was usually indifferent to everything, and this was the first time Yu Daohan had seen him show such astonishment.

"What on earth is this thing?" Yu Daohan asked.

Qin Muyu solemnly uttered three words: "Cornea!"

Yu Daohan thought he had misheard and repeated, "Cornea?"

Qin Muyu nodded: "That's right, it's a cornea."

Yu Daohan looked at the contents of the wooden box. "Could it be that if my eyes are blind, replacing them with a cornea will fix it?"

Qin Muyu guessed what Yu Daohan was thinking and felt a bit speechless: "Do you think something that can surprise me is just an ordinary cornea?"

Yu Daohan rolled his eyes. He understood this much: everyone's cornea was the same, with only slight differences in size. "Even the cornea of a Black List expert is just a cornea. Could it be the cornea of an immortal?"

"Yes, it's the cornea of an immortal," Qin Muyu replied.

As soon as Qin Muyu said this, Yu Daohan's eyes lit up. He snatched the wooden box and examined the cornea inside again: "So this is what an immortal's cornea looks like."

Qin Muyu was somewhat speechless. For someone who was a reincarnation of Xu Feng, he had so little composure.

However, Qin Muyu was also surprised that such a thing still existed in the human world.

Qin Muyu thought for a moment before asking, "Does the brocade pouch have any side effects on you?"

Yu Daohan blinked, his face full of confusion: "Side effects? What side effects?"

Seeing Yu Daohan's bewildered expression, Qin Muyu felt relieved: "It's nothing. This cornea can indeed cure your left eye, and it will bring you unexpected surprises."

Qin Muyu seemed unwilling to chat with Yu Daohan any further. As soon as he finished speaking, he turned into a wisp of green smoke and retreated into the well.

Yu Daohan watched Qin Muyu return to the well, and the smile on his face gradually faded. He shook his head helplessly. If this fellow knew he had lost his sense of smell, Yu Daohan wondered how guilty he would feel.

Yu Daohan walked to the door, opened it, stepped inside, and then closed it again.

Yu Daohan opened the small wooden box and carefully examined the cornea. This could be considered a relic of an immortal; who wouldn't be excited to see it?

Just as Yu Daohan was about to touch it with his hand, the cornea in the small wooden box suddenly vibrated and then rapidly drilled into Yu Daohan's left eye.

Yu Daohan felt the cornea turn into liquid and enter his eyeball. An intense pain caused him to break out in a cold sweat, and he couldn't help but fall to his knees.

Black liquid began to pour out of his left eye as if it were free-flowing water.

Yu Daohan inwardly cried out, "This is bad. If this continues, I'll be drained and pass out."

The black liquid flowed for about three minutes before it finally stopped. Yu Daohan gasped for breath, as if he had just gone through a fierce battle.

When he opened his left eye again, everything around him became bright.

Yu Daohan took a deep breath, and it felt as if everything in the world had become beautiful.

"The feeling of regaining what was lost is truly wonderful," Yu Daohan couldn't help but sigh.

Looking at the amount of blood on the ground, it was enough to condense five short swords of Reincarnation Blood Tears.

However, what made Yu Daohan curious was that despite losing so much blood, he hadn't become weak or fainted. "Could this be the surprise that fellow mentioned?"

Yu Daohan took off his clothes, went into the bathroom, and turned on the shower. Cold water flowed from his hair to his cheeks.

Yu Daohan relaxed completely, looking at his reflection in the mirror. He brushed his hair aside and sighed softly: "Why is my skin so pale? Could it be that I'm too weak from using too much Reincarnation Blood Tears?"

To be honest, Yu Daohan had been speechless for a long time. Although staying up late could indeed cause one's skin to appear sickly pale, this was too pale.

Yu Daohan's physique was not thin. While he couldn't compare to those who spent their days in the gym, he was at least a man with abdominal muscles. Yet, his sickly pale complexion, combined with his handsome features, made him appear weaker than others. Anyone who saw him would surely mistake him for a pretty boy.
