Chapter 421: Chapter 421: The Wen Family’s Conspiracy

Lin Fei watched as Liu Wei’s Ferrari sped away without a trace, feeling somewhat helpless.

In fact, when Liu Wei told Lin Fei that she liked him, he knew she wasn’t joking.

But Lin Fei really didn’t want to attract too many romantic entanglements.

Besides, Lin Fei and Liu Wei had only known each other for a few days; everything was still to be understood.

Lin Fei was afraid of Liu Wei confessing her love, so he used Yuan Yuxi and the others as a shield.

But doing so would undoubtedly hurt Liu Wei.

However, Lin Fei didn’t want her to suffer greater harm, so he had no choice.

But Liu Wei driving off in a huff like that worried Lin Fei, fearing that she might do something foolish in her poor state of mind.

Then again, considering that Liu Wei was a wealthy heiress, surely she wouldn’t be so unreasonable?

Lin Fei had no choice but to walk back to Shencheng Grand Hotel. Although the beach was nearby, it was still a bit of a walk.

As Lin Fei walked back to the hotel alone, Liu Wei was driving her Ferrari furiously down the highway.

It was her first time confessing her feelings to a guy, and not only did she not get a response.

But she also confirmed from Lin Fei’s mouth that he liked several girls, including Yuan Yuxi.

This clearly told her he was quite flirtatious.

Liu Wei was deeply hurt.

There were so many noble young masters in Capital City pursuing her, yet she couldn’t care less.

Instead, she had come to Shencheng and, inexplicably, fallen for someone seemingly ordinary like Lin Fei.

There was a unique aura about Lin Fei that others did not possess, like a refreshing stream in a muddied world, unpretentious and detached, making people feel close.

But when Lin Fei confessed his feelings for Yuan Yuxi and several other women, all of Liu Wei’s hopes and dreams shattered.

This also confirmed what her brother had said, that Lin Fei was a deceitful player with many girlfriends.

Liu Wei felt downhearted and wanted to find a place to vent.

Then, she drove her Ferrari to the city’s commercial center, returning to the KTV private room she had just sung in with Lin Fei earlier that day.

Seeing Liu Wei come in with a gloomy expression, Manager Zhong moved to the corner and made a call to Wen Xiaojun, “Young Master Wen, Miss Liu is here again.”

“Who did she come with?” Wen Xiaojun’s voice came from the phone.

“Just herself,” Manager Zhong replied.

“Hmm, no matter what she orders, I’ll cover it,” Wen Xiaojun said.

“Yes, Young Master.”

Top-floor office.

Behind the desk, on a leather chair, sat a tall middle-aged man in a suit and tie, with a calm expression and an aura of authority.

This middle-aged man was Wen Yaoting, the president of Wen Group.

He was also Wen Xiaojun’s father.

Wen Xiaojun sat on a chair in front of the desk, opposite his father.

Wen Yaoting looked up and casually asked his son:

“Who called?”

“Oh, it was Manager Zhong calling to tell me that Liu Wei is at the KTV,” Wen Xiaojun said.

“The heiress of the Liu family in Capital City?” Wen Yaoting said with a hint of displeasure in his eyes.

Wen Xiaojun knew that because the Zheng family and the Wen family were business rivals, and the Liu family was closely allied with the Zheng family, his father did not like Liu Wei, the heiress of the Liu family.

“Yes, that’s right, it’s her,” Wen Xiaojun continued, “Dad, I know you don’t like the Zheng and Liu families, especially since their successful bid on the Deep Bay land threatens our family’s market position in Shencheng real estate.”

Wen Yaoting frowned slightly, displaying annoyance as he said, “Yes, the cooperation between the Zheng and Liu families, taking the Deep Bay project from us, poses a significant threat.

But the Zheng and Liu families are time-honored, working closely together, leaving us with no chance to undermine them, let alone snatch the Deep Bay real estate project?”

Wen Xiaojun’s expression, however, was not as grave, even exuding optimism and confidence, as he said, “Dad, I do have a plan to force the Zheng and Liu families’ cooperation to fail, and even make them surrender the Deep Bay project to us.”

Wen Yaoting looked incredulous, saying, “Xiaojun, the Deep Bay project is a huge piece of meat, why would the Zheng and Liu families give it to us?”

Wen Xiaojun said, “Dad, did you know that our underground fight club was sabotaged today?”

Wen Yaoting didn’t understand why his son brought up the fight club, but he nodded and said, “Hmm, I’ve heard about it and was just about to ask who caused the trouble?”

“This person is called Lin Fei, from Huadu, with no notable background, although he knows a few affluent young masters from Huadu, is quite skilled in martial arts, and most importantly, Liu Wei seems to like him,” Wen Xiaojun said.

Wen Yaoting laughed, “With no background, he’s just an ordinary person, skilled in fighting but merely bold and rash. How could an influential family like the Liu family in Capital City take a fancy to him?”

“Exactly, the Liu family indeed doesn’t care for him,” Wen Xiaojun said, “And the friend who came with Song Haoyu is Zheng Wenbin’s cousin. He told Song Haoyu that Liu Xuan doesn’t want Lin Fei and Liu Wei to be together.”

Wen Yaoting looked at his son and said, “So, you want to use the conflict between Liu Xuan and Lin Fei to help us achieve a certain goal?”

Wen Xiaojun nodded and said, “We can leverage Lin Fei to either kill or injure Liu Xuan, thereby affecting the overall cooperation between the Liu and Zheng families, allowing our Wen family to profit as the third party.”

From his son’s words, Wen Yaoting seemed to detect some potential and promptly asked, “Xiaojun, quickly tell me your detailed plan.”

“Yes, Dad.”

Then, Wen Xiaojun explained his plan in detail to his father…

In the KTV private room, Liu Wei, in low spirits, drank alone, cup after cup of red wine disappearing into her stomach.

Noticing the empty wine bottle, she called out to the door of the private room, “Waiter!”

Immediately, a waiter came in, approached Liu Wei, and asked, “Miss, what do you need?”

“Another bottle of wine,” Liu Wei said.

“Please wait a moment.” With that, the waiter exited the private room.

Soon, the door opened again, and in came Manager Zhong, smiling with a golden grin and holding a tray with a bottle of red wine.

He approached Liu Wei, poured her a glass from the opened bottle, and said, “Miss Liu, drinking so much, are you in a bad mood?”

“Manager Zhong, you don’t need to worry about it, just leave,” Liu Wei said, slightly intoxicated and displeased.

Manager Zhong smiled and said, “Alright, alright, Miss Liu, I’ll leave now.”

As he exited, he sneakily glanced back to see Liu Wei drinking the glass he had just poured, a hint of a smile on his lips, then left the private room.

At the end of the corridor, Manager Zhong met Wen Xiaojun.

“Young Master, Miss Liu has drunk the drugged wine,” Manager Zhong whispered in Wen Xiaojun’s ear.

“Hmm.”

Ten minutes later, two female waiters escorted the exceedingly drunk and unconscious Liu Wei out of the private room.

This was a luxurious suite, and on the white-sheeted large bed lay the inebriated Liu Wei.

Wen Xiaojun and Song Haoyu stood in front of the bed.
