Chapter 240: HAD A SOUL AS BEAUTIFUL AS HER FACE
Just like their mothers had said, there really was a tea party being held for five days each week up until January.
Soon, it would be time for the boys to leave.
"Welcome, Princess Tia," Nova Kiran smiled. "Please follow me."
Aristia nodded and returned the smile. She entered the grand mansion with Nova Kiran beside her.
Servants bowed respectfully as they passed by them. They climbed the grand stairs and after walking some more, they stopped in front of a room that was partly open, revealing the reason she was here.
"Tia, you’re here." Lauren went forward and held Aristia’s by the hand, leading her towards the bed. Her words alerted the people in the room.
Aristia took in the situation. Paige Kiran was sitting on the bed, clothes sprawled around her and a group of maids standing against the wall with heads lowered.
"Princess Tia, you’re here." Paige Kiran said.
Aristia nodded, her eyes scanning Paige’s worried face. [Is she really this worried?]
She walked closer to Paige. Alicia said from the other side of the bed. "Sister Paige is unsure of what to pack for the academy." She sighed.
The academy resumed a week after the new year. Paige Kiran would be heading to the academy sooner than later.
She would be attending the academy this month of January when the academy officially opened for a new semester.
Aristia shook her head. Was there really any need to worry? The servants would take care of it. There was no need to be so worried.
"You can pack anything." She started, walking forward and holding Paige’s hand. "Now, why don’t we leave it to the servants?"
"But—" Paige started.
"When the servants are done, we can then go through it and see if you’re satisfied. And I’m sure Aunt Clarisse will also do the same." Aristia convinced.
"Oh..."
Not only Paige, but the others nodded in realisation, realising that her words made perfect sense.
Aristia led them to the table in the room meant for tea parties. It was similar to the one in her room— a circular table surrounded by chairs. It was meant for private discussions and tea parties between close friends.
She had to allow the servants to do their job. Judging from how they stood at the sidelines, it was obvious that they were constantly interrupted from doing anything.
Paige and the rest couldn’t really do much as pampered noble girls anyway. How would they know what things to take? It was better to leave it to the maids who were skilled in such things.
Seeing that they could finally work without any more scruples, the maids sighed in relief. Thank goodness for the Princess! She truly had a soul as beautiful as her face. They thought and thanked her in their hearts.
"Please, prepare some tea and snacks for us."
Aristia asked a servant to prepare some tea like they were her servants and the Kiran mansion was hers.
Nevertheless, no one said anything. She even said please! Whoever said that she was a brat had a problem in their eyes. Plus, she was so sweet, kind and considerate. She had built a home for homeless children. The servants thought this as they worked on their tasks.
Aristia was literally an angel in the eyes of commoners now.
When all of them were sat at the table, Aristia took her own seat. She had been invited to the Kiran household three days ago. She wasn’t the only one. Paige Kiran’s cousins Alicia Eldridge and Lauren Anton were also present. Her sister, Nova Kiran was there too.
The maids served some soothing tea. The light from the morning sun warmed the room. The fireplace was also lit. It was the sixth day of the month of January. The cold air blew in from the open window. The girls pulled their shawls closer to their bodies.
When they drank the mild tea, the girls visibly relaxed.
"Ah," Paige sighed. "I am excited about attending the academy, but I am also very nervous."
All aristocrat children would be nervous when it was time to attend the academy. They would be away from their family for the first time. The academy was not in Amberale. It wasn’t in any kingdom. It would take more than a few days to reach the academy from Amberale.
Paige had been excited, but now that it was finally time, she felt quite nervous.
"I still have two years before I attend the academy." Nova said.
"At least you will have Princess Beatrix and Princess Serina with you." Paige said. The first and second princesses were the same age as her younger sister.
It wasn’t like she was the only girl in the aristocracy who was eight years old. But she was the only noble girl among the pure nobles who was eight years old. She had associates among other aristocrats, including lower nobility, but they weren’t especially close. That was why she had invited Aristia and her cousins whom she was closer to.
"When are you leaving?" Aristia’s voice pulled Paige out of her thoughts.
"Tomorrow." Paige replied. She was experiencing both anticipation and nervousness.
"We will see you off then." Aristia informed her. Since it was almost noon, it wouldn’t hurt to do that.
"Really? Thank you." Paige smiled widely.
"It’s nothing, sister Paige. Plus, Ivan and Liam are also leaving tomorrow." Aristia finished her tea and put down her teacup.
[So yes, I have a lot of places to be tomorrow.]
By the time they were all done with the tea, the maids were done with packing Paige’s things into her chests.
"Now that that’s settled. I have to go. Mama’s holding a tea party at the mansion because of those leaving tomorrow." Aristia said, getting up.
"Yes. I have to leave too." Alicia Eldridge said, getting up too.
"Me too." Lauren followed.
They would all attend the tea party. As their mothers were friends with each other, that would surely go.
"I’ll be there too." Paige said. After all, the tea party was also being held for her.
The girls each left, leaving the Kiran girls in the mansion.
Paige slumped down on her bed, burying her face in her pillow.
"Then I’ll go get ready." Nova said, standing up from her sisters bed.
"Mmhm." Paige responded in a muffled voice.
