Chapter 690 Operation Get Them Drunk

"What do you mean 'makes sense'? It always made sense," Feng Qishi said with a smile.

Mu Anxiao shot Feng Qishi a sidelong glance. "I was just speaking casually; you don't have to take it seriously."

"But I do take it seriously," Feng Qishi stated indignantly.

"Whatever you say," Mu Anxiao replied, glancing at the rat demons present. "You all should think of a solution yourselves."

"We can't think of anything," the female rat demon replied, shaking her head slightly.

"None of us can," they chorused.

Mu Anxiao looked at the unmotivated rat demons with a helpless expression and sighed. "You mean you want me to think of one?" she said, pointing to herself.

"Yes," the female rat demon nodded first.

Mu Anxiao let out a cold laugh and turned to Xu Lanyan. "You think about it."

"Get rid of those two outside, and we'll leave," Xu Lanyan said bluntly.

Mu Anxiao's face stiffened. "No, if you all leave, what about me?"

"If they all leave, I'll stay," Feng Qishi raised his hand.

Mu Anxiao turned to look at Feng Qishi. "Just you?"

"Yes," Feng Qishi nodded.

Mu Anxiao shook her head. "No, that's too suspicious."

"I'm already suspicious just being here. Since you're here, I won't die," Feng Qishi said with a relaxed smile.

Mu Anxiao, however, did not share Feng Qishi's optimistic outlook. She surveyed her surroundings, thought for a moment, and then said, "I have a plan."

"What plan?" Feng Qishi asked, confused.

"I'll get the big demon drunk, make him release you himself, and then," Mu Anxiao smiled, "he can't blame anyone."

"Are you insane?" Feng Qishi narrowed his eyes and said.

Mu Anxiao shrugged her shoulders. "Not insane. Just wait for my good news."

"You..."

Before Feng Qishi could utter another word, Mu Anxiao immediately turned to the rat demons. "Right, Queen Rabbit asked me to poison you. If you have any poison on you, eat it when necessary. Of course, only if you have the antidote. Don't eat it directly, or you'll poison yourselves."

"I don't understand what you mean?" the second female rat demon asked.

Mu Anxiao looked at the other rat demons, then back at the second female rat demon, explaining patiently. "What I mean is, that Queen Rabbit asked me to poison you, right? I'm worried she might come over later, so you should eat the poison you have on yourselves. That way, when she tests for poison, she can be fooled."

"You could just say you didn't give them any," Feng Qishi said.

Mu Anxiao smiled. "Big brother, could you say one less word?"

Following this, the female rat demon glanced at Feng Qishi. "If she tests for poison, she'll be able to tell immediately if it's the poison she gave you. So, I think doing this would be redundant and cause you unnecessary trouble."

Hearing the female rat demon's words, Mu Anxiao thought about it and nodded. "You have a point. Then, how about you pretend to drive me out?"

"Why?" the second female rat demon asked with a blank expression.

The maid rabbit couldn't stand it any longer and said, "Are you stupid? Those two outside are Queen Rabbit's spies. If you don't do this, Mu Anxiao will be in trouble. Can't you use your brain?"

"Exactly," the first rabbit spirit agreed.

The second rabbit spirit said, "Maybe those two are eavesdropping at the door right now."

"There's a possibility," the third rabbit spirit nodded.

After they finished speaking, the second female rat demon glared at them indignantly. "Useless rabbits, all of you. Stop acting so smart."

"We are naturally smarter than you," the maid rabbit stated righteously.

"You..."

"Enough," the female rat demon interrupted the second female rat demon and looked at the maid rabbit. "They are helping us. You're going too far."

"I... I'm right," the second female rat demon said, turning away.

Mu Anxiao looked at the back of the second female rat demon's head. "The rabbits are helping you, so it's pointless to act like this."

Upon hearing this, the second female rat demon turned to Mu Anxiao. "You're siding with them."

"It's your business how you want to think. If you want to live, don't start pointless arguments."

"She called me stupid," the second female rat demon said, pointing at the maid rabbit in a complaining tone.

The maid rabbit found the second female rat demon ridiculous and turned her head away.

Mu Anxiao glanced at the maid rabbit. "You too. Her being slow-witted is her business. Why did you have to say that to her?"

"You called me stupid too," the second female rat demon pouted.

Mu Anxiao smiled. "Aren't you slow-witted? The things you didn't think of, she did," she pointed at the maid rabbit.

"But, I'm not familiar with them," the second female rat demon said.

"If you have time, invite them to your place, and then you can return the favor there. You're familiar with your own territory," Mu Anxiao pointed at the second female rat demon.

Upon hearing this, the second female rat demon couldn't help but smile.

The maid rabbit lowered her eyes and smiled, then looked up. "I apologize for earlier."

Hearing this, the second female rat demon looked at the maid rabbit in surprise, blinked for a few seconds, and then smiled, shaking her head.

"Alright, let's all get along. I'm leaving," Mu Anxiao said, looking down at Feng Qishi. "You too, why are you just sitting there? Get up and move around."

"What's wrong with me sitting?" Feng Qishi retorted.

Mu Anxiao frowned at Feng Qishi's arrogant expression, stepped forward, and kicked his folded leg forcefully, saying, "Whatever you want."

"You can't out-argue me, so you..." Feng Qishi stopped mid-sentence, suddenly feeling a cool sensation at the sole of his foot, followed by numbness spreading up his leg. His expression contorted.

"Your foot is numb," Mu Anxiao said.

Feng Qishi gritted his teeth. "Just say one less word."

"Do you want another kick?" Mu Anxiao deliberately raised her foot.

"Go on, leave," Feng Qishi waved his hand.

"I'm not leaving," Mu Anxiao said, shifting a couple of steps to the side, then crouching down to look at Feng Qishi's profile and chuckled.

Following this, Feng Qishi, amidst Mu Anxiao's mockery, recovered.

"Why haven't you left yet?" he stretched out his legs and asked, turning to look at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao rested her chin on her hand. "Watching you."

"You've watched enough, can you leave now?" Feng Qishi smiled.

"You didn't finish what you were saying," Mu Anxiao suddenly said.

Feng Qishi frowned. "What was I saying?"

"You," Mu Anxiao said simply.

"Me?" Feng Qishi didn't react for a moment. After thinking, he said, "Oh, I said, are you insane?"

"Not insane. Just wait for my good news," Mu Anxiao said, patting Feng Qishi's shoulder, then standing up.

Feng Qishi heard Mu Anxiao's words and thought for a moment. "Aren't you being too naive? How are you going to get him drunk?"

"I don't know yet. I'll figure it out when I go out," Mu Anxiao said, brushing dry grass off her arm.

Feng Qishi's mouth twitched. "Then I think you shouldn't do it. It's too risky."
