Chapter 359: A New Resolution
[The benefits that will be gained from training are nothing compared to the benefits that will be gained from actual battles.]
Jason hummed, and he finally shrugged. It wasn’t like his subordinates were doing anything now. So even if the benefits weren’t that much, it was better for them to be training than for them to just be sitting around and doing nothing. Jason immediately called out to all the subordinates, and he watched as they all stood up quickly and looked towards the sky in reverence! The subordinates were all eager to hear what Jason had to say, and Jason told them that he was going to be putting them through training. The subordinates were confused at first since they had never done any training after their resurrections, but Jason didn’t waste any time as he began assigning leaders.
The hand-to-hand combatants were going to be fighting under Jaraht. He was the best brawler in the Legion, so Jason would leave him in charge of their training. Those who used swords would be learning from the Sovereign himself since he was the strongest, but Jason also assigned various Generals from the Radagan army as leaders of different squads that would be learning swordsmanship from them. The dragons and wyverns in Jason’s Legion would be under the care of Ragnar and the Sovereign’s dragon.
’Right, I haven’t even named him yet.’
’His name is Trigon, my king.’
The Sovereign suddenly spoke up when he heard Jason thinking of a name for his dragon, and Jason hummed as he decided that this wasn’t a bad name.
[Would the user like to choose [Trigon] as the subordinate’s name?]
Jason chose yes, and he saw the tab above Trigon’s head change.
——
[Trigon]
[Bishop Rank I]
[Hierarchy Level: 4 [10%]]
[Subordinate Count: 100/150]
[Upgrade Points: 0/1000]
[Upgrade Limit: Knight Rank III]
[MP: 300,000]
——
Jason nodded to these changes and then continued his assignment. Trigon and Ragnar would be in charge of training the dragons and wyverns, and all the superhumans that were in the Legion were to train against each other in a tournament-style battle. Each of the superhumans would fight against the other, and then the winners would go ahead and fight each other again. They would continue this until there was only one winner, and then that winner would join the Sovereign’s team to train while the rest of the superhumans go through another tournament-style battle.
As for the Magic Beasts, Jason gave them free reign to train in any way that they thought was best. It didn’t matter what they did. They could go out hunting, or they could attack any of the Legion members and disrupt their training. As long as they were doing what was best for their own species to get stronger, then Jason wouldn’t bother them. Once Jason was done giving out his orders, he watched as the groups began to form quickly. The subordinates all took Jason’s words to heart, and they recognized that Jason really wanted them to grow stronger, so they wasted no time starting their training. Jason saw Fenrir and the rest of the Moonlight Wolves charging off towards the distance for some reason, and the Spidermonkeys charged towards a forest that was on the eastern side of the dimension. The brawlers moved towards Jaraht, and the swordsmen and women moved towards the Sovereign. A large space was left in the center of the Alternate Dimension where the superhumans began to pair up to fight, and Jason nodded as he decided to leave them to it.
Once Jason was done with his subordinates, he finally turned to the various messages that the system had sent to him, and he opened the first one.
——
Mission Complete!
Congratulations, the user has successfully completed the [Long Term] mission [Protect the Radagan Princess].
The user has gained an increased reputation with the [Radagan Dragonborn]. If the user is ever in need of help in the future, the Dragonborn will not hesitate to come to the user’s aid.
The user has gained 10,000 Free Kill Points.
Due to the difficulty experienced during the mission, the system has calculated that an increased reward is required. The system has deduced that the user’s reward will be increased by a factor of [50].
The user has gained an extra 490,000 Free Kill Points.
The user has gained the title [Protector].
——
[Protector: This title certifies the user as a selfless person capable of going out of his way to aid those who are truly in need. This title will grant the user a 50% increase in Charisma and a 50% increase in Luck while he is actively trying to help those who are in need.]
[The Charisma stat will make it easier for the user to form alliances, and the user will also become more agreeable to those he is in negotiations with. The Luck stat will increase the value of Artifact drops, and it will also give the user an increased chance of landing a [Critical Hit] while using any of his attack-based skills.]
——
Jason huffed in amusement before he smiled as he read through this tab! Jason had actually forgotten that he had this mission at all! It was so long ago and so much had happened since then that it felt like that was another life altogether! Jason read through the rewards quickly, and he nodded when he saw the increase in Kill Points that the system gave him! Jason would have been pissed if he went through all this and he only got ten thousand Kill Points as a reward! At least with this many Kill Points, Jason didn’t have to worry about looking for points in order to raise some more Rook Rank subordinates up the hierarchy!
Jason looked at the new title that he got, and he chuckled calmly. The rewards were just like what Jason thought they would be, but it was nice to see that he would get a higher drop rate when he was getting artifacts! Maybe now he would finally get some attacking-type artifacts rather than the defensive types he had been getting all this time! Jason finally turned away from that tab once he was done reading it and he looked towards the next one.
——
The user has deposited a significant number of unresurrected bodies into his Alternate Dimension. The System advises the user to resurrect the dead subordinates as quickly as possible.
——
Jason hummed once he read through this and quickly opened the tab to take a look at just how many subordinates he had to resurrect!
——
The user has stored:
[810] Imperial Guards
[951] Rogues
[69] Royal Army Soldiers
[3] Royal Army Generals
[160] Ashenvalley Dragons
[150] Ashenvalley Wyverns
——
’Holy shit.’
Jason couldn’t help himself from cursing once he read the sheer number of soldiers that he had stored! Jason already resurrected a lot of soldiers during the battle and Jason was sure that those soldiers would be reaching up to at least a thousand in number, but with these numbers added on top, Jason would pass three thousand easily! But Jason knew that even with these numbers, the only reason he was able to win this battle was because of the number of soldiers that had turned against Sovereign during the battle. There were hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the Radagan Army, and Jason’s Legion would have been overwhelmed if not for the soldiers that fought by their side. This showed that Jason was still lacking.
’I need to find a way to get even stronger. Even with so many subordinates, I’m still not strong enough to take on an entire world on my own. This was just a small scuffle, but I still needed help from the Radagan soldiers to make things work. Next time I want to be strong enough to fight an entire world on my own if I want to.’
