Chapter 219: Chapter 219: Wedding Day Part I
The wedding day has arrived. After two years of waiting, this couple’s dream has finally come true. While many people have disapproved of their relationship, it has even involved lives and misunderstandings, yet they have remained steadfast in their relationship to this day.
Moreover, the venue they chose was an outdoor setting, allowing for both ocean views. Because they love the ocean so much, they didn’t want to hold their wedding like other couples, which typically take place inside a hotel.
Before the wedding ceremony began, Victoria prepared in the bridal suite. She was also accompanied by Laura, Jennifer, and Lena. Since Lena is now Marcel’s girlfriend, she also attended the wedding and has become Victoria’s best friend and personal assistant.
Jennifer was in awe of her friend’s beauty, already dressed in a specially designed wedding gown. She gazed at the newlywed bride-to-be so raptly that their lips almost accidentally touched.
"Ouch, Jennifer! You just startled me!" Victoria protested, gently hitting her friend’s arm.
"I was also shocked because I almost stained your lips."
Laura could only shake her head. "If Matthias finds out, you’ll definitely not survive."
"Matthias is indeed very scary when it comes to his wife."
"Therefore, I suggest you don’t do anything to Victoria if you want to save your life."
"I’m tired of saying bad things openly in front of Matthias. He’s a very scary man, even though he’s always sweet to his wife."
"I admit, Victoria is the luckiest woman to have Matthias in her life." Laura hugged her friend tightly. "I’m so happy to see you both now. I don’t have to worry anymore."
Jennifer also embraced her friend enthusiastically. "Now I don’t have to listen to all your complaints anymore. Hearing you complain all the time makes me sad, too."
Meanwhile, Victoria could only surrender, her body embraced tightly by her two friends. Her gaze was fixed on Lena, who was also staring at her in awe from a distance.
"Lena, can you save me now?"
Lena laughed softly as she slowly walked over to the newlywed and her boss. "I actually wanted to hug you too, because I’m so happy to see you in this beautiful wedding dress. But your two best friends already took you."
Jennifer pursed her lips. "It wasn’t just me who was overreacting, even Lena was happy. Even though she was previously on Fransisca’s side."
"Actually, from the start, I was reluctant to support her. That’s why I’ve been secretly gathering evidence of her crimes."
"Thank you, Lena. You’re the key to getting Matthias and me to where we are today. Without your help, Matthias and I wouldn’t have been able to have our wedding."
"It’s been my duty from the start to reveal all of Fransisca’s crimes. If only I had done it sooner, you and Matthias wouldn’t have had to divorce."
Victoria shook her head quickly. "This isn’t your fault. But I really appreciated Matthias’s plan back then. If he hadn’t filed for divorce, we probably wouldn’t be married today."
"I hope your wedding goes smoothly this time." Lena took a moment to push a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thanks for introducing me to Marcel, too. He’s a really funny guy."
"Women! Can you please not be so excessive? Don’t you have any pity for the newlyweds?" Ansel rebuked as he entered the bridal chamber with Marcel, Sawyer, and Matthias.
Meanwhile, Matthias and Victoria exchanged glances with shy smiles. Finally, they could look at each other, something they hadn’t been allowed to do since waking up. Now, they considered the world theirs alone.
Not only was Matthias amazed by the beauty of the bride, the two men also stared at her until they became addicted, making their bodies even hotter with jealousy.
"Can you two stop staring at my wife like that?" Matthias protested in an annoyed tone.
Ansel immediately grabbed his girlfriend’s hand and swung it. "Don’t worry, I still want to be Laura’s boyfriend. I’m just a little sad. I wish Victoria had worn this wedding dress for me back then."
Victoria smiled kindly at her ex-fiancé. "Ansel, a bride, actually becomes even more beautiful when she marries the right man. If I were to marry you now, I wouldn’t necessarily be able to show off my current beauty."
Matthias nodded, touching his wife’s shoulder. "I’m also very happy to see Victoria marry the right man. But that doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. You’re just not a good fit."
Sawyer also put his arm around his girlfriend’s shoulders tightly. "I’m sure when I marry Jennifer, she’ll be just as beautiful as Victoria."
Jennifer lowered her head, trembling, and felt the sleeve of her lover’s jacket. This was the first time Sawyer had given such a strong signal since their relationship began. Would they be able to marry peacefully this time without facing any more obstacles?
Matthias waved his right hand nimbly. "Why don’t you guys go out first? I still want to talk to my wife now."
"You ingrate!" Sawyer snapped, turning around. "Okay, the event’s about to start anyway. Jennifer and I are going to find a place to sit."
Ansel also didn’t want to be left behind in showing off his affection for his girlfriend. "I can’t wait for your wedding, either. Laura and I will be waiting for you at the venue."
Now only the husband and wife remained in the room. Matthias stared at his wife, who looked like a true princess, unblinking. He led her to sit on the sofa, embracing her curvy body lovingly.
"Matty, do I really look that beautiful right now? All our friends are overreacting today."
Matthias smiled happily. "Yes, you’re so beautiful now. You look perfect today. In fact, I wish we had a wedding party every day."
Victoria stroked the back of her husband’s hand slowly. "This is all thanks to you choosing me as your life partner."
"Since before the truth or dare game, I had already decided to choose you as my wife."
Victoria’s heart swelled even more at her husband’s declaration of love. "Me too. If I didn’t want you, during that game, I would have slapped you across the face without hesitation."
