Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Prewedding Escape
When it came to wedding preparations, Matthias was certainly no slouch or joke. Even though Victoria always told him there was no need for an extravagant wedding, Matthias still felt something was missing. After all, they were only doing a pre-wedding photoshoot, and it had to be done abroad. Matthias sent his trusted photographer to accompany them all the way, covering all travel expenses, hotel costs, and other accommodations.
Matthias has always wanted to have his pre-wedding photos taken in Switzerland. He loves the beautiful mountain views, which calm his mind. Victoria also loves vacationing in Switzerland, but her dream never came true. Since having Matthias in her life, she has been incredibly happy and grateful for the opportunity to vacation in her dream country.
It just so happens that it’s spring in Switzerland, so the air is quite cool throughout the year. Upon arrival, they only made a brief stop at the resort to drop off their belongings. Afterward, they began exploring the sights in their wedding attire, which they had already tried on at Clara’s boutique.
One of the tourist attractions they had been eager to visit was Iseltwald, known as a romantic village in Switzerland. Upon arriving, Victoria’s eyes lit up at the crystal clear lake. Her right hand enthusiastically held her beloved husband’s hand.
"Matty, it turns out this lake is very beautiful when seen in person."
Matthias smiled broadly, his lips parting. "So, you won’t complain if I go overboard with inviting you to a photoshoot in Switzerland?"
"Actually, I still want to protest. But I’ll forget about it for now since you’ve invited me to visit this beautiful place. It reminds me of a Korean drama I watched a long time ago."
"I really liked that drama too. Especially since the male lead can play the piano." Matthias kissed the back of his wife’s hand. "I could be like that male lead if you want."
"You don’t need to act like the male lead because you are more perfect than him. Just be yourself, I like you very much."
"Hearing what you just said, I’m even more confident in being your life partner." His hand slowly stroked his wife’s head.
"Matthias, by the way, when are you guys ready to pose?" the male photographer protested with a gloomy look.
Matthias burst out laughing, putting his arm around his wife’s shoulders. "Sorry, you must be jealous of us, Callum."
Callum shook his head as he watched a woman adjusting the camera. "It’s a good thing I brought my wife with me. Otherwise, I’d feel like a single man."
"Don’t worry, after we do the photoshoot, you guys can go on a date wherever you want."
"Okay, I’m going to take your picture now. Could you please stand a little bit off-center? You won’t be able to see the entire lake in the photo."
Matthias and Victoria took the initiative to shift their positions following the instructions of the renowned photographer, who is also Matthias’s friend. Naturally, their various intimate poses made Callum and his wife even more envious, watching this married couple look like they’re in a Korean drama.
The photo shoot had been going on around the village for an hour. Satisfied and exhausted, Matthias invited his wife to sit and relax by the lake, gazing at the calm waters and shady trees.
Victoria remained transfixed by the beauty of the lake, resting her head on her husband’s shoulder. Her body was now wrapped in his suit, which, as usual, smelled of his distinct perfume.
"Tory, I was thinking about this silly thing earlier. What if there was a piano on the dock at this lake?"
"Impossible, that only happens in Korean dramas. But if it did exist, would you really want to play the piano for me?"
Matthias nodded, staring intently at his wife. "I really want to play the piano for you. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it for you."
"We’ve been busy preparing for the wedding lately, so you certainly haven’t had time. Besides, I’m not angry just because of this." Her right hand slowly stroked her husband’s head. "The important thing is that you’ve granted my wish now."
"Actually, I’m still curious. Why did you always complain about me planning to take you to a photoshoot here? But now you actually really like it."
"I take back what I said earlier. If I had turned you down back then, I would have regretted it so much."
"If you refuse my invitation, I can take you out when you want to travel."
Her eyes widened at her husband’s unexpected words. "But aren’t we busy working right now? You’re busy developing a new housing project, while I’m busy managing two companies."
"It’s okay. We all need to take a break every now and then. Aren’t you tired of working all the time?"
"I admit I’ve been really tired lately. But thanks to you taking me to this peaceful place, I love you even more." Her lips landed on his cheek. "Thank you, my husband."
Matthias pursed his lips and pointed to his own. "It seems you’re still not getting enough."
Victoria looked around for a moment with a shy smile. "Aren’t you embarrassed to be seen by Callum?"
"Why are we embarrassed? Didn’t we just kiss during the photoshoot?"
"But actually we only did it for a short time."
Matthias pushed his lips further, making Victoria even more unable to contain her own desires. "Okay, as you wish, I’ll hold off until bedtime."
Of course, Victoria was just being pretentious. She immediately kissed her husband deeply on the lips, slowly stroking his broad back. Their gentle movements conveyed the tranquil lake view and the peaceful atmosphere of the village.
If only time could stop for a moment, they would have enjoyed this moment longer. Victoria, in particular, regretted complaining several times that they were shooting the photoshoot as if they were on their honeymoon.
Satisfied enough with the long kiss, Victoria slowly released her lips while hugging her husband tightly.
"I can’t wait to travel to many tourist spots with you in Switzerland."
His lips landed on her forehead. "Me too. Surely you’ll really enjoy looking at the night sky before sleep. I’m sure you won’t want to go back to our hometown."
