Chapter 595: Chapter 105 Moving the Battlefield
Aske sat outside the church, watching the workers hastily repair the surrounding damaged buildings, all caused by the recent anomaly of the Spiritual Tree.
Calculating carefully, the whole team would soon achieve the “Law Firming” milestone, and everything was proceeding according to his methodical plan.
Sigrdrifa, Thira, and Peggy, whose correspondent Laws were “Extinction,” “Heavenly Disaster,” and “Death,” respectively. Similar to their ominous names, these Law Skills were mainly oriented towards dealing damage.
“Extinction” lent itself to consistent, stable output, “Heavenly Disaster” was more about extensive AOE, and “Death” specialized in short-term burst DPS.
Therefore, these three ladies would become the main damage dealers of the team in the new era.
Medea and Nora, paired with the Laws “Manipulation” and “Evolution.”
Both leaned towards support and control. However, “Manipulation” essentially meant applying debuffs to enemies, while “Evolution” involved buffing allies.
Then there were Miel and Mia, the underage girl duo, associated with the Laws of “Fate” and “Black Hole.”
Their role in the team was to provide tactical support. “Fate” excelled at massively altering the battlefield, imposing advantageous conditions for our side or disadvantageous ones for the enemy; “Black Hole” was for teleporting movement, conveniently providing full-field support to allies or sudden ambushes on enemies.
Lastly, there were Eleanor and Aske himself, wielding the Laws “Will” and “War.”
The “Will” Law was probably the only one in the whole team that wasn’t considered a “Rare Law” or a “Compound Law” and was far inferior to the four main Transcendent Laws. Yet, due to the presence of the Unyielding Holy Sword, this Law could aptly amplify the range, duration, and power of the Holy Sword in all aspects.
So Eleanor could become a superb tank indeed. When an enemy’s attack came, first, use the Will Armor Skill to unfold the light screen, then “pop” add a Holy Sword State, and thus, an invincible Will Iron Curtain would be formed.
It was to take the defensive function to the ultimate extreme.
As for Aske’s own “War” Law, being the weakest among the four main Superior Laws, “weak” because it was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Conceptual Weapons, Ambush, Plunder, and the subsequent Rebellion and Final Battle, it encompassed support, damage, and control—a bit of everything.
But in terms of support, it was no match for “Evolution,” in control, it was inferior to “Manipulation,” and in output, it was far behind “Death.” Such a Law, which was a little bit of everything but specialized in nothing, meant that the corresponding Transcendent’s role in the team was best described by a professional term we call “leader.”
Ah, once they all step into the threshold of Demigod, perhaps in the final battle with the Bronze Dragon, I will just command from the back, letting them resolve all problems up front for me.
As Aske was cheerfully pondering this, he saw Thira and Mia come out from visiting the Great Cathedral ahead and, turning around, they entered another chapel with enthusiasm, like first-time pilgrim tourists who had come to the Ratlan Palace residence.
On the other hand, inside the script.
Nora carefully manipulated her Spiritual Body to possess and infiltrate the lock mechanism of the sluice gate.
Thus, the devices seemed to suddenly possess Spirituality and Life, as large bolts automatically withdrew, rotary locks turned to their corresponding positions, and spring latches popped open.
Once all the mechanisms were unlocked, the sluice gate opened a small crack. The Spiritual Body swiftly drifted in through the gap, then the gate quickly closed again.
Inside was a spacious hall. Compared to the containment facility for the Source Tree, this hall wasn’t very tall, but it was exceptionally wide.
In the very center stood a silhouette, seemingly a deceased Knight, his body silently standing in place, propped up by a sword. Countless bullets, swords, and axes pierced through its armor, making it resemble a porcupine.
Nora didn’t rashly command her Spiritual Body to move forward but found the corresponding documentation on a nearby shelf.

Mobile Battlefield.
All entry requests must be approved by the authority of a Cardinal or higher.
The Movable Battlefield was the remnant of a Transcendent of War Law who had met their demise. Its appearance was that of a Knight who had died in battle, with traces of gunpowder explosions, sword penetrations, and axe wounds on the armor.
X-ray examination had confirmed that the flesh within the armor had also sustained corresponding injuries from the attacks that caused these marks, but the cause of the Demigod’s death had yet to be determined.
The discovery location and time are [Data Erased].
Within a radius of 10-27 meters (variable and gradually increasing over time) from the Knight’s position, there exists a permanent field of War Law Mutant influence, which cannot be neutralized by an Anti-Demon Magnetic Field.
Any extraneous entity, Spiritual Body, or Mind Body that enters the range of the mutation will encounter one of the following random Mutant phenomena:
1.The weakening or even loss of one’s own ability, including but not limited to “Sequential Ability,” “Law Skills,” “inherent attribute functions,” etc.
2.Discovery that the figure of the Knight has disappeared and is not traceable by any means; after this phenomenon ends, the Knight’s corpse reappears at the original location, and it’s impossible to confirm whether it had left or used some method to shield itself from observation.
3.Encounter with special attacks from unknown sources, including but not limited to weapon damage, ability damage, and environmental damage.
4.Partial structural Loss of Control and destruction, such as one’s hands suddenly refusing to obey and attempting to strangle oneself, or Sequential Ability activating and trying to harm oneself.
5.Inability to leave the Mutant range, and except for attacking the Knight’s corpse, incapable of any non-warlike actions.
…
Nora was focusing intently on reading the materials when she suddenly heard a squeaking friction noise behind her.
She was so startled she almost jumped out of her skin and quickly spun around, only to see that the Knight’s corpse had somehow turned to face her Spiritual Body.
Almost simultaneously, Nora realized that her “Spirit Ability” seemed to have weakened somewhat.
Then, a large number of Spiritual Bodies emerged from the corners of the entire room, beginning to attempt attacks on the Spiritual Body Nora was controlling.
Nora hurriedly maneuvered it to dodge, but there were too many of them, and soon the poor Spiritual Body was torn to shreds by the others. As it dissipated, Nora also lost her visual observation of that room.
Nora: …
From her understanding of Aske’s War Law, she had guessed that her Spiritual Body Ability had likely been “plundered.”
Therefore, Nora could only summon another Spiritual Body and then retraced the original route back to the steel gate room, locking all the bolts and locks.
After completing these tasks, she silently noted the location of this door in the corridor.
Hm, the door led to a dead end, and there was significant danger there.
After filling in a part of the map in her mind, Nora continued to control the Spiritual Body, turning to the doors next to the corridor for exploration.
Behind the second door, which was ajar, lay a long, straight corridor. The walls were made of a silver-white metallic panel with almost no visible welding marks, as if the whole corridor had been cast in one go.
At the end of the corridor was still a massive metal gate, but it seemed to be made of the same silver-white metallic material, matching the surrounding walls.
On the gate, in the same font and size as the neighboring letters, were two lines etched:
