Chapter 380: Chapter 380: Kissed by My Wife!
Cora Ginger was chattering excitedly like a bird just released from its cage, bringing joy to Isabella Weaver’s mood.
Shiely Morrison was quite fond of her, pulling her aside for a chat, and the two of them managed to heat up the atmosphere considerably.
Harry Hunter arranged the most luxurious room for Shiely Morrison, spacious and comfortable, filled with plants beneficial to the body and mind. There was also a pair of beautiful birds on the balcony, and the sanatorium sent a pure white cat to keep Shiely Morrison entertained.
However, one Cora Ginger was worth ten birds and eight cats; Shiely Morrison didn’t need the animals to keep herself entertained anymore.
Isabella Weaver sat on the sofa holding the kitten, listening to the two chatting away while petting the kitten’s fur.
The sanatorium was evidently quite wealthy, having raised the cat to be very beautiful, with glossy and smooth fur, and even its nails were trimmed neatly.
She was teasing the kitten with great interest when her phone rang in her bag.
She took it out and answered it, with Alexander Parker’s voice coming through.
"Cousin, I’m back at the hospital. Where are you? Is Aunt Morrison not coming to the hospital?"
"Don’t call me anymore in the future!"
Isabella Weaver hung up with a "snap." It was because of him that she had a fight with Harry Hunter!
Her lips were swollen from Harry Hunter’s kiss!
She had just been teased by Shiely Morrison about how they were a passionate young couple and that she’d be embracing a grandchild soon!
However, she also bit Harry Hunter’s lip. She wondered how he would explain that to others later?
Harry Hunter had already returned to the police station, and the chief was taken aback when he saw him: "Young Master Hunter, your lips..."
"Kissed by my wife, do you have a problem with that?"
"No, no!"
The chief lowered his head, silently cursing to himself, wondering who would be so shameless to flaunt their spouse like this!
When others encounter such things, they hide it, but he was afraid others didn’t know, shouting it out loud!
"Young Master Hunter, please take a seat. I’ll have our best detective come and walk you through the recent cases."
The chief’s face showed pride: "Natalie, come in!"
"Chief, Young Master Hunter."
Natalie Niles greeted them, her face marred by acid burns which had scabbed over, detracting from her original beauty.
The chief was quite surprised: "Natalie, what happened to your face?"
"It’s nothing, just a minor accident."
"No, no, you can’t just stay quiet with an injury! You insist on coming to work! I’ll give you three days off, go home and rest. After all, you’re the police station’s flower!"
Such a beautiful face, it would be such a pity if it were ruined.
The chief looked at her face, a hint of regret in his tone.
"Chief, my brother is a doctor. He said it’s okay to go out, no big issues."
Natalie glanced at Harry Hunter, suppressing her inner excitement, and said, "The station is short-staffed now, and I’m familiar with Young Master Hunter, so I’m the most suitable for these cases."
"Well... alright then!"
The chief finally nodded, realizing that besides Natalie Niles, no one else liked dealing with this Young Master Hunter. Everyone else avoided him, yet Natalie was eager and capable, a detective he was very satisfied with!
The chief left, leaving only Harry Hunter and Natalie Niles in the small office.
Natalie Niles sat down across from Harry Hunter, separated by a desk, and softly asked, "Which case does Young Master Hunter want to review first?"
Harry Hunter didn’t even lift his head: "Whatever."
He was here just to go through the motions, to confuse Austin Winters, so he could proceed with his next move unimpeded.
He wasn’t concerned about the cases; he was more worried about the fact that when he called Isabella Weaver earlier, her phone was busy!
Who was she talking to?
Alexander Parker?
