Chapter 182: Chapter 183: Let’s go to the cemetery.

Han Xi got out of bed without even changing clothes, took the coat Li Manman handed her, and left.

Jiang Dachuan at the door looked at Han Xi coming out, bewildered: "Ma’am, where are you going?"

Han Xi put on her trench coat and casually pulled her long hair out from the collar: "I’m going to the Lu Family’s old house. If Jing Han comes back, remember to call me."

"Ma’am, President Lu told me to ensure your safety when he left, you can’t go out like this."

"If you’re worried, you can come with me."

Han Xi’s tone was a bit anxious. No matter what, she had to go to the Lu Family’s old house. Waiting in the hospital was pure torture.

Jiang Dachuan took out his phone to consult Lu Jinghan, but the phone was turned off.

"Then I better accompany you, ma’am."

Although he had no idea what Lu Jinghan was doing today, seeing Han Xi’s worried look made Jiang Dachuan a bit uneasy as well.

Han Xi said nothing and, enduring the pain in her leg, got into the elevator with Li Manman, while Jiang Dachuan followed behind.

.......

The car stopped at the main gate of the Lu Family’s old house. After Han Xi explained her identity, the guard at the gate opened it.

The wound on Han Xi’s leg had only formed a thin scab, and with her constant movement, even that thin scab was torn, seeping blood.

Han Xi barely managed to suppress the excruciating pain in her leg, reached the door just as Housekeeper Li came out to meet her: "Young Madam, why are you here so late?"

The guard at the gate had just called Housekeeper Li, saying the young madam had arrived.

Han Xi pulled her open coat tighter, her clear eyes full of anxiety: "Uncle Li, is Jing Han here?"

"No, the Young Master left before noon."

Housekeeper Li leaned forward wanting to invite Han Xi inside, but was declined by Han Xi: "I won’t go in. Was there any incident at home today? I’m worried about Jing Han. I just called him and his phone was off."

Housekeeper Li frowned, hearing that the Young Master hadn’t returned yet naturally made him worried, especially since such an event had happened in the morning.

"It turns out that the car accident back then wasn’t an accident; it was all orchestrated by the Young Master’s second uncle. The Young Master originally intended to kill his second uncle himself, but considering the old master’s reputation, he only shot his uncle’s leg and then left."

Housekeeper Li sighed repeatedly. Having worked for the Lu Family his whole life, he felt particularly upset about such events occurring.

Han Xi’s heart trembled sharply. How could Lu Jinghan have a gun?

Li Manman beside her was also taken aback. She never expected such things to occur in a deeply secluded, large household like the Lu Family—a fratricide for inheritance?

It’s unbelievably absurd, feels like something only written in novels.

"Is Jing Han hurt?"

Han Xi’s hair was slightly tousled by the wind, and her clean, elegant face showed concern.

"The Young Master isn’t hurt, Young Madam please don’t worry. I’ll instruct everyone to go look for him immediately."

"No need, Uncle Li. I might know where Jing Han is now." With that, Han Xi limped away toward the car, pulling Li Manman along.

"Your leg can’t take more walking. Since Lu Jinghan is fine, we should head back to the hospital."

Continuing further, Li Manman was genuinely concerned Han Xi’s leg might be rendered useless.

"I’m fine."

Following this, Han Xi got into the car and instructed Jiang Dachuan in the driver’s seat: "Let’s go to the cemetery."
