Early the next morning, Li Manman was awakened from her deep sleep by the sound of her phone ringing. She fumbled with her eyes closed to find the phone on the bedside table and irritably pressed the answer button.
"Who is it so early in the morning, disturbing people’s dreams, without any sense of tact."
"It’s me, Lu Jinghan."
Lu Jinghan’s cool voice came through the phone, and Li Manman immediately woke up. She opened her eyes to check the screen’s note and indeed confirmed it was him.
Li Manman cleared her throat before speaking again, "Why are you calling me?"
"Could you come to the hospital to look after Xiao Xi for a while? I have something to go out for in a bit."
"Okay, I’ll get ready and head over right away."
Waking up early was never Li Manman’s strong suit, but she didn’t feel at ease leaving Han Xi alone in the hospital, so she had no choice but to muster the strength to get out of bed.
After yawning and freshening up, Li Manman drove to the hospital.
After hanging up, Lu Jinghan raised his hand to close the open window. Just moments ago, Han Xi insisted on having it open to air out the room, blushingly claiming she wanted fresh air.
Han Xi had noticed the room was filled with the lingering intimate and sentimental scent from the previous night’s encounters, using the airing out as an excuse.
Lu Jinghan was well aware of Han Xi’s little thoughts, holding back a smile and choosing not to expose her.
After finishing their meal, Li Manman arrived just in time. As soon as she entered the ward, she threw herself onto the sofa, "Alright, you can go, I’ll take care of Han Xi."
Lu Jinghan took a coat from the wardrobe and put it on, then walked over to Han Xi, "I might come back a bit late. Remember to call me if anything comes up."
"With Manman here accompanying me, don’t worry."
"Okay, then I’ll go first."
After Lu Jinghan pushed open the door and left the ward, he gave Jiang Dachuan a few instructions before leaving.

Housekeeper Li just stood still with a smile, only responsible for passing along the message, with no need to invite trouble upon himself.

Lu Jingwei also muttered under her breath, "I also have an appointment to go shopping with friends."

Old Sir Lu waved his hand and then got up, heading to the living room, unable to finish his meal, left feeling full of frustration.
"The eldest young master is back."
Housekeeper Li helped Old Sir Lu sit down on the sofa then hurriedly headed towards the door to welcome him.
