Bai Ye approached the Xenomorph and kicked it. After confirming it was no longer moving, he muttered, "It really has a weakness!"
The Xenomorph's head was an elongated oval, covered by a very sturdy carapace. It lacked a discernible neck, or rather, its neck was extremely short, making its head appear fused to its body. Bai Ye had pried open the Xenomorph's head and discovered that the lower part, near the body, was not covered by the carapace. Instead, it was a layer of viscous membrane. This allowed him to easily pierce the Xenomorph's body from this position, even reaching into its brain to attack it.
Bai Ye exclaimed that he had learned something new, and his collection of strange knowledge seemed to have increased. He mused that this weak point wasn't exactly easy to exploit. It was located at the back, and only a small area connected to the body, making it difficult to attack. He figured it would be easier to just throw a couple of talismans into the Xenomorph's mouth and blow it up. However, knowing the weakness was better than not knowing. He could potentially utilize it if the opportunity arose.
As Bai Ye pondered this, he went over to the Predator. He tapped the Predator's mask, but there was no reaction. He then looked at the wound on the Predator's abdomen. Its internal organs were exposed, and it was thoroughly dead.
"What the hell!" Bai Ye was speechless. What was this situation? He was inexplicably caught in the crossfire, and then inexplicably, the two instigators had killed each other. What was his role in all this?
Bai Ye shook his head and got up, continuing to walk forward. He felt the need to pick up the pace. The Facehuggers had already hatched and infested many people. Judging by the state of the corpses, with their chests ripped open, it meant a large number of Xenomorphs had already been born. Although nascent Xenomorphs weren't very powerful, they grew incredibly fast. After killing two or three people and absorbing nutrients, they could evolve into their adult forms. Therefore, as time passed, Bai Ye could imagine the research base being overrun with Xenomorphs.
Moreover, this was a vicious cycle: Xenomorphs continuously killed people, reproduced, and increased in numbers, leading to more deaths and further Xenomorph reproduction. Thus, before the situation worsened, he had to find the Predator Xenomorph, defeat it, and then leave the research base.
Bai Ye continued walking down the next corridor, his brow furrowing. The smell of blood was intense! He opened the room at the end of the corridor, and the smell of blood hit him like a wave. It was an entertainment room, complete with a small private cinema, a bar, some fitness equipment, and even a corner with several arcade machines. It was likely a place for the research team to relax and unwind. However, there were no bodies.
This made Bai Ye's frown deepen. If there were no bodies in the entertainment room, it meant the smell of blood was drifting from further away. The further the blood smell drifted, the greater the number of casualties, suggesting a massacre. Bai Ye didn't linger. He opened the door on the other side of the entertainment room and continued forward. As expected, the moment the door opened, the smell of blood became even more pronounced. Bai Ye glanced at the sign hanging in the corridor.
"Area A2?" Bai Ye was taken aback. "Isn't this where they called for everyone to gather on the broadcast? I remember it was the cafeteria!"
As he mused, Bai Ye reached the end of the corridor and opened the sliding door. In the next instant, a sea of corpses suddenly appeared before him. Beyond the door was the Area A2 cafeteria. The floor was littered with bodies, both human and beast-like. Blood had pooled almost everywhere in the cafeteria, and the strong smell of blood was mixed with a foul odor.
More importantly... standing around the corpses were over a dozen Predators, who were counting the bodies to ensure everyone was dead. Instantly, Bai Ye turned and fled without hesitation.
*Bang, bang...*
As Bai Ye turned and sprinted, two Predators fired their shoulder cannons. With a thunderous roar, the shoulder cannons hit the door, shattering the sliding door into pieces. The two Predators attempted to pursue, but a much larger Predator stopped them, gestured towards the surrounding corpses, and then personally chased into the corridor.
Meanwhile, Bai Ye ran at full speed. "Damn it, over a dozen Predators! What's the point of fighting? I'll just get beaten up."
Just then... a "buzzing" sound echoed from behind Bai Ye. He looked back and saw a metallic boomerang that had mysteriously appeared behind him, flying towards him at high speed. Bai Ye gauged its speed and decisively stopped. The boomerang was faster than he had anticipated. He couldn't outrun it!
"Ning Shuang, Ice Barrier!" Bai Ye decisively summoned his Ning Shuang sword. A wave of frost spread out, and an ice wall instantly rose from the ground. With a bang, the boomerang pierced the ice wall. However, the ice wall's obstruction caused the metallic boomerang to deviate significantly from its original trajectory. It whizzed past Bai Ye and embedded itself in the wall behind him.
But Bai Ye didn't even have a chance to catch his breath. With a *whoosh*, a fist shattered the ice wall and grabbed Bai Ye's clothes. *Bang!* The large hand yanked him backward, and Bai Ye crashed into the ice wall, shattering it. Stumbling, Bai Ye fell to the ground. He pushed off the ground and flipped to his feet, looking forward.
A Predator? Bai Ye was slightly stunned, then couldn't help but grin. He seemed to be underestimated! However, Bai Ye was pleased with this underestimation. A group of Predators would indeed be too difficult to handle. A single volley of shoulder cannon fire would be enough for Bai Ye to contend with, but if it was just one... who was afraid of whom!
Bai Ye charged forward, reaching the Predator and delivering a flying kick. *Clang!* The Predator raised its left arm, which had a rectangular piece of metal. Suddenly, a mechanical whirring sound was heard. The metal piece was composed of countless overlapping iron plates. As they spread outwards, the iron plates formed a circle, revealing a shield on its arm. Bai Ye's kick landed, causing the Predator's body to sway. It took half a step back to stabilize itself, indicating that their strength was not significantly different.
After taking the kick, the Predator, seizing the opportunity while Bai Ye was off-balance, extended its right hand forward, and the wrist blade on its wrist slashed towards Bai Ye. Bai Ye's pupils contracted. He suddenly formed his fingers into a claw and reached out.
"Dragon Claw Hand!" Bai Ye, mid-air, flicked his arm, evading the wrist blade while simultaneously grabbing the Predator's wrist!
