Chapter 411: No Sympathy Left
Cheng Anya went inside, leaving Ye Feimo alone in the garden. She had said what needed to be said and now it was up to him to think about it. After all these years and with a person he loved, the matter with Han Bi was no longer a big deal to him. She had kept it a secret from him for so long because she didn’t want him to be embarrassed. This son of hers was too proud and didn’t have the same flexibility as Ye Ningyuan, so she had always hidden it from him.
Now that he knew, it wouldn’t matter anymore.
Because of Han Bi’s own actions, she had ruined her beautiful image. What was left for Feimo was no longer the same her from seven years ago. She had brought this all on herself and had no one else to blame.
Ye Feimo ate a little and then left.
Ye San Shao didn’t ask him where he was going. Cheng Anya went to the study to video chat with Ye Ningyuan. The family would be reunited next month. She and the two of them needed to talk about the renovations. With them at home, it wouldn’t be so lonely, and there would be more people to give advice if something happened.
Ye Feimo drove to the Dragon Gate headquarters. Han Bi had been locked up for several days, with only a single lightbulb illuminating the room. She looked very haggard. Her hair was messy and uncombed, her clothes were wrinkled, and her face showed both fear and a forced calmness. She looked very pathetic.
Little Hei saw him arrive at the Dragon Gate headquarters and respectfully followed behind him. They had all heard about Ye Feimo’s situation. He wasn’t sure why he was there, and everyone was afraid to say too much, in case they pushed him over the edge.
After being in the dark for so many days, Han Bi was on the verge of losing her mind. She couldn’t believe that Ye Feimo was so cruel as to throw her in a place like this. The room was soundproofed, so her screams went unheard. She had yelled until her throat was hoarse, but no one had come. She hadn’t seen anyone except for when they brought her food and water. There was a toilet in the room, so she could handle her needs, but she had been alone in this almost-sealed room for nearly a week. She was going insane.
She didn’t even know what this place was. All she knew was that it belonged to the Ye family. She had been knocked out and brought here. When she woke up, she was in this room. But she recognized Little Hei. Seven years ago, when Ye Feimo was still a hoodlum at the Dragon Gate, Little Hei was one of his followers. So she figured that Ye Feimo was the one who had imprisoned her. It had to be. For the past few days, she couldn’t understand why. All she did was follow Du Yueying’s instructions to bring Wen Nuan to the coffee shop upstairs. She hadn’t done anything else. It had nothing to do with her.
She wasn’t stupid. Of course, she knew that after the incident, people would find out that she was involved. From the very beginning, Han Bi had wanted to distance herself from it. She hadn’t drugged Wen Nuan or done anything else. She had just brought her there. The rest had nothing to do with her. Even if they investigated, Ye Feimo had no proof that she did it, so she felt confident. After all, everything required evidence.
She never thought that if Ye San Shao believed you were guilty, he wouldn’t say anything. He would just throw you into a place that was worse than death.
When the door opened, Han Bi thought it was someone bringing her food. She kept her head down and didn’t pay attention. But after a long time, there was no sound, only a beam of light coming from the doorway.
She looked up and saw Ye Feimo standing in front of her.
He had lost a lot of weight. He was thinner than he was before he got married.
He had no energy, as if he had just gone through a major change. But his eyes were colder and more lifeless than before. They were empty of emotion, and they sent a chill down her spine. She couldn’t believe that Ye Feimo would look at her that way.
"Feimo..." A person’s instinct for survival makes them cling to anything that can help them escape their suffering. For Han Bi, Ye Feimo was that thing. "Feimo, let me out! Let me out! I didn’t do it. I really didn’t do it..."
Her voice was almost pleading. Tears streamed down her face, making her look pitiful and fragile. The pear blossoms on her beautiful face seemed to be crying. It was a sight that would make anyone feel sorry for her. Unfortunately, Ye Feimo’s heart was now as hard as iron.
"You and Du Yueying worked together to set up Wen Nuan and Fang Liucheng, didn’t you?" Ye Feimo asked coldly, ignoring Han Bi who was tightly holding his hand. He looked at the woman in front of him and only felt disgust.
He had once loved her so much that he couldn’t forget her even after seven years. Even though she had betrayed him, the impression she left on him was still beautiful. He was still willing to love her, as long as she was willing to look back at him.
But now, all the beautiful things had been shattered by her own hands.
After all, she was someone he had once loved. He had hoped that when he looked back, he would have some good memories. But now, there were none.
"No, it wasn’t me!" Han Bi denied. She would never admit it. Du Yueying wouldn’t be stupid enough to confess. She would never admit to Feimo that she and Du Yueying had worked together to frame Wen Nuan.
Feimo must hate her now.
He must.
"Feimo, you have to believe me. You have to believe me. I really didn’t frame Wen Nuan. I really didn’t. Can you please let me out?" Han Bi begged and cried. The last time she cried like this, he would have let her hug him and would have given her a gentle look.
He was never too cruel to her.
He would forgive her.
Ye Feimo shoved Han Bi away. "That’s enough. Stop acting. I thought that when you left me for fame and fortune, you at least had a little bit of sincerity for me. But it turns out there was nothing. You didn’t love me seven years ago. Maybe you did at one point, but you didn’t in the end. You even sold me out to Boss Jin. Han Bi, Boss Jin ruined so many boys back then. Did it ever occur to you that he might have ruined me too? Or did you just not care whether I lived or died?"
Han Bi’s face changed dramatically. She was caught off guard by Ye Feimo’s accusations. She mumbled to herself, "You... you know?"
"Did you think you could hide it forever?"
"No, it’s not like that." Han Bi’s tears fell even faster. "I really did love you, but how could I fight against Boss Jin? If I didn’t give you to him, he would have killed me. What could I do? But I really regretted it. I went to the Jingtian Bar that night. I wanted to stop you from going inside, but when I got there, Boss Jin had already gotten into an accident and was taken to the hospital. So I thought you might have been saved. Later, Boss Jin never said anything about you to me, and I thought that everything was fine. He had other pretty boys to play with, so I..."
Han Bi nervously grabbed Ye Feimo’s hand. "Feimo, I didn’t mean it. I really didn’t mean it. Please forgive me this one time."
