Chapter 1925: Chapter 1925: Capture
Watching the arrows soar and the golden and silver wings, although the wing colors are different, such formidable archery cannot belong to anyone else.
The few people in the squad exchanged glances, all feeling as if they were dreaming.
Li Yao is undoubtedly a legendary figure, both among NPCs and players, regardless of whether one likes him or not.
In the eyes of NPCs, Prairie Fire is a newcomer; among players, having played the game for less than a year, he has completely pulled ahead.
He has become a pivotal figure in the faction. If the Legion Commander of the Withered Sun merely grants authority to him within a certain race, making him a real power broker in the faction—
Then becoming the Grand Lord of Light and Shadow City has truly established him as a faction bigwig. As time passes, he will truly become one of the faction’s decision-makers.
"It’s really Prairie Fire. It seems like I just made a fool of myself, said things I shouldn’t have, and embarrassed myself," the female mage in the team covered her face.
"Don’t worry, you praised him for half a day, said you were willing to offer yourself, but he didn’t even flinch at the bow of the ship, ignoring you completely. You don’t have to be embarrassed," the annoyed player continued sarcastically.
"You... you just wait," the female mage seethed.
Though others said nothing, they all looked up at the sky battle; being able to witness Prairie Fire’s combat somewhat compensated for their regret at not being able to participate in the great battle.
"Keke, such a powerful male. You’re just what I need; my offspring should have this strong lineage."
The faction-level harpy’s gaze locked onto Li Yao. Seeing Li Yao charging up, arrows like dragons, her eyes sparkled instantly.
She changed her hands, her body seemingly shrouded in Wind Thunder, and seeing the endless thunder couldn’t approach Li Yao, being drawn by Steel Arrow, a lightning javelin appeared in her hand instantly, and her figure darted downward.
"I’m not interested in being your child’s dad."
Seeing the sudden figure and javelin, Li Yao had no intention of dodging, as the Mechanical Avatar had already struck out.
In his hand was a glowing Quel’Sela, as the lightning-entwined javelin and moonlit snowy greatsword clashed, lightning raged, snow swirled.
Bang...
The two weapons collided fiercely, and the Mechanical Avatar’s form momentarily dropped a notch, but the Valkyrie Wing shook, dispersing the force to stabilize in midair.
Countless arcs of electricity sparked around him, but these only rampaged on the surface of the Avatar, even being drawn to the moonlit Valkyrie Wing, not harming Li Yao but rather seeming to charge the Mechanical Avatar.
The harpy let out a painful wail, witnessing her lightning javelin explode into endless thunder, feathers flying off her and her form thrown backward.
She slammed into the barrier with the sound of breaking bones, spurting blood.
"What monster are you?" the harpy screamed in terror, knowing her rank was higher than Li Yao’s; both sides could feel it.
Yet the opponent’s power was so wild, beyond her capability to resist. If not for her Wind-Thunder Orb absorbing and mitigating most of the force, she’d have been crushed against the barrier, her bones shattered entirely. She couldn’t fathom why the opponent’s small stature possessed such immense and violent power.
"What, about to leave already? Weren’t you about to abduct me?" The Mechanical Avatar darted up again, aiming at the harpy.
Meanwhile, Li Yao’s real body continued to unleash arrows wildly, drawing the rampaging thunder to those Steel Arrows.
AH!!!!!!!!!!!!
An excruciating scream erupted from the harpy’s mouth, visually spreading violent sound waves.
Even Li Yao and the Mechanical Avatar felt a roaring in their ears, their minds going momentarily blank.
Let alone the others, especially the players who, following the scream, clutched their heads in agony, rolling on the ground, with blood constantly flowing from their ears.
"Death howl, damn it." The Mechanical Avatar and Li Yao’s real body immediately shifted targets, continuously hunting other harpies.
Because with those below incapacitated, other harpies ramped up their slaughter; though most below were players, Li Yao couldn’t stand idly by.
The faction-level harpy seized this chance to fly out of a hole in the barrier.
She shot Li Yao a resentful glare: "The Lord of Light and Shadow is indeed remarkable; I’ve learned that this time, but be careful, I will come again."
Now heavily injured, with many broken bones, she needed to retreat and heal.
"Stay!"
Zzzraa!!!
A massive light sword dropped from the sky, fiercely striking downwards.
The harpy shrieked, forming a shield to envelop herself, but was still struck down into the barrier hole, landing on the ground.
With a boom, half her body sank into the rocks below.
Fruit Knight also appeared, kneeling on one knee, enveloped in the light of Holy Shield, yet her ears kept bleeding, showing great pain.
"You can’t keep me."
The harpy didn’t care about anything else, fleeing desperately, knowing Li Yao might attack her, ignoring other harpies, and she’d be unable to escape at that point.
Clatter!
As soon as she took flight, a chain coiled around her waist, the enchantress appearing, despite bleeding ears, fixed her chain to the ground.
It was then that the harpies inside had been slaughtered by Li Yao.
The barrier in the sky was repaired, while the harpies outside shrieked in defiance, then decisively turned to fly away.
Clatter!
"Since there’s no escape, don’t blame me for going on a killing spree."
The harpy broke the chain, realizing escape was impossible with the barrier fixed, but she was vicious enough—if there’s no way to escape, she’ll slaughter till the end.
"Sorry, you don’t have the chance."
A large moon appeared behind Li Yao’s head, emitting silver radiance. Groups of silver rune cages materialized on the harpy, instantly stripping her of all power, unable even to move mana, rendering her wings sealed and immobile.
"Moon God, you once abandoned us; why do you favor this damned city," the harpy hissed venomously.
"Without the Moon God, this world would face countless powerful enemies. You are truly ignorant," Li Yao said, landing gently below: "Take her to the interrogation room."
Starfire acted quickly, escorting her away down the streets with many Starfire members.
"Is this Starfire? So powerful," the squad restored to normal, despite their extreme disarray, whereas a small Ogre remained unharmed within a Priest’s protective Shield...
