Chapter 220: We can take my ship.
"Ahhh!" The young lady screamed as an assassin nearly cut off her head.
Kai, being Prince Charming and a knight in shining armor, came to her aid, pulling the assassin away with his power and stabbing him in the heart.
"Protect the Young Lady!" Seaweed shouted.
Kai revived Karel’s body as he held on to his soul. He didn’t do this to be nice, he did this so he could he an extra punching bag.
"Go fight." Kai kicked him in the back and forced him into combat even though he was still going through the shock of being dead.
"T-Thank you." The young lady said, blushing at him.
"You have a name, beautiful?"
"Abigail Callaway." She answered
"Well, Abigail, just sit tight, we’ll make sure you get to your destination safe and sound." Kai slammed his fist into the head of an assassin who tried to sneak up behind him.
"Hahaha! This is what I’m talking about! Action!" Amaya wasted no time cutting down assassins, hopping on the walls and ceilings to cut down her foes. One tried to match her speed, but she easily embarrassed him, cutting off his legs and crushing his spine.
"It’s too cramped in here! I can barely use my bow." Kyana was using a crossbow instead of her bow. Thankfully, her crossbow was magical, so she didn’t need to spend a lot of time reloading it. But she preferred using her actual bow instead of this.
"Get over it. At least you can use your weapon. If I used my staff, this entire place would blow up." Gwen grabbed the neck of an assassin, snapping it and throwing the body at another one. She followed up by slashing both of them in the chest, killing the second assassin.
"This is why it’s good to have a wand, Gwen. It’s so convenient." Nadya waved her wand, creating barriers around the heads of multiple assassins. Then, she compressed them, swashing their heads.
Seaweed and his men were taken aback by how skilled Kai and his girls were. Truthfully, he expected them to be decent, but not this good. A smile formed on his face as he now had hope that he could succeed in his mission, his true mission.
"Hahahaha! Who cares about the damage? Let’s just have fun!" Sasha slammed her hammer against the floor, completely destroying the second floor of the inn.
"I like the way you think, Sasha!" Kai followed up with a blast at the first floor of the inn, blowing it up. He then used telekinesis to pull all of his girls and his clients out of the way.
Kai did a head count and nodded after seeing that everyone was there. "Alright, everyone, time for a fast, fun, and exciting retreat. Where is your ship?"
"Our ship is docked at the harbor." Seaweed pointed south.
"Okay, lead us there. We’ll be fighting along the way. Abigail, stand close to me." Kai tapped her forehead, and all of his protection spells surrounded her body.
"Amazing!"
"Cool, isn’t it? Now, let’s go."
Everyone ran as fast as they could toward the harbor. Assassins chased them as they retreated. Some were running behind them, some were on buildings, while others were flying.
"I got this!" Gwen took in a deep breath, and the last things the assassins saw before being fried by her breath attack were her sharp dragon teeth.
Unfortunately, her attack only handled the assassins chasing after them on the ground. The other two sets were still after them.
"Watch out!" Kai pushed everyone forward as a large lightning strike struck the ground in front of them.
"Hand the girl over." An assassin floating in the sky demanded.
"Will you pay me overtime for doing so?" Kai asked
"I’ll take your life, how about that?"
"Wow, you suck at business. I’ll pass up the offer." Kai grabbed his head, appearing in front of the man in an instant.
"This is how you use lightning." Thunder rumbled in the clouds, and a huge lightning bolt struck both of them, doing nothing to Kai but frying the assassin.
"You’re so powerful! Why are you a mercenary? You can work at my mother’s tower with that kind of potential. All of you can." Abigail still couldn’t wrap her head around their strength and thought they were wasting their talents.
"For fun. When you’re as powerful as we are, little things interest you. Politics? Hell nah. A high position in an organization? No fun. Being a king or queen? Lame. True power comes from not having to listen to others while they DON’T have the power to do anything about it. That’s us."
Abigail took those words to heart. She liked how Kai thinks and wanted to adopt that mindset.
"Then why are you working for us?" She asked
He smiled. "Because we can. How else will we have fun?"
"Hey, Kai, check this out!" Amaya started spinning her sword like a fan. The blade generated a large storm of wind, and she even added wind magic to make it even stronger. Then, she slammed her blade into the ground, and blades of wind flew off in multiple directions, easily cutting down dozens of assassins in an instant.
"Fucking awesome!"
"Yes! Haha! I can use my bow!" Kyana was running on the rooftops, using her bow to drop the assassins who chased her. "You’re dead. You’re dead. You’re dead. I see you hiding in the shadow, boom, you’re dead too. How about all of you die?" She rained down a volley of arrows onto the assassins, killing them all.
"We’re almost there! Just a little further!" Seaweed shouted.
"Kai, wipe them out!" Nadya shouted as she grouped all of the assassins up in one massive barrier that she concocted. She hovered the barrier in the air so he could get a clear shot.
"Got it!" Raw destruction gooped in his hand, forming a javelin. He aimed with his left hand and threw with his right. The moment the javelin touched the barrier, it exploded like fireworks.
"Best...Job...Ever!" Amaya shouted.
"We’ve made it! Quickly, everyone, get on-"
BOOOOOOM
The ship they were supposed to take blew up right before their eyes.
Nadya stepped forward and shielded everyone from the explosion and debris.
"O-Our ship!" The guards shouted.
"Those bastards!" Seaweed looked around and saw the workers charge toward them.
"The workers were assassins!" He shouted.
"Don’t worry, we’ll take my ship." Kai threw his ship far into the water, then grabbed everyone, except Karol, and took off into the air.
"AHHHHHHHHH!!"
"We’re gonna plummet into the water!"
"I can’t swim!"
As they were close to hitting the water, Kai’s ship grew to its full size, and he gently landed them all.
"HEY! WHAT ABOUT ME!" Karol shouted.
"YOU GOT THIS, I BELIEVE IN YOU!" Kai shouted back.
"YOU MOTHER-" A blow dart flew into his neck, killing him instantly.
