Chapter 207: The Dragon Leader
"T-The hero?! What is the hero doing here?!" One of the guards was too shocked to do anything. He just stood there, staring at Kai as if he were an illusion.
"Dude! Stop staring at him!" The other guard said, turning to Gwen. "You may enter. But you’ll have to head to Leader’s home first."
Gwen shrugged. "We can do that."
The guards nodded, then removed the fog that surrounded them, revaling the entire Dagon Valley.
The place was, indeed, a Valley. There was an entire civilization that spanned as far as the eye could see, surrounded by two tall mountains on each side. Trees grew to an astonishing height, towering over any tree that Kai had ever seen.
Dragons were soaring through the air, spreading their wings, taking their first flight, or simply having fun. Some were even returning home to their caves in the mountainside.
Down below, where the people lived, was a massive village with thousands of people going about, having fun, playing around, and simply enjoying their way of life.
Kai spotted people learning, sparring, and even riding dragons and wyverns. Everyone looked free, not shackled to the life of the outside world, and could live the way they wished here in this hidden valley.
It was a beautiful place.
"Whoa! And you wanted to leave this place?" Kyana asked, looking at Gwen like she was crazy.
"It’s all sunshine and rainbows from your point of view, but for me, it was hell."
"I dunno, it doesn’t look like hell to me." Sasha teased
"Whatever, let’s just get going." Gwen flew down to the surface, and the rest of them followed.
People and Dragons looked up to see who was entering their home, but after sensing Gwen, one of their own, they turned a blind eye to the five strangers who were behind her.
"The Chief’s home is there." Gwen pointed to a massive wooden house that sat at the end of the village. It was decorated in animal fur, bone jewelry, and red stripes that encompassed the entire building.
When they landed, the Chief was already expecting them.
"Enter." A feminine voice called out to them.
Gwen opened the door, leading everyone inside. Once face-to-face with the chief, she got down on her hands and knees, showing her respect.
"I, Gwendolyn Dragonborne, greet the Chief."
The others followed her example, not wanting to be rude.
"Oh, please, get up, sweetie, you know I don’t care for that pishposh. Besides, you’re like a daughter to me."
"Thank you, Aunty Josslyn." Gwen smiled, taking a seat on the floor, and encouraged the others to do the same.
Kai was taken aback by her beauty. She had purple hair that slightly turned pink toward the ends, pink eyes, two horns on her head that curled backward, a tail that was sitting on her lap, and wings that extended from her back.
She was wearing what looked to be latex, showing off her curves and bust. She didn’t have the biggest boobs or the fattest ass, but she was one of the sexiest women Kai had ever seen.
"Fufu, it seems like your male friend can’t stop ogling me." Josslyn chuckled
"If you want, I can do a lot more than just stare at you. I’m pretty good with my hands...and another part of my body." Yeah, Kai was flirting with the chief of the Dragon Valley, and he had no problem doing so.
"Sweet, but I’m way too old for you." She winked
"I like older ladies." Kai resoinded.
"I’m 5,000 years old, sweetheart."
"I think you mean, 5,000 years young. And that, beautiful, is even better."
At this point, Josslyn started licking her lips and eyed Kai up and down. He tail left her lap, its tip wagging slightly as she sat up even straighter to have the sun shine on her face to ’enhance’ her womanly charm.
Gwen punched him in the stomach. "Kai! That’s enough! Stop flirting with the chief! She’s not into you."
"Well, I wouldn’t go that far." After their little conversation, Josslyn was already interested in Kai. Not sexually, but interested enough to maybe get to that point.
"Ugh, whatever."
"Hehe, sorry, dear. So, why don’t you tell me the reason why you came back home? I’m sure it’s not because you’ve missed this place."
Gwen took a deep breath, clearing her mind. Then, she started to dragonify.
Josslyn’s eyes lit up upon seeing Gwen transform. She knew that one of the reasons Gwen left was because she was an outcast, so to see her tap into her lineage really made Josslyn proud and happy.
"This is amazing, sweetheart! I’m so proud of you. And you’ve awakened a dragon class! Just wait until I tell your parents about this, they’ll be excited!"
"Heh, yeah, my parents. They’ll probably find some excuse to belittle me like usual. But I’m not a little kid anymore, and I don’t care for their love or acceptance. I just want to show them that I was able to make it through to the other side without them."
While it was saddening to hear, Josslyn accepted Gwen’s stance. She wouldn’t force her to build a relationship with her parents or siblings, and just wanted her to be happy.
"So, how did you manage to awaken your class?" Josslyn figured that if she could learn the reason for Gwen’s late bloom, she could avoid other cases like these in the future.
"It’s because my family has every dragon bloodline. My body didn’t know what to choose, so my body was conflicted. I had to consume the heart of a drake, wyvern, and dragon to evolve to this point."
"Amazing. To think the solution was so simple."
"Yeah. If it wasn’t for Kai, then I wouldn’t have figured it out. He’s the best."
"Sure am. I am the son of a God by the way." He smirked
"Son of a god?" Josslyn asked.
"Really? You’re still on that?" Kyana shook her head.
Amaya smacked her face, feeling embarrassed for everyone.
"Sorry, Aunty Jossyln, he’s kind of dumb sometimes. Kai says that he’s so awesome because his father taught him extraordinary abilities, so he says that his dad is a god."
"Heh, I see. Well, if we have amazing parents like that, I can see why you would think they would be a god." Josslyn found Kai more and more amusing.
"By the way, have you seen my daughter? I haven’t heard from her in a month."
"Sonya? Yeah. She stood me up on a date." Kai pouted.
"Fufu, that sounds like her. I’m happy she is doing well then. Standing someone like you up for a date, though? I could never." She purred.
"I’d love to take the time and explore each other’s interests, if you know what I mean."
"Oh, I do."
"Stop! Eughh! Please, stop!" Gwen got up and left the cabin, dragging Kai with her.
