Chapter 274: Chapter 274: A Bit Chubbier, More Comfortable to Hold

"Yo, yo, yo, did I say something wrong?" Sophie rubbed the spot on her head where she got hit, letting out a weird cry, "Or did I hit a sore spot for you?"

Summer Sutton was once again at a loss for words.

This brat!

What sore spot is she talking about?

"Eat your dinner!" Summer gritted her teeth, squeezing out each word, while piling a lot of food onto his plate, "Eat more, so you can grow up and hold girls!"

"I don’t need to, I’m in better shape than you. Lots of girls in school like me, unlike you. Probably only my brother’s aesthetics could appreciate that." Sophie gave her a sideways look, clearly disdainful.

Every word he said was a jab at Summer.

Summer was so annoyed she almost picked up her chopsticks to hit him again.

Whenever Summer and Sophie were at the Walyon Family dining table, it always got particularly lively.

Adrian quietly listened to their conversation, his actions of eating coming to a halt.

He glanced at Sophie with indifferent eyes and casually tossed a sentence, "Isn’t it enough that your sister-in-law has me liking her?"

Sophie was choked by his comment, silent for a long while without being able to respond.

Indeed, Summer is already married, just having Adrian like her is enough.

Anyone else liking her doesn’t concern her.

Not getting the upper hand this time, Sophie pouted, buried his head, and obediently focused on eating.

Adrian leisurely continued to serve Summer more food.

While serving food, he suddenly said, "Actually, Sophie wasn’t wrong either."

His gaze slanted toward her meaningfully, he added slowly, "Women should gain a bit more weight, more comfortable to hold."

His voice lingered a bit.

Everyone at the Walyon Family dining table was present; was this public flirting?

Summer felt extremely embarrassed, her face flushed crimson.

"Alright, hurry up and eat. Don’t feel pressured, even if you don’t gain weight, your husband won’t mind." Adrian added more food to her plate, urging her.

Their interaction seemed to everyone else like they were publicly showing off their affection.

Gina Sutton quietly watched the scene unfold, feeling particularly uneasy inside.

Not even finishing dinner, she found an excuse to leave the Walyon Family.

Just wait! She wanted to see how many days Summer’s happiness would last!

...

Recently, Summer Sutton was returning to her room a bit early to change her wound dressings.

Adrian had been helping her with the medications these past few days. He usually seemed rough, but whenever he changed her medicine, Summer could feel he was noticeably gentler.

After helping her change the dressing, Adrian quietly stared at her, suddenly recalling what Summer said in their conversation that night.

She had said there was something she wanted to tell him many times.

Summer didn’t know what he was thinking, she stood up and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Her hand was injured too, so she had to avoid water when showering, making it a bit difficult to do alone.

After fumbling around for quite some time, not managing well, Adrian walked in, took the towel, and started helping her dry off.

Summer was utterly embarrassed, but his face was expressionless.

Watching him be all serious, Summer suddenly felt there was no need to be too sensitive.

After all, he’s seen all there is to see and done all there is to do.

Adrian was still thinking about what she said that night.

While drying her, he lifted his face, his gaze on her was somewhat deep.
