Chapter 328: Trouble with the Stomach

Chapter 328: Chapter 328: Trouble with the Stomach

Since Summer Sutton got married, she rarely gathered with her roommates and usually spent her weekends with Adrian Walyon.

This afternoon, Summer Sutton happened to have no plans, so after taking a call, she went out for afternoon tea with two of her roommates.

At four thirty, as she walked out of the western restaurant, she unexpectedly bumped into Gina Sutton, who had just come out of a nearby hospital.

Gina Sutton was holding her phone, seemingly about to call someone from home to pick her up.

When she saw Summer Sutton, she was taken aback for a moment.

Their gazes met in the air, and she was the first to greet.

"Sister, what a coincidence!"

Her tone was always sarcastic and gloomy.

"Yes, indeed!" Summer Sutton responded indifferently, and just as she walked to the roadside to hail a cab, Ryan Walyon’s car suddenly stopped in front of her.

Summer Sutton originally thought he was there to pick up Gina Sutton, but after he rolled down the window, he didn’t even glance at Gina Sutton.

From start to finish acting as if she didn’t exist, he casually greeted Summer Sutton, "You’re in this area too!"

"Yes, I came out in the afternoon to meet with my roommates," Summer Sutton explained.

"Finished? I’m just about to head back now." Ryan Walyon gestured to the seat beside him.

"Yes, it’s over." Summer Sutton glanced at Gina Sutton not far away and didn’t get in.

Gina Sutton shot her a fierce glare, clenching and unclenching her fists.

Ryan Walyon’s gaze followed hers in Gina Sutton’s direction.

Noticing his attention, Gina Sutton immediately composed herself, her expression softening, with a hint of expectation in her eyes.

Although she didn’t like Ryan Walyon, if she wanted to secure her position in the Walyon Family through their child, she had to gain Ryan Walyon’s attention!

Gina Sutton’s heart beat rapidly as she looked into his eyes, clear and bright, her expectation visibly apparent.

She thought that now, being pregnant with Ryan Walyon’s child, his attitude toward her would change somewhat.

She didn’t need him to be overly kind, just the basic respect was enough.

However, after a fleeting glance, Ryan Walyon withdrew his gaze.

"Get in!" His words were directed at Summer Sutton.

Throughout, he had no intention of acknowledging Gina Sutton.

Summer Sutton usually took care to avoid suspicion, especially since there had already been a misunderstanding with Adrian due to the handkerchief incident recently.

She stood there without making any move, "It’s okay, I can go back by myself!"

Ryan Walyon’s expression seemed to momentarily stiffen but he didn’t insist.

"It’s hard to get a cab here, let me take you to a better place!" He opened the car door and got out, intending to lead her away.

Gina Sutton watched their departing figures with rage, and just as Ryan Walyon took a step, her brow furrowed, and she suddenly clutched her stomach, squatting down, "Oh, my stomach! It hurts! It hurts..."

Her face contorted, seemingly in great pain.

Summer Sutton’s steps involuntarily halted.

Turning her head, she looked in Gina Sutton’s direction.

Gina Sutton squatted beneath a tree, holding onto it as if on the brink of collapse.

Several passersby had already gathered around her, observing her condition, "Miss, are you okay?"

"Do you need us to call an ambulance for you?"

"Can you still stand up on your own?"

Summer Sutton frowned, discreetly watching Gina Sutton.

She had been perfectly fine just moments ago!

Summer Sutton knew well how skilled Gina Sutton was at acting, frequently pretending in the past.
