Chapter 271: Chapter 271: My wife is in trouble, how could I not come?
"Summer Sutton!" The door to her hospital room was slammed open, Adrian Walyon’s face hadn’t appeared yet, but his voice was the first to ring out.
His call was loud, clearly revealing the urgency in his voice.
Everyone in the room froze for a moment, and their gazes all shot towards his direction.
Adrian Walyon pushed open the door and walked in, glancing around the room briefly, noticing Ryan Walyon present, he seemed startled for a moment.
"You’re in London too?"
Ryan Walyon stood up, calmly explained, "I came for business, staying here tonight."
Adrian stared at him for a while, muttered "Hmm," without further questions.
He walked straight over to the bedside, his gaze shifting to Summer Sutton lying on the bed.
Summer Sutton had bandages wrapped around her, only one or two places were dressed, judging by the area of bandages, the wound shouldn’t be severe.
She looked quite spirited, probably not in serious trouble.
Seeing her like this, Adrian Walyon secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
The burden in his heart finally dropped as he rushed over earlier.
As he sat by her bedside, Adrian scanned her for a moment, recalling what she had said in their previous phone call, his gaze softened suddenly.
"Are you okay?" Without asking for any details, he was only concerned about her current condition.
"I’m fine, just some skin burns, Jimmy rescued me when I was unconscious." Summer Sutton briefly told him the situation.
Adrian Walyon seemed once again taken aback.
Unaware of what he was thinking, Summer Sutton feared he might overthink, quickly interrupted him, "You got here so fast?"
"If something happened to my wife, could I not hurry over?" Adrian Walyon adjusted her blanket, retorting.
His words indirectly spread a bit of affection.
With so many people present, Summer Sutton felt slightly embarrassed.
"Thanks for this incident!" Adrian turned his gaze to Ryan Walyon, giving him a stern look.
"What are you saying? We’re family, it’s what should be done." Ryan Walyon barely tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"Hmm." Adrian responded softly to him, then turned his gaze to the others in the room, "Thank you all for taking care of Summer earlier, now that I’m here, you can all go about your business."
He was indirectly ushering people away!
Though his words were polite, he actually found so many people present quite obtrusive.
Everyone understood his intentions, and began to leave the room conscientiously.
With everyone else gone, Ryan Walyon had no reason to stay either, so he also exited the hospital room.
Before leaving, he turned his head and glanced at Summer Sutton lying on the bed, then strode outside.
The room suddenly fell quiet.
Adrian Walyon closed the door to the hospital room, returned to the bedside, and started examining Summer Sutton inside and out.
His actions were very straightforward.
He seemed to want to remove Summer Sutton’s clothes to check.
Summer Sutton, afraid of him, hurriedly pressed down on his hand, "I’m fine! Fine! The wounds are just external, two or three places, nothing else."
Adrian withdrew his hand from her clothes and stared at her intently for a while, seriously asking, "How did the fire happen?"
"I don’t know, the hotel should still be investigating." Summer shook her head.
Adrian didn’t ask further, deciding to investigate himself after she was discharged.
"Be more careful in the future, okay?" He tidied a small strand of hair on her cheek, advising.
"Got it." At this moment, Summer Sutton was extremely compliant, nodding to whatever he said.
