Chapter 264: Chapter 264: Find an opportunity to approach him
When Summer Sutton received lunch and saw the table full of nourishing recipes and various soups with herbal medicine for blood nourishment, she was speechless for a while.
After this incident, she was even more convinced that Adrian Walyon was a typical straight man.
He’s been nourishing her like this for the past few days — isn’t he afraid she’ll bleed out?
Summer was utterly speechless at him. Out of all the lunches Adrian had sent over, she barely ate any.
Not feeling well, she curled up on the sofa and fell asleep again.
...
Adrian Walyon was at work, but today he was somewhat distracted, occasionally thinking of Summer Sutton.
He wondered if she had her lunch and how her current condition was.
After hastily wrapping up his work around three in the afternoon, Adrian drove back to Sutton Gardens.
The villa was very quiet.
The lunch sent by the housemaid was left untouched on the dining table in the living room.
Adrian assumed that the servant’s lunch didn’t suit her taste, so in the evening, he asked the housemaid to prepare more.
He had quite a bit prepared. With just him and Summer in the house, the dinner sent over by the maid had no less than thirty dishes.
Various flavors, meat and vegetarian, allowing Summer to choose freely.
Once again, they were nourishing dishes.
When Summer came downstairs and saw the table full of food, she was once more speechless at him.
Who prepares this much for dinner for just two people?
Although not many of the things on the table were suitable for her to eat in the past few days, she inexplicably felt a bit touched.
It was his way of caring. Not knowing what she could eat or couldn’t eat, he just had a whole table prepared for her to choose from...
...
Ryan Walyon had been working overtime lately.
Leaving the office at eight in the evening, he originally wanted to check out Adrian Walyon’s office, but was informed Adrian had been leaving early to go home these days.
Ryan didn’t mind and, after leaving the company, didn’t head straight home but went to a social event.
Since returning to the country, he had quite a lot of social engagements. After joining the family company, there were even more.
Adrian was already married, so he had fewer social commitments now, with Ryan stepping in more often.
Tonight’s event was held at a foreign client’s home. When Ryan arrived, he started chatting with the host.
At eight-thirty, an unexpected figure arrived at the party, Gina Sutton.
Gina came with William Sutton. The Sutton Family’s current social standing wasn’t particularly high or low, so her appearance wasn’t unusual.
Although Ryan had seen her countless times at home, he had never looked her in the eye.
Running into Gina at the event, his face was indifferent, showing the attitude one would have towards a stranger.
Ignoring his coldness, Gina walked toward him in high heels with a smile, "Young Master Evans, you’re here too! What a coincidence!"
Ryan just responded with a faint "Mm," and when he was about to leave, she called out to him, "Since Summer is already at the Walyon Family, we’re technically family, right? It must be destiny meeting here today. Can I offer a toast to you, Young Master Evans?"
Ryan paused, his gaze slowly turning to her, his face expressionless, "Family? You and Summer, family?"
His tone was devoid of any waves, but it left Gina stunned.
She and Summer were always at odds and definitely not family, but one had to keep up appearances!
"Of course!" she nodded with a smile.
