Chapter 358 - 357: Speechless

Chapter 358: Chapter 357: Speechless

Lin Wan hadn’t cooked lunch yet and felt full after eating two apples.

The temperature dropped abruptly in the afternoon. Lin Wan put on a sweater over her autumn clothes and wore a woolen coat outside.

Even then, she still felt quite cold. She sat on the kang covered with a quilt, feeling much warmer.

As she warmed up, she fell asleep again.

Lin Wan didn’t wake up until around four or five o’clock, then she picked and washed the leeks, stir-fried seven or eight eggs, and mixed a leek egg filling. It filled a pot of dumplings.

When Han Yi came back from evening classes, Lin Wan had been busy all evening.

"You still haven’t eaten?" Han Yi studied until after eight, saw the freshly wrapped dumplings, and frowned slightly.

"It was too cold in the afternoon, I took a nap, didn’t set an alarm, and woke up late. I’m going to cook dumplings now, do you want to eat some?"

"Sure."

Lin Wan cooked dozens of dumplings, and the two didn’t go to the bedroom but ate them with bowls next to the kitchen stove.

Despite having dinner earlier, Han Yi ate even more than she did.

She was puzzled why Han Yi eats so much yet doesn’t have any excess fat on him.

After clearing the kitchen, they had just lay down on the bed when they heard the crying and noise from Wang Guihua and the child.

Even though there was an empty house in between and it was raining outside, they could still hear it clearly.

Lying in Han Yi’s arms, Lin Wan recounted the day’s events to him.

"In the future, keep things hidden well. People like that, the more you give, the more they want, finding less insufficient but never thinking much is too much. If you encounter issues like this again, just argue with her. If you can’t win the argument, come back and tell me, and I’ll go find her husband."

"Okay." Han Yi’s words warmed Lin Wan’s heart. See how a man who pampers you wouldn’t let his woman suffer during an neighborly dispute, regardless of right or wrong. Listening to the couple’s noisy quarrel outside, Lin Wan sighed and then listened to the sound of rain outside, frowning slightly, "Can we still go to Uncle’s house tomorrow?"

"We’ll go if the rain stops; if it snows, then we won’t go."

"Okay."

The noises outside continued for a while and then stopped. Lin Wan found a comfortable position in Han Yi’s arms and slept soundly until morning.

When she lifted the quilt, a wave of cold air rushed in, making Lin Wan shiver. She quickly put on her sweater.

Lin Wan didn’t wear thermal pants underneath, just her autumn pants, and she took a pair of Han Yi’s fleece pants from the wardrobe to wear inside.

When Han Yi came in, Lin Wan had just finished putting on his fleece pants, which looked long and baggy on her.

Han Yi quickly went forward to help her tuck in the pant legs, "Remember to bring more warm clothes next time."

"Okay." Lin Wan nodded, touching Han Yi’s clothes, "What are you wearing?"

"Sweater and warm pants. They’re thick, the outside iced over this morning, but it melted quickly."

"Is it still raining?"

"No more rain. I called Uncle this morning, said we’re going over at noon."

"Okay, let’s hurry and eat, finish eating and tidy up... By the way, how are we going?"

"I’ll go borrow a bicycle from Old Huang."

"Alright."

This morning, Han Yi made corn porridge and stir-fried cabbage with tofu.

Lin Wan suddenly found the cabbage with tofu delicious, ate a whole small bowl just of the dish.

Lin Wan was shocked and felt she should restrain herself in the future; otherwise, it’s easy to gain weight over winter.

After eating, Han Yi went to Sister-in-law Zhang’s house to borrow a bicycle, and Lin Wan used a cloth bag to pack things for Uncle’s house.

She packed two kilograms of apples yesterday and half of the venison she had. The eggs couldn’t be packed for fear they’d break on the way.

Lin Wan thought they’d find a place to buy something else once in H city.

When Han Yi took Lin Wan out on the bicycle, they passed by Wang Guihua’s door.

Wang Guihua was cleaning at the door and saw Lin Wan with a smile, "Captain Han and Lin, where are you going?"

It seemed like they hadn’t argued yesterday. She didn’t feel awkward at all.

Lin Wan wasn’t as heartless as her, didn’t respond with a smile, just hmm-ed and quickly passed by her door without answering her question.
