Wan Hongzhuang

Chapter 1267 The Meeting

The entire Immortal Realm was mobilized, and the God Realm was naturally no exception.

With the Sun God absent from the God Realm, the Taiyin God became the leader of the divine race.

The Taiyin God ordered the full mobilization of all divine race members, to immediately gather on the God Realm Continent and proceed directly to the Ghost Realm.

Across the entire Origin Plane, almost all combat-ready forces were surging in one direction—the Ghost Realm.

During times of peace, although these forces were under the jurisdiction of the Five Elements Hall, they still possessed a certain degree of autonomy, free to decide their own affairs.

However, the Five Elements Hall had a rule: once the Hall Master, Wan Hong, declared a state of war, the entire Origin Plane, and indeed the countless universes within the main plane, had to obey the arrangements of the Five Elements Hall unconditionally, without any dissent. Any deviation would lead to utter annihilation.

In normal times, the Five Elements Hall acted like a benevolent, just, and majestic ruler, with all forces developing peacefully under its management.

But during times of war, the Five Elements Hall would reveal its fangs and tear apart all enemies, whether they were external or internal.

The power of the Five Elements Hall was immense. Even setting aside the Immortal Venerables, all the forces and Saints in the entire Origin Plane combined were no match for the Five Elements Hall.

Furthermore, it was unlikely that all forces would unite to resist the Five Elements Hall. The Five Elements Hall had ruled the main plane for over fifty thousand years, and almost everyone in the entire Origin Plane was loyal and submissive to it.

Coupled with the brilliant victories achieved by the Hall Master Wan Hong in personally leading the war between Immortals and Gods and the war between the Positive and Negative forces, his prestige was exceptionally high. Everyone believed that under Wan Hong's leadership, they could defeat any enemy.

In the Origin Plane, if the Immortal Venerables were considered deities, then Wan Hong was the founding emperor who ruled all planes.

Everyone believed that even if an Immortal Venerable were to command the war, Wan Hong would command it even better.

After all, wasn't it the Immortal Realm that was constantly retreating under the attack of the God Race, forcing Xia Dayu to seek Wan Hong's help to take charge of the situation?

Not only the Immortal Realm and the God Realm were in motion, but the Ghost Realm, the front line of defense against the Demon Race, was also fully mobilized.

The direct army of the Ghost Emperor Hall had fully assembled above Ghost Emperor Island. Countless defensive fortifications were activated, all aimed at the breach in the spatial barrier in the sky.

Simultaneously, all spatial jump points on Ghost Emperor Island lit up, and countless troops emerged continuously, assembling and deploying.

There were hundreds of specialized commanders solely in charge of deploying these troops, all personally trained by Hall Master Wan Hong.

Among the torrent of warships that appeared, a ship with spread wings suddenly emerged, tracing an arc in the air before hovering above Ghost Emperor Island.

"What do we do now?" asked Dada, piloting the ship, to Wan Lei.

"I don't know either. I've reported to our squad, but we haven't received any orders on which army to assist with deployment. Maybe, Dada, you can think of something?"

Hearing Wan Lei's taunt, Dada chuckled and scratched his head. "What would I know? I'm just a strong-limbed laborer, a professional meat shield. Just tell me where to go, and I'll go."

"Don't underestimate yourself. You are an eight-star divine race member. In the God Realm, you would be a powerful figure, capable of establishing your own sect."

"Alright, alright, stop teasing me. Captain, hurry up and ask what we should do now."

The group looked at the countless armies assembled above Ghost Emperor Island, unsure of what to do. If the enemy had arrived, it would have been simple: just fight them. But the enemy had not yet arrived.

Suddenly, Wan Lei's expression shifted, and he said to everyone, "The Hall Master just sent me a telepathic message, asking me to attend a meeting at the Ghost Emperor Hall. You guys stay here and watch, I'm going now."

"The Hall Master wants to meet with you? Oh my, our Captain is about to join the decision-making stratum of the main plane. Congratulations, congratulations."

"Hmph, a bunch of unruly fellows. I'll also ask where we should deploy. I'm leaving."

Wan Lei waved his hand, flashed out of the warship, and flew towards the Ghost Emperor Hall.

He had been to the main hall of the Ghost Emperor Hall before, but last time he was unconscious.

This time, entering the great hall in earnest for the first time, the scene before him stunned Wan Lei.

Firstly, there were no ministers of the Ghost Realm in the Ghost Emperor Hall. Even the Ghost Emperor's throne had been removed.

Ghost Emperor Wang Xiaohang was among the crowd, looking distressed.

In the Ghost Emperor Hall, the left side area had two rows of large screens arranged at a right angle. Below them, many staff members were operating instruments. Wan Lei didn't quite understand, but he presumed this was the war command center, where instruments could quickly consolidate information from various legions and issue the Hall Master's commands.

The right side area had a large oval table with dozens of chairs arranged on either side.

Many staff members were seated on the left.

On the right, Wan Lei recognized many of them. They were all Saints!

Wan Lei's gaze swept across the assembled Saints, recognizing all of them.

Closest to him were the five Hall Masters: He Xu, Li Yan, Xi Sha, Xi La, and Dun Yong. They had once been a close-knit team, and were currently whispering to each other.

Then there was Ruo Shui, standing with a frosty demeanor. Beside her were Wan Qingyi and Wan Jianyi. The Hall Master of the Pill Hall, Zi Yan, was also present, as well as a Saint with deer antlers and a snake's tail. Wan Lei hadn't met him before, but he had seen his profile: it was Donghuang Taiyi, the Hall Master of the Demon Hall.

Further inside, Ghost Emperor Wang Xiaohang sat on a chair with a look of utter despair. Beside him, Mengmeng was whispering something, but Wang Xiaohang only longed for his Ghost Emperor throne.

In the center sat Hall Master Wan Hong, standing solemnly, his expression calm, appearing as steady as a mountain. Behind him stood the young monk Hui Yu and the Immortal Fairy Ming Hua.

Further inside, the Buddha, Di Jun, and an old man with an immortal demeanor were conversing. That old man was Patriarch Bodhi, the master of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, the Immortal Water Venerable Han Xiaofeng, and the five Hall Masters including Xi Sha. He had countless disciples, and if there were an award for "Best Immortal Mentor," he would undoubtedly win it.

Further inside were two people, one old and one middle-aged.

The old man, clad in a Taoist robe, held a horsetail whisk and was resting with his eyes closed. The middle-aged Saint, dressed in a simple white robe, had a calm expression but exuded an imperial aura that commanded respect even without anger.

These were Li Daoyuan, the first Saint of the Immortal Realm, Heavenly Venerate, and his eldest son, Li Chengtang, the founder of the Great Tang Empire, the first Tang Emperor, and now the Human Emperor.

In the farthest corner sat a swordsman, serene and solitary, as if countless starlight flickered in his eyes.

He was Wan Jianyi's master, the protagonist of the second Immortal-God War, the Starry Sky Sword Saint—Yao.
