"Senior Brother, the opposite side has six Tai Xu realm experts and one six-star Divine Race. Should we fight?"
These eighteen people were all wearing identical clothing, appearing to be disciples of some sect.
"Fight, why wouldn't we? There are only seven of them, and they aren't strong. Why let such fat sheep escape?"
The middle-aged cultivator, referred to as the Senior Brother, smirked and flew forward.
"Hey, you few."
Upon hearing their shouts, Wan Lei and Wan Qianxin exchanged glances. The two flew out, separating themselves from the battlefield. The others continued to surround and attack the giant beast.
The two looked at the group of over a dozen people.
"Leave your storage bags and scram immediately, and we'll spare your lives. Otherwise, don't blame us for being ruthless."
"Such standard villainous lines. I'm starting to suspect you guys deliberately arranged for them to show up."
Wan Lei chuckled softly to Wan Qianxin.
"If we could arrange for villains, wouldn't we just arrange for tens of thousands to kill them all?"
Wan Qianxin remained calm, showing no sign of boasting.
"Tens of thousands? Can you escape?"
Seeing that the two young men across from him were ignoring him and chatting amongst themselves, the Senior Brother felt his face lose composure.
"Hmph, ignorant juniors. You probably don't know the might of our Qi Yu Sect. In the Andromeda starfield, ask around about who we are."
Upon hearing this, Wan Qianxin's brow furrowed. He took out his spirit communication jade, flipped to a page of unknown content, and typed in "Qi Yu Sect." The information about the sect immediately appeared.
Following that, Wan Qianxin's brow furrowed even deeper.
"This is an evil sect that often engages in robbery, extortion, and bullying in the starfield. Their reputation is terrible, and the sect's overall conduct is very poor. They have been punished by the Five Elements Hall numerous times, yet they remain unrepentant."
"So, they're bad guys? Let's just kill them."
"Killing them is fine, we can kill them."
"I can't quite understand. If this sect is so wicked, why doesn't the Five Elements Hall eliminate them? With the strength of the Five Elements Hall, it should be easy to destroy these minor sects. And those lawless territories, why aren't they simply eradicated, instead allowing those wicked people to gather there?"
"For a cultivation plane with a complete order, the complete absence of villains is not necessarily a good thing."
Wan Qianxin smiled slightly. His words made Wan Lei pause for a moment, then he immediately understood.
No matter how powerful the Immortal Realm was, it couldn't escape the fact that it was a cultivation plane. Once disputes and the sense of crisis disappeared, the people here would become like flowers in a greenhouse. Over time, they might even forget how to wield a sword.
Not to mention, there was a powerful enemy race outside, constantly seeking to devour the entire righteous plane.
"I understand. Leave these enemies to Xiaoyu, Dada, and me. The giant beast is yours. I also want to see how strong the immortals in your Immortal Realm are."
Wan Lei proposed.
"What about us? We don't need heads, we need Fire Lotuses. We want the heads, so these people are naturally ours to deal with. The giant beast is yours."
Wan Lei sighed and said leisurely,
"I'm short on money."
"...We'll split the spoils of their battle later."
"Deal."
He had been waiting for this.
Wan Lei chuckled and turned to join the fight against the giant beast.
As for the other three youths, Wan Qianxin called them over, preparing to face the eighteen villains.
The eighteen individuals opposite them had fallen into a long period of silence. This silence made them feel awkward and ashamed.
The awkwardness stemmed from the fact that they had come aggressively to rob, yet the opposing side, despite sending out two people, had not shown them the slightest respect. Instead, they were discussing amongst themselves who would deal with them. And the outcome of their discussion was that four children, barely teenagers, would be responsible for them.
This was too humiliating. Their Qi Yu Sect was, after all, a notorious evil force, a presence that struck fear into countless cultivators. Even if they didn't flee in panic upon hearing their name, they should at least have sent out a few strong individuals to show them some respect. What was the meaning of sending out a few children? And the others dared to ignore them and attack the giant beast?
Feeling their faces were lost, the eighteen valiant heroes of Qi Yu, enraged, immediately attacked.
This time, their opponents also brought out their weapons.
Xia Yu Bing's weapons were two exaggeratedly styled crescent blades, emitting a deep, chilling aura. The tips of the blades gleamed with a profound, cold light.
Wan Qianxin held a pure black spear. At the front of the spear was a dragon's head, its gaping maw spitting out the spear tip. Upon closer inspection, the spear shaft was covered in fine dragon scales.
Han Xiaoyun held a cerulean longbow. The bow had a grip in the middle, and the bow limbs on either side were two curved blades. There was no bowstring, making it a weapon capable of both long-range and close-quarters combat.
And Bao Bao, the cutest among them, held a weapon that surprised everyone else – it was just a seemingly ordinary long staff, with no technological integration. It was just a staff, with bark and a few sprouting buds on it. It looked rather shabby.
"Bao Bao, restrain them. Xiaoyun, ranged output. Bing Bao, we attack."
Wan Qianxin roared, brandishing his spear and charging into the enemy ranks first, with Xia Yu Bing close behind.
Bao Bao's staff suddenly erupted with countless tendrils, enveloping the eighteen people.
The slender yet tough vines lunged towards the enemies. The enemies immediately reacted, launching many divine abilities and spells at the vines. Some repelled the vines, while others were directly bound by them, struggling in resistance, but none could destroy these vines.
Bao Bao stood silently in the distance, holding his staff, directing the vines to bind the enemies.
Han Xiaoyun's longbow continuously conjured ice arrows. Each arrow that struck an enemy exploded directly. While those with stronger cultivation could guard against them, and the ice arrows only left wounds on their bodies, those with weaker cultivation could only endure them head-on. Wherever the ice arrows exploded, they would directly freeze the struck area. Even if they used spiritual energy to thaw, the frozen flesh and blood would have already died.
If they only had Xiaoyun and Bao Bao, the enemies would not have been so disheveled. But the problem was, within their ranks, there were two killing gods. The presence of these two made it difficult for them to focus their full attention on resisting the distant attacks and restraints.
Wan Qianxin, wielding his spear, fought with broad, sweeping movements, charging into the enemy horde. In close combat, no one could withstand him for more than a single exchange. Behind him was Xia Yu Bing, wielding her two crescent blades, her movements as swift as a phantom. The whistling sound of her blade cutting through space was like the roar of a vengeful spirit, soul-stirring. If Wan Qianxin was a warrior charging into the fray, then Xia Yu Bing was an assassin who could not be guarded against.
