Even across such a vast stellar domain, Wan Lei could not see the northern or southern extremities of the continent. Those parts were lost in the pitch-black night sky, rendering its true size completely invisible.
However, Wan Lei had a sense of scale. Back in the Thunder Wind Realm, he could see the entirety of the Thunder Wind Continent when viewing it from an entire galaxy away.
But here, from across a stellar domain, he still couldn't discern the size of the continent before him, only catching sight of a small portion. This spoke volumes about how massive the continent truly was.
"That is the Immortal Realm Continent," Dadu said with a smile, seeing the shock on everyone's faces.
"We are in the Andromeda Stellar Domain, right next to the eastern side of the Immortal Realm Continent. We're too close to see the continent's entirety. Once we move a few more star domains to the east, further away, we'll be able to see it clearly.
The strongest powers in the Immortal Realm, including the Cold Gate and the Ancient Gate, as well as the Great Tang Empire and even the Five Elements Hall headquarters, are all on the Immortal Realm Continent. It is the strongest and most prosperous place in the Immortal Realm.
In the future, it would be better for you all to develop on the continent. The environment and the number of powerful individuals there are both top-notch."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Compared to that magnificent continent, the planets not far from them seemed as insignificant as tiny glass beads.
"Ascended cultivators?"
The two immortals, overhearing their conversation, looked at Wan Lei with surprise.
"Ah, yes, we ascended from a minor plane," Wan Lei replied. He saw no shame in it; he might be from the countryside, but the city dwellers might not be as strong as him.
Dadu proudly gave Wan Lei a thumbs-up and said to the two immortals, pointing behind him, "My brother ascended from the Middle Spirit Plane. Impressive, isn't he?"
Upon hearing this, the surprise on the faces of the two immortals instantly turned into reverence and envy.
"Is he really from the Middle Spirit Plane? Wow, that's amazing!"
"This fellow certainly doesn't look ordinary, and to think he ascended from the Middle Spirit Plane. Truly remarkable."
Wan Lei and the others were taken aback. The anticipated scenario where the city dwellers would look down on the country bumpkin, only for the bumpkin to prove them wrong, had been skipped entirely?
They had jumped straight to the stage of admiration and worship?
This abrupt shift in the narrative left Wan Lei momentarily bewildered.
"I heard that it's rare for even one immortal to ascend from a Middle Spirit Plane in ten thousand years. To cultivate all the way from such a barren place to the Immortal Realm and successfully ascend, and you look quite young too. Your talent is practically heaven-defying. With your talent, you could go and register for the Five Elements Hall assessment. You might even get in. Why don't you go?"
This statement left Wan Lei speechless. He couldn't exactly say, "I just arrived a couple of days ago and I don't know what to do yet."
Fortunately, Dadu came to his rescue.
"He's just going to complete a few missions first to get some bonus points for insurance. Although with my brother's talent, joining the Five Elements Hall is a sure thing, having bonus points is even better. My brother is just going along for the ride on this mission. It's not too late to join the Five Elements Hall after he's had his fun."
Dadu was also someone who could boast without batting an eye. Even when bragging on behalf of someone else, it felt immensely satisfying.
The other immortal's eyes lit up, and he looked solicitously at Wan Lei, "Brother, we're all going to the Desolate Star together. Let's team up when we get to the Molten Death Domain. There's more safety in numbers."
"No, no, we already have people we're teaming up with. Sorry about that," Wan Lei refused without a second thought.
It was a joke; he didn't even know these two's names or their character. How could he team up with them? What if they stabbed him in the back later?
Seeing that their attempt to latch onto a strong cultivator had failed, the two men sighed and sat back down. After all, a cultivator with such heaven-defying talent must also possess great combat strength. If they could form a team, their safety would be greatly enhanced.
The journey continued in silence. After an hour of flight, the spaceship had traversed more than half a stellar domain and arrived outside the star.
They did not land on the star but waited outside, dashing Wan Lei's hope of observing the cities on the massive planet.
There were already quite a few cultivators waiting in the starry sky, roughly numbering over ten thousand. Most were in the Immortal Realm, with fewer in the Mortal Realm. Many more spaceships were still bringing people over.
After Wan Lei and his companions disembarked, their spaceship turned and headed back, simply instructing them to wait there.
The group remained silent, waiting quietly far from the crowd.
An hour later, the crowd here had swelled to over twelve thousand people, and the transport spaceships finally stopped.
Wan Lei roughly calculated that including their group, there were exactly ten thousand cultivators in the Immortal Realm, and the remaining two thousand-plus were in the Mortal Realm.
Just as people were grumbling and complaining about why the interstellar train was not here yet, a train with many carriages appeared from the distant star.
This train had hundreds of carriages. Upon reaching the crowd, the doors of each carriage opened, and without any direction, the waiting crowd filed in.
Wan Lei and his group were farther away, and they boarded only after most people had already gotten on. However, there were fewer seats, and most people, including them, had to stand.
But those who could ride the interstellar train were generally cultivators, and there was little difference between sitting and standing. It was much more energy-saving than flying themselves.
The speed of the interstellar train was far greater than that of small spaceships. Everyone felt the starry sky outside rapidly reversing, a dizzying spectacle.
After traveling for a full half-day, they finally saw a fragmented continent in the distance. The fragments of the continent were sealed by formations, but the endless magma within could be vaguely seen.
Upon reaching the shattered continent, everyone disembarked.
The waiting continued.
Wan Lei, growing impatient, couldn't help but start complaining about the efficiency of the Five Elements Hall.
The activation of the formation required personnel from the Five Elements Hall.
When Wan Lei learned that this place was controlled by the Five Elements Hall, he understood. The talk of needing bounties to find ore crystals was all nonsense.
This place belonged to the Five Elements Hall. Why didn't they simply clear out the fierce beasts inside and let anyone come and mine?
The Five Elements Hall did not do this, but rather to provide a place for their disciples to gain experience and for other rogue cultivators to earn money. After all, although the Five Elements Hall was the ruler of the entire True Plane, they couldn't possibly hoard all the benefits while others got nothing, could they?
As the crowd stirred, a spatial passageway suddenly appeared in the starry sky, followed by a massive spaceship. And trailing behind it was a...
A Flame Phoenix with a body spanning a hundred li!
The phoenix was engulfed in scorching flames, emitting an extremely terrifying aura. Its size far surpassed that of the original Divine Race member, Dadu. The moment it appeared, it elicited gasps from below.
